Rain, Rain, Go Away (Chen x You)
Jongdae was enjoying the best night’s sleep that he had had in months. After being away and touring with the group, it was nice to finally be home and snuggled up in a familiar, comfortable bed.
He was in the middle of a particularly funny dream when a loud crash and a scream jolts him awake. It takes him a couple of seconds to realise that the crash was the sound of thunder. It takes him a couple more seconds to realise that the scream came from you and that you had hidden yourself under the duvet.
“Y/N?” he asks sleepily, poking the lump of duvet where he presumed you were.
“Please make it go away” you beg, your voice muffled by the duvet as another roar of thunder sounds and makes you whimper.
Laughing, Jongdae attempts to pull the duvet away from you and you fight him to keep it. “I’m afraid I can’t do that, as much as I would like to try” Jongdae replies as you pull the duvet away from your face to pout at him.
“But your superpower is lightning! You’re supposed to be able to control it! Make the storm stop!”
“I’m afraid I’ve been away from EXOPlanet for too long. My powers have weakened significantly since I arrived on Earth” Jongdae explains seriously, humouring you.
Lightning flashes across the sky before more thunder roars across the sky. The rain beats against your window and this time you scream again and bury your face into Jongdae’s chest, his arms immediately wrapping around you.
“Rain, rain, go away, come again another day” he sings as you lightly hit his arm.
“I hate you” you mutter, covering your ears from anymore thunder. Jongdae loved to tease you about most things. His teasing made up at least 75% of your relationship. He knew how much you hated thunder storms however, and he wasn’t a complete jerk contrary to popular belief.
“Because I cannot make the storm go away, would you like to hear about this funny dream I was having before I was woken up?” he asks, gently moving your hands away from your ears and holding you closer.
“Pretty please” you reply, trying your hardest to ignore the rain pelting against the window as Jongdae began his story.
Because there’s currently a thunder and lightning storm happening over here, I am the only one home right now, and I would REALLY love for Chen to come use his powers and make it go away!
