i'll leave the porch light on. Vivienne & finn boyle ( @wastelcndbby )
"You're sweet," Vivienne smiled, french accent soft as she spoke to the man. "Thank you." She mentioned, glad that she met someone kind enough to leave the porch light on, mostly because she tended to forget. "For remembering to leave it on."
i'm far too tired to watch you lie. - sabrina and faith lehane ( @signcfthetiimes )
"What makes you think I'm trying to lie?" Sabrina questioned, brushing her hair behind her ears. "I really don't know how that happened." The blonde shrugged as she met the other's eyes. "It just did, maybe it's a magical cup or something?"
it is not irrelevant that you stopped taking your medicine but i'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. - zuko & niamh o'farrell ( @signcfthetiimes )
"Hello, Niamh," Zuko greeted the nurse, his hand rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly at her words. "I didn't think I needed to finish them? I mean, I feel fine now." He explained, smiling slightly at the redhead. "It should be fine, right? It didn't say anything about anything happening if I stopped taking it."
i swear you're gonna get it, kid. someday. - Luffy & Joel ( @signcfthetiimes )
"You think so?" Luffy questioned, smiling brightly at the older brunette. He hoped that the other was right, that eventually he would get what he was after. "I'm sure it'll take a while, though, but hopefully someday is soon."
every day from back then is like a bad old dream. Cillian & Annie ( @hcpefuldreaming )
"Yeah, I could relate to that." When his memories first started to come back, he thought they were just bad dreams. Then he dreamed of his death, and he knew then that it was real, that his life before Ivy Cove wasn't just a dream; it actually happened. "I once thought the same."
closed starter || jack o’brien and cillian mccullough
it was getting late at the bar, jack figured he only had an hour or so left of his shift. he decided to make an early start on the closing tasks, wiping off the glasses and keeping an eye on any patrons needing a fuller glass. he expected the usual crowd to stay until close, then head out. it was rare to have new people come in so late. so when he heard the door open, he was unexpectedly pulled from his duties. “what can i do you…..for.” jack stopped his polishing of the glasses. he set down the glass and looked into it. he could see his reflection…he was seeing straight. so why the fuck was he seeing his dead friend when he tilted his head up. “you’re such a bastard.” jack felt a sharp pang in his chest, like his heart was warring with several emotions all at once. “cill…that really you?”
@cherryxwiine
"Rude," Cillian teased as he moved to sit across from Jack, tapping his fingers against the bar. "Just like it's rude not to offer me a drink, Jack. I think I deserve it, I mean, I did promise to get you one after the war, and we got back home. Well, war is over, so I'm cashing in on that promise." He gave the other man a smile before reaching over the bar to grab glasses for them both, then gestured towards the whiskey. "It's really me, alive and in one piece. It's good to see you, Jack."
penelope was taken out of her thoughts by the sound of her husband's voice. "in here, dear." she smiled when he entered, her thumb brushing his knuckles. she looked at him curiously, her brow furrowing. "you fell in love with me, you built me an unmovable bed as a sign of our love, and you returned home to me after twenty years. you have fairly good track record when it comes to surprises, i'll take the surprise." she laughed. "lead the way."
Odysseus placed a kiss on her brow before pulling her up from where she was sitting to bring her with him. "Those were all good surprises, I'm sure. I don't think this one is going to be as good." He mentioned with a small frown. "These are for you; they detail my journey home to you. I might have a hard time telling you about it, but at least you'll know what it took to get home to you."
▸ you've been the best five minutes of a shitty old year. (alucard & any)
“only five minutes? surely a good time with me lasts longer than that.” james smirked at his clever double meaning. he simply could resist flirting at all, let alone with a man so genuinely handsome and intriguing. “but i’m touched, really, getting all emotional and everything. i always knew you liked me, irresistible i am.” he grinned confidently, teasing just a little. “and anyway, you’re not so bad yourself. i’m happy to have met you… son of dracula. you’re not what i thought you’d be.”
"Hmm, maybe." He laughed at the flirting as he moved to sit beside James. "Emotional? Maybe I'm just trying to keep you charmed enough to let me have a bite." Alucard teased, flashing his teeth in his smile as he placed a hand on the other man's shoulder. "Oh, am I better than expectations? Hmm, did you figure out who my father was by my name, since it's just the backwards version of his? Or are you just good at detective work? If it's the latter, then you should know my name is actually Adrian, which I suppose you can call me, if you want."
it was the first restful night she had had in a long time. keegan had that effect on her, lulling her to sleep with his damn irish accent, and stupid, lovely singing. so she was delighted when she awoke to the same face she fell asleep to, but only for a moment. “you don’t have to go.” she insisted. “tell them you have a very pretty girlfriend who is tragically sick, and you need to take care of her.” she offered so seriously it could have been funny. she moved her head to catch his lips in a lazy, sleepy kiss. “stay.”
"Oh, is that what I should do?" Keegan lightly teased, amusement bright in his eyes. "I suppose I can be tempted into staying. I mean, if only to take care of my poor, sick girlfriend." He laughed, kissing her back while his hand tangled in her blonde hair. "I guess I can stay, I do work for myself, and I'm sure my employees would be happy to have a day off." Keegan pulled his shirt off before climbing back into bed next to her.
@cherryxwiine || How great you can get paid just for that. (Lukas & Any)
"It can't be this easy can it?" Velora shook her phone a little as she looked up at him, cocking her head. "Just take some surveys and make money? I doubt it can amount to much." She still looked back at the ad thoughtfully, biting at her thumb as she thought. "It'd be nice though."
"Maybe it is? I mean, other people can get easy money from other things." Lukas shrugged, laughing slightly. "I think it might just be a scam, a way to steal someone's information." He mentioned, knowing that people probably already did it.
@cherryxwiine || Let's have a look at your arm. What happened here? (Odysseus & Any)
She looked up sharply from where she'd been examining the injury against the wall, not expecting anyone else to have happened upon her here. It was just a scratch, going from her outer wrist up to her elbow, but it certainly stung. However, Viviana was more irritated the knife had made contact with her anyways, knowing it was a sign of her getting sloppy. She had been about to just rip the hem of her shirt for a bandage just till she could get home when the man had spoken. "It's nothing you need to worry about sir. Just a scratch."
"Seems like more than a scratch," Odysseus mentioned, dark hues going to her injury before shaking his head. "Come on, I have a first aid kit, at least it'll be bandaged up properly." He spoke, gesturing for her to follow him. Odysseus was glad he had children since it meant he kept a first aid kit with him at all times. "It'll be quick, then you can be on your way."
@cherryxwiine || Hey, it's cold, you should wear another layer. (Elia & Any)
Xiao looked up in surprise at the other speaking to him, a serious expression on his face as he gave a nod. "'I appreciate the concern miss, thank you. But I'll hopefully be alright, I'm only out for a few errands before I head home. I'm used to difficult conditions, but thank you for the thoughtfullness."
"Alright, just don't stay out for too long, wouldn't want to catch a cold," Elia mentioned, knowing she sounded like the mother that she was. "I am as well, which might be why the cold bothers me. I apologize for bothering you."
"If they were open till 2 last time we should have no problem now! And if so, we'll figure out another place to go!" Elia grinned at the other, leaning in and looking up at him. "We will go to all the bars necessary to have a good time. Let's go!"
"First round is on me," Adam smiled, while making sure he had everything he needed for a night out. "It'll be fun, we can go bar hopping instead of just staying at one of them? Try every bar's signature drinks?"
Delilah made a tisk sound as he spoke. "Still is not at all how I'd describe the night." She admitted honestly toward the other. "Quieter, yes, depending on the location." Any home of hers and Sylas was far from quiet for various reasons. Be it the souls of the damned or them just having fun. "Only thing still in life is death, everything else is quite full of something.. you just have to know where to look."
"Death isn't still. I think Hades is actually always quite busy; people are always just dying to get into the underworld." He laughed to himself. "I don't know how else to describe the night; it was still the night that I died." He mentioned, remembering the night he died and how everything went still, even the birds stopped singing.
Nami's face froze for a moment, that voice. She turned completely on her heels with a confused look that melted into a smile, that quickly turned to a frown. No. She thought to herself. Not Luffy. She knew that look in his eyes, she had seen it on many still wandering this town blissfully unaware of who or what they were. Her heart sank like an anchor to the pit of her gut, turning it sour. It took her a moment to clear her throat and turn back to her sketches. "Thanks." There was a pain in her voice that she couldn't mask. "I'm a navigator and cartographer." She explained, "Figured I'd take on the challenge of mapping the island." Especially given she didn't see herself going anywhere else anytime soon.
Luffy looked at her, really looked, when he heard the pain in her voice, almost familiar like he had heard that same tone before. Yet it was on a different island, one that he wasn't going to leave without all of his crew. A crew? Almost like he fancied himself a pirate, a captain. "A navigator?" He questioned, focusing more on her while still eating. A memory, or maybe not a memory, flashed through his head. He and four others were around a barrel, talking about their dreams; his was to be king of the pirates, and hers was to draw a map of the world. "Just the island? Not the world?" Luffy questioned, a smile on his face, almost teasing.
@cherryxwiine asked : “ i washed dishes last night. its your turn. “ katara & zuko.
‘ no problem , i got it. ‘ katara nodded her head at his words , it was the least she could do given how much she had been working lately. katara had been working more to try and avoid the conversation that was bound to happen when zuko started to get his memories back. katara also didnt know how to feel about it all , because her feelings were real even if the the new memories werent real. katara was worried about what would happen once they talked about it. katara felt guilty for shutting him out though , because she did want to be honest with him but she didnt want him to leave. ' did you eat dinner yet? '
Zuko looked at her from over the rim of his cup of tea, his single brow raising as he studied her, then he shook his head. "No," He answered, as he moved around the kitchen to take out plates and set them down on the island. "I was feeling a bit hopeful that we would be able to eat dinner together." He was being truthful and vulnerable in a way he was only with her. "Dinner should be ready soon, if you want to wash up?" Zuko mentioned, giving Katara a smile before moving to finish with dinner.
