Two of my favorite things:  Montreal + bagels June 25, 2016

Montreal bagels are dear to my heart.  I want to go back to eat more bagels and actually see the city in all of its tasteful graffiti mural glory.  I’m so glad I found this post from Bleubird whose Instagram I heartily admire.

Montreal is on my mind because my friend is visiting it right now.  Oh, how I miss that city.  It’s so gosh darn beautiful.  The art scene!  The buildings!  The streets!  The food...

Right, the food.  If you’ve seen Anthony Bourdain’s Montreal episode, you were probably expecting an exclamation point just then.  Believe me, I was, too.  Unfortunately, I can’t speak much about it from experience.  Food turned into my worst enemy during my first visit to Montreal last August.  *Gasp.* I’m a foodie; it was heartbreaking.  I became bedridden on my second day there.  Thankfully, I was able to stomach St-Viateur Bagels pre-illness.  Better yet, I was able to eat one at the airport upon leaving! There’s that much deserved, elusive exclamation point.

Insert all the hands-in-the-air emojis for St-Viateur Sesame Bagels.  Eating that before my flight home marked a bittersweet goodbye in so many ways.

I’ll be back one day.  For now, I’m embracing the fact that today is my one month birthday, and it was a perfectly good one month birthday.  St-Viateur Bagels would be nice though.
