Floof Friday! Special post for my needy mummy's boy, this was yesterday afternoon snuggled in, purring his head off 🥺

Okay you might read this & roll your eyes but hear me out!

So I have a few plants/flowers in the garden, including a hanging basket that I chucked some bee friendly seeds in & hoped for the best, Charlie Dimmock I am not 💃🏻

About a month ago I noticed a snail in the basket when I went to water, so I left that cos I'm not that mean, & after a few days I googled what they can eat, we had carrots so I sliced some little carrot bits really finely. It loved it! Gave it some like every few days then it left after 2 weeks. I am not a snail girly but I was actually a bit sad, had defo become attached 🙄

I've just gone out to water said flowers & what do I see in the hanging basket...

THREE SNAILS!

Am I mad for thinking this is my mate & they came back with their friends like "trust me this place has the best carrots!" 👀🤷🏻‍♀️

Last night was a bit of a struggle at bed, Balrog was still awake after 1hr so I gave her her Eevee teddy & lots of kisses, said I'm downstairs so just shout if you need me. She was quite alright just playing with Eevee til she fell asleep (watching on monitor) & it meant I could spend some time cleaning the living room, putting away toys/books she's too big for, cleaning what's left & reorganising them so she might wanna play with some things that have been hidden for a while.

It worked cos this morning she saw her magnatiles & got really excited! I was having my coffee & she came over & said "let's play together!" It was so adorable 🥺😭

She's back at the childminders tomorrow which I think I'll find strange as I've been with her all week bar Thurs/Fri at the office.

Still working out what to use on my hair but this is washing last night, scrunching some mousse in & roughly drying it, then reactivating it this morning - still not the best but it looks better.

The hairdresser was like ooh there's some waves coming through now I've put layers in, I'm like cursing the previous hairdressers who refused to give me layers! Rude, boo to them all (all two of them)

Went for a waddle on my lunch cos the suns come out thankfully. Went to Aldi to get some bits & they've moved everything about & I Hate. It.

Like I was actually annoyed walking round trying to find what I needed, I need to get a grip 🥴

On my way into the office, it's going to be 28° later so I've put a comfy green midi dress & my Doc sandals on cos yano ✨️sertraline overheating✨️ is real.

It's currently drizzling & I've seen lightning twice while on the bus, hoping it stops soon!

Trying to get Balrog to use the potty/toilet in this heat is a full on battle, she's so stubborn about it & with me being on sertraline I just don't have the energy for much while its this hot.

I feel like such a shit mum cos I am trying but she just doesn't wanna do what I'm asking her to do, even if I make it into a game or whisper, nothing she sticks her tongue out & is like nope sod off 🙄 being home from the childminders doesn't help either!

The washing machine guy came 30 mins before the allotted window was meant to start, which is amaaazing! I've just put the cycle on to prep it for all the friggin washing I'm gonna do 😂

Does anyone regularly pull their washing machine out to clean behind it? Cos I heard D apologise twice for there being like fluff etc behind the machine 🥴

Also need to go waddle to M&S to pick up a parcel - I used the gift cards myself & Balrog got from my uncle to get her a new bag & a striped dress, & me a nice olive green cotton vest, a new belt & a nude bodysuit thing to wear under dresses. Also means I can wear my Docs sandals D got me from Vinted last month 💃🏻

I just left a 3 star review on Vinted, & idk, I feel a little bad. I ordered some cute dresses for Balrog & they're as described but they were sent in a flimsy see through freezer food bag. Like it ripped as it was delivered, just seems moronic to me 🥴 I know people send stuff in worse things!

But still, now I'm like maybe it's all she had & I'm being mean 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think that when you're overstimulated you should appear kind of grayed out and no one should be able to interact with you like a locked character in a video game

Yesterday was a fun albeit slightly stressful time after my haircut. D & Balrog picked me up so I grabbed us coffee while I waited from a deli the hairdresser recommended. Will have to find an excuse to go back cos they sold huge hoagies that sounded amazing. We went to a shopping park to go Homesense for a new raised cat bowl as I smashed one, we got one, a fabric debobbler, a tin opener cos ours is so rusty, a dish drainer, again ours was manky. Also got Onyx a new toy, I turned round & Balrog was filling the basket with toys 😂 so she picked him a lobster roll 🤷🏻‍♀️ also got myself a water bottle & Balrog one as well as a strawberry lunchbox cos she loves strawberry anything at the mo.

I also got to go Hobbycraft & get more thread for Moana & Mordor pieces. Also got some bubbles but I didn't pay attention & they're magic bubbles. Instant regret cos it was like glue all over all our hands 🥴 ffs!

Went to the Asda homestore & got some presents for her birthday next month - how is she 4!? I'm not having it sorry - as well as a cute lilac checked plant pot, & new dishes cos we've both broken so many in the last year 🫣 but yeah generally stuff we needed plus some fun bits. Also had some meltdowns & refusing to walk which yeah, wasn't too bad but its more the snotty ass people glaring as they walk by. As if they were never a baby nor have they ever been upset 🙄

Today's a chill day, D has managed to get some bits to the tip which is amazing, been playing football & hot wheels with Balrog too 😊

It's not like super shaggy & I gave up trying to get a good photo, but the hairdresser was amazing, she did what I asked for & I also said like you're the expert like whatever you think would look good. So she did longer layers & more of a side fringe cos that's what I'm used to. Then next time I go she said we can try a middle part with more of a curtainy fringe if I want 😊

So so happy with it, haven't had my hair cut in like 6 months & even then they refused to give me layers so I literally just got a trim. Kicking myself for not finding this salon sooner, she was absolutely lovely & we chatted about so much stuff, was so laid back!

Putting makeup free selfies under the line cos I do not like how I look atm & Balrog calling me "grandma!" everyday doesn't help, funnily enough 🥴

This is how boring my hair is atm. Like just hangs there, it's fine but I need a change. I've started roughly blow drying it with some mouse to give more volume, but I'm hoping the hairdresser tomorrow can do a shag style cut on me. Like nice layers & sweepy fringe thing? I've seen so many tik toks of women with my hair type getting that cut & clearly I think it'll transform my whole life 😂

Just sick of where we live being so shit that I've gotta travel 1hr to get to a decent salon, but it'll be worth it! I'm hoping to go to a shopping estate after for Hobbycraft & Homes Homesense 🤭

I'm off work now til next Wednesday my dudes! 🎉💃🏻 very excited to get my hair done & spend some time with my faves 😊

I will however say that handwashing clothes in the bath is not the one. I've only done like maybe a quarter of a load, but my god my back & arms are in agony. I wouldn't have survived washing my clothes in the river with rocks at all. Cannot wait for the new washing machine to arrive!
