“Well, some people have this hatred towards tomatoes, pickles, onions, cheese, etcetera.” She hummed, noting that he didn’t want any mayo. “But, out burgers are best with everything on them.”
Danielle laughed, head nodding. She had seen the blonde frequent the diner, but she hardly sat in her section. Picking up the menu, she pulled out her tiny notebook, writing down the order. “So, a sprite with lemon, a triple chocolate shake with extra whip cream, the mega burger with bacon and pepper jack, a grilled chicken patty, onion rings with special sauce, hot-wings, curly fries, and a house salad with ranch?” She questioned, not trusting that she had gotten everything written down.
Head nodding, Danielle figured that was what Lana was going to order, the milkshake being one of the most common things that the blonde ordered. “That’ll be coming right up.” She smiled a bit wider, walking to the back and letting the chef know. She made another appearance at the table as her eyebrows raised slightly. “Where’s Rosie at?”
“We do have coffee,” The brunette kept the smile on her face as she checked the watch on her wrist. “I can always get you both, if you’d like?” She questioned, bringing her hands to clasp in front of her as she waited for a response.
Danielle nodded, walking to go and grab the metallic pot that held the coffee. Little did she know, the pot was empty so it took longer than it should’ve to get the customer her coffee. Making her way back to the table she offered the other a sheepish smile. “Sorry, we were out of coffee.” She laughed, pouring some into the cup that was on the table.
“Are you ready to order?”
roryxsloan:
Rory was awake before noon today, but at what cost? Separating idiots from the general population of the Fox had proved exhausting as he worked well into the wee hours of the morning. And now here he was, hood up and head down at Aldwin’s, hoping to eat something and not feel like death. Instead he got a voice pitched at a normal, friendly, entirely-tippable volume, so he pretended not to be exhausted. “Water’s fine,” Rory drawled. “Plus a burger, and whatever soup of the day. Please.” Which was a word almost strictly reserved for service workers in his mind, so he still had to add it as an afterthought.
Head nodded as he spoke, writing everything down on her little notepad. Danielle noticed how tired he seemed, but she didn’t question it. “Do you want everything on your burger?” She questioned, eyebrows raising slightly as her pen tapped on the paper.
Eyebrows were raised slightly as honey coloured hues surveyed the diner. It wasn’t us busy as usual, and she was thankful for that. But, as with all slow days it was boring. As the ring of the door filled the space, she sat up from the stool she was sitting on, grabbing a couple menus. Watching as the person sat down, Danielle walked up a warm smile on her features. “Here’s a menu, is there anything you’d like to drink?”
Distracted slightly, Cleo couldn’t be sure if she heard something or not. “Did you say something?” She looked over her shoulder, offering a glance to the person within the closest distance. “Can you be quiet?”
Danielle was only trying to do her job, and sure, that sometimes came with some customers who aren’t polite. But, with it only being the beginning of her shift (and not to mention it was a Monday,) she just wasn’t having it. “I’m only trying to do my job, here. If you’re not going to order anything, then you can leave.”
thinking "i'll teach them" well, i'm refusing the lesson it won't resonate in our minds i'm not disrespecting what was left behind just pleading that "it" does not get glorified maybe we swap out what it is that we hold so high find your grandparents or someone of age pay some respects for the path that they paved to life, they were dedicated now, that should be celebrated
swiggity swag, let’s have some tags.
