Freedom
I yearn for the wings to fly away, the gentle bliss of being free.
No recourse, just the wind whistling, calling my name. The will to choose my path. the power to make my will.
I am a lost survivor, born into the world with the rest. no directions or guide, just haste. a haste to find the unknown.
Years of walking the lonely desert. emptiness; the desultory mirage. a mirage of hope and love – gone in a blink. to just lay down and die.
Darkness.
And then.
Freedom.
Luna’s guitar was written almost entirely in one day. The vocal melody is in a diminished half-whole scale; making it sound quite evil. This is a rare song where the lyrics (written by Chelsea) were actually written based on someone else’s life. She found a friend’s story so touching that it deserved its own song.

Hahahaha.. Homer knows what's up ;)
Chloe definitely misses the warmer weather and her tree... <3
If I were a Superhero...
I think I would be a mix of Catwoman and Wonder Woman. I think I'm the most cat-like person of the people I've ever come across (I become enchanted with string and plastic bags, I like shiny things, and I'm definitely bi-polar). I am, however, not fully like Catwoman because I aint no klepto - I'd be more of the Green Arrow, vigilante thief, if need be.
I am like Wonder Woman because I can kick ass, and have similar morals... and (as seen in the new 52) I love Superman ;)
Oh, and I can definitely fly an invisible jet with my mind. Don't worry bout it...
Who are you most like??
I think the most common cause of insomnia is simple; it’s loneliness.
Heath Ledger
Where you at?
I've joined Twitter and noticed that you're not following me. Shame on you!
Check out my Twitter account for all the crap I probably won't post on Facebook! <3

We need YOUR help!!
Lately we’ve been getting a street team together - now, this isn’t a street team in the literal sense. It doesn’t matter where you live, we need your help online! We want you to sign up to help us spread the word of Embracing Soul. This just means that we’ll e-mail you with...
"It's just so derivative of..." Blah blah blah
So all I've been seeing lately on Facebook, Twitter, in person, is people judging people, places, things, whenever they can! I understand critiquing - you go to a restaurant, you discuss what you thought about it afterwards - whatever... but it's people saying negative things about... well, anything!
I'm not saying I'm positive all the time - when I'm pissed about something, I'm probably going to hate everything for the next little while. However, I'm not a bitter individual who seems to be bottling everything inside (or so they THINK they're bottling it). Because that's what I see - a scared person, bottling their misspent days and letting it out on the world and anything they see fit.
This may not be the case for everyone - some people have it in their personality to be sarcastic or snarky, and that's cool. But to the rest: chill the f-ck out and be f-cking HAPPY! What could it hurt to think of everything as beautiful? or unique? or brilliant? Not every painting you see must be critiqued to its core about how it's derivative of blah, blah, blah....
I haven't been the personal victim of one of these individuals' transgressions (that I know of) but I still feel the need to say just live and let live...
The Luna EP Process
The Luna EP for Embracing Soul is finally out!! After years of writing, and long months of recording, we finally managed to bring in the new EP! But there was a lot more to it than just this...
The past year, Brandon and myself have been attending Trebas Institute; a private college in Toronto. These are 1 year programs with no summer break - in which I took Entertainment Management and Brandon took Audio Engineering and Production.
We spent 5 days a week there - with a 4 hour/day travel time - to try and learn how to do what it is we can now be so proud to do.
With roughly 10 different courses every 3 months, we managed to pull through and learn a butt-load - with help from some truly amazing teachers and staff!
During this process, Brandon, Tom and myself worked hard to continue writing for Embracing Soul and put the band together (by trying to find a drummer that didn't so pann out).
I created a lot of marketing plans and schedules for the summer and once school was done - I could hardly wait to start using what I had learned for the band and for other bands.
We played one show, that I must say was a bust (however would like to give props to bassist Jonathan Cairo for pulling shit together in such short notice) - and let loose an old ball and chain to make way for what things really needed to get done.
We spent each day making new artwork and promotion plans to try and get it all off the ground without using outside sources.
Spending everyday the past few months coming up with new promotions, videos, vlogs, artwork, and practicing all the songs was definitely loaded, but still fun.
Brandon got to spend countless days (and long nights) editing all the recordings we had just done, then finally mixing them and mastering them even over his birthday!
Then of course, the help of Lillian Lazenby of Mad Carni Productions to make the music video. This was awesome of her to do, and a big help!
What I'm trying to say, is that this was a massive production for something that now seems so small - but we are proud to say that we did it all ourselves and would like to continue to make the music, record it, and distribute it all ourselves in the future as well through our self-owned company Illusive Records.
The money we make from this album is not going into our pockets; it is going straight into funding our full-length album that we hope to have ready for late 2013/early 2014. We're still writing (and wrote something new just yesterday) and we are halfway to having a full-length written.
Our plan is to get physical CD's made up and distribute them wherever we have fans! - We also want to make packages for the fans with custom picks and posters.
So if you haven't heard it yet, go check it out; 5 songs - $5 - with a donate option should you so choose!
Thank you to friends, family, and fans everywhere for the support - we appreciate it so much, and it's what helps to get us through the rough spots! <3
