'Most people call me a freak and it's not because I dress strange or dye my hair funny colors. They call be a freak because I've spent more time in a hospital than my own house. My name is Zoe Hart. I'm sixteen years old and when I was ten, I found out that I have AML, or acute myeloid leukemia. It doesn't change who I am as a person, which is a fun loving teenager. Cancer doesn't define me, it's just something I have to deal with. And it's not even the worst part. The chemotherapy is the worst part. It makes me sick all the time. I'm still a teenager. I like to go to the mall and I love school, but like with everything else, I get tired really fast. So, school is usually half days for me and when I go to the mall, I usually only stay for an hour. Headcanon

Zoe loves to read. Mainly classics like the Odyssey and Dante's Inferno, but occasionally she likes fantasy themed books. She likes the Hunger Games and The Maze Runner as well. To her, reading is a good way to pass time. Since she found out she had cancer, Zoe has read over 300 different books.

Headcanon

Zoe has been living at Ocean Park Hospital for two years, but before that she had gone to three different hospitals. Her parents moved a lot for work, but they refused to leave and work without her being in a hospital. They're both rich, but wouldn't dream of not letting their daughter get treatment.
