"Shit shit shit...."

Viviana was rarely messy, but sometimes she didn't know what magics to prepare for or who had superhearing in a vicinity. She blamed whoever had hired her, for not including all the details, but she was currently running with a very expensive artifact in her pocket hoping that she could get enough distance to get out of sight before people were on her.

What she didn't anticipate was the largest man she'd ever seen to step into her path and for her to run straight into his chest; trying to ignore the thought of how impressive it was he barely moved as she looked up at him. Then smiled brightly when she saw who it was. "Oh wonderful! Bull!" They'd flirted before, Viv honestly very into the beast of a man but she supposed she was about to owe a favor. "If you are so inclined I would very much appreciate it. I understand if not, I am very quick, I can keep running."

“come on, you can hide with me.” bull took her hand and ran alongside her. she wasn’t wrong, she was fast. he was nearly out of breath when they reached his apartment, so much so that his couch cushions flattened under his weight as he plopped himself down. “mi casa, su casa.” he opened his arms, as if to proudly display his nice, if somewhat messy apartment. “make yourself at home. the police won’t check here, they have no reason to suspect we know each other, and i haven’t given them too much trouble for them to randomly drop by. stay as long as you’d like, the bed is in that room, just past the living room.” it wasn't any secret that they were into each other, bull had picked up on their shared interest pretty quick at the bars. but he kept his distance. his only motivation tonight was making sure she was safe, and he could provide that at his place, could distract cops if he needed to. she was a friend above everything, and he didn't want her in a cell somewhere. he was sure she had her reasons. “so, you’re a thief, pretty good one too. you’ve been doing this a while, huh?” he guessed, wondering where the pretty girl had learned such a specific skill set.

Dorian was starting to believe this place was out to get him. Finding out Solas was here and lying as always was stressful enough, especially knowing the bastard was in government. It was a nightmare, but one he couldn't do much about. He'd fallen back on bad habits and was drowning himself in his work, but it was working out for him so far.

That is until he walked into this particular bar, live musicians blaring and not usually the crowd he fit in with. But He liked the place because it reminded him of the tavern in Skyhold some days. This particular day it was far too similar, that booming voice and the shadow on the stage it was coming from a ghost he never thought he'd have to face again. The last time he'd seen the Qunari, the man he'd loved, he'd been betraying them all to the Qun. He'd been dying, whispering apologies as...

Dorian cut the thought off before he could get too drowned in that sorrow again. It'd been a decade, and Dorian had moved onto other men, but it hadn't been a good end. And yet, somehow, Bull zeroed in on him again, Dorian's kohl-lined eyes dark as Bull moved closer, grinning at him like the madman he was. He nearly flinched at the nickname, it all too much and too close. Bull was alive, and obviously didn't remember. Which, was likely for the best.

Realizing it was odd he hadn't spoken Dorian just rolled his eyes and focused back on the drink being set in front of him, wishing he'd ordered something stronger than the wine. "You must think I have an impressive nose to be able to smell you from that distance, but no. Simply looking at the man shouting over the entire bar. And perhaps I have seen a ghost, there are a few of those around." Dorian was already looking for an exit, hoping he'd be able to finish his wine quickly so he could leave and get drunk in the privacy of his own home."

“not sure what would be more impressive, your sense of smell, or my delightful musk.” he joked, just trying to get the other to smile. he wasn’t really sure why, but he just had an instinct to make sure the other was okay. he always wanted good people to be okay, but something about the other had certainly compelled him. not that he believed in woo-woo stiff like that…and yet… “people you lost came back.” bull picked up quickly. he could tell it held more weight than the other really let in on. specific comments like that weren’t just banter, or at least bull was willing to bet on that. and while he didn’t expect the other to be a complete lightweight, he knew booze could always loosen the lips. and the last thing in the world he wanted was to make an innocent stranger sad on a night that was meant to be fun. “i look like someone you know, or at least remind you of them. i’m a little surprised, i don’t know many people who look or act like me. but…uh…i’m sorry. i didn’t think you were literally looking at a ghost, just a saying i threw out.” bull tried to catch the other’s eyes, hoping to convey a genuine apology, knowing he could come off as unserious otherwise. “let me buy you a drink, yeah? i’m the iron bull, by the way, but you seem alright, so you can call me bull.” he introduced with a softer smile, offering his hand.

bull brought the other some snacks and a mug of tea. he kept a lot of provisions in his place for nights like these, and he enjoyed make sure people were looked after. “well, that was fun. i’d take it easy for a while, sweetheart.” bull cautioned with a shit-eating grin and a pat on the ass. the iron bull plopped back on the bed unceremoniously, close to the other, but still giving them ample space. “hope that did trick. seemed like you had a lot on your mind. not good to keep in all that pent up energy.”

finn always felt a little insecure around hans. maybe it was because of their history, maybe it was because the other just seemed so sure and confident. even then, part of him was happy to see the other. finn got a secret thrill knowing that he was one of the few people that hans tolerated, or at least finn hoped he did. he was glad to at least stay friends with him. “working late?” finn asked, catching him in his office on his way out, a grin on his face. “you know, most do actually stop to eat, grab a bite, maybe a drink. by the looks of ye, i’d wager you need one.”

bull just stared for a minute. he was pretty good at reading people, but nothing about the other gave the indication that he could make things float at will. his mind raced, trying to figure out exactly who the other was. “you didn’t really strike me as a wizard, i have to admit. usually i can spot the magic people miles away.” bull commented, still hypnotized by the floating object spinning about his friend’s hand. “so, you just been always able to do that? or are you one of those wizards that has to study shit to learn magic?” he asked, trying to paint a better picture of the other.

“another round on the chargers!” the iron bull roared, his voice booming, despite the crowded, noisy bar. his forehead was laced with sweat, his long hair pushed out of his face, looking even more feral than usual. not that he particularly cared in the moment. the band had done well, the crowd loved them, and he was having the time of his life. but even in the midsts of it all, he could feel a specific set of eyes on him. he caught two brown eyes catching his own, and met them with a toothy grin. “don’t tell me i smell that bad.” iron bull teased the other, sniffing his pits, happy to find his deodorant still holding up. “something in my teeth? is it the height? wait, it’s the muscles, isn’t it?” bull joked, flexing for effect. he took a second to look at the other, trying to get what information he could. something was certainly on his mind. he clapped him on the back affectionately. “lighten up sparkles, you look like you've seen a ghost.”

it was nothing personal, she just wanted her shit back. breaking in wasn’t even difficult. hacking the security system and picking a few locks was light work. what she didn’t expect was for an alarm to go off once she picked up the trinket from her hometown. she certainly didn’t expect to get caught afterwards. the officer was fast, faster than she thought a bulky man as himself would be. all she could do was talk her way out now, much to her dismay. “look, i know you have a job to do, i get it. but if it helps my case, this was originally mine.” she reasoned, her mind searching for anything else to say to help herself. “couldn’t you let a girl go, just once? i promise to be extra good from here on out, you’ll never have to deal with me again.” she lied effortlessly.

"Ye'll drop me eventually. Too much weight on my soul for the heavens lass." Ciaran chuckled a little and nudged her back as he followed her into the kitchen. He hesitated on the question for a moment, debating how honest to be before sighing. "Aye, I have. Found my home again I mean." Ciaran was actually nervous, telling his family about Finn feeling like a lot but he didn't like the anxiousness in his chest, grimacing slightly and looking away. "Just fine? But I'm glad you're doing alright at least. I like this place you have, it suits you." Ciaran smiled before rubbing the back of his neck. "Aye. Most of them at least. One in particular was a bit...more than that for me."

“well, good thing i’m stubborn and really feckin strong.” she laughed. she was both of those things, but her strength certainly had limits. still, for her brother, her arms would have to completely give out, and even then she’d try to find another way. her smile faltered a bit as she tried to process what he had told her, her mind taking a second catching up with her. “my place is grand, ciaran, but i’m far more interested in this person that suits you.” it was a joke that ran dry. she couldn’t keep the shock from her voice, but her mischievous grin returned to her face naturally, like she was getting in on a secret. “well don’t feckin stop there. you’re gonna have to give me more details than that, brother.”

Ciaran met his intense look, hoping the other could see that he was alright with it. Would even understand if his Angel decided he wanted to keep the devil he was in bed with a secret. He was truly just happy he was alive. Once Finn's hand was in his he clasped it, squeezing it lightly. "Just let me know Finn. I don't care, as long as I'm next to you." He couldn't help the grin that lifted his lips at the other's slip, stepping a little into his space. "I don't need a drink tonigh Finn Boyle. I'd much rather go home and touch ya, in all the ways you're thinkin of." He smirked a little, his other hand reaching up to gently pat the other's cheek, keeping the touches friendly as he let his hand fall back to his side. "That's good, cause you're not leavin my sight for at least three days. Now, the question is, my place or yours? If it's mine, I'll pre-warn it's not the most welcomin of apartments."

finn let out a small chuckle, his embarrassment melting away at ciaran’s reassurance. even the small touches they were now exchanging sent goosebumps through his skin, but they weren’t nearly enough. “three days? well, i’ll call in to let the boss know I’ve come down with a sudden illness.” finn joked, but he already think about what he would say to his boss to get the days off of work. nothing was more important than ciaran. “well, it’ll have to be yours. i live with my sister, another person we probably shouldn’t shock.” he laughed. “i don’t care about the state of your apartment, ciaran. right now, i only care about you. we’ll worry about your appalling lack of decor later.” he teased.

Elia smiled as he laughed, deciding it was another thing she liked about the man. She found she was very much looking forward to more time with him, and this moment wasn't even over. She gave him another grin at his statement, shrugging. "I feel it's a question either of us can ask the other, feel free to ask it of me in the future!" Elia laughed softly at the eyeroll before nodding. "I'll let you have that one if you insist. Don't want to take you to too many new places too quickly after all." She winked before thinking on his question, nodding. "I am not picky about the dates persay, but especially when just interacting and getting to know each other...I feel conversation and quality time is important. but, that doesn't necessarily mean dinner! I'm fairly flexible with anything. What about you? I can act like a lady when I need to, so if you're needing something more old fashioned from time to time I can attempt to oblige."

She muses, listening more than watching as his voice moves from above toward the back until she finally sees him fully, her feet carrying her toward the stage until she stops at the steps and smiles. "I assure you, monsieur, I have no ulterior motives." She says and glances around the area for a moment before taking the steps up toward the stage. “I suppose there won’t be another chance where I can do this.” Christine hums the notes and begins to sing.

erik almost stopped playing. her voice filled the rafters, and his realm of darkness and mystery seemed to illuminate. he finished the melody and for a moment, could find the words to say. “the notion that you do not sing is truly astounding given the beauty of your voice.” erik mused. “surely you must know how incredible you sound. and if you do not, you must sing here more often so i may convince you.”

"Father," Persephone greeted as she finished lighting a candle for the lost spirit, then she turned her attention to Solas, smiling at him. "I am," The brunette confirmed, standing up to move over to the next grave, this one more overgrown, less cared for, and one that had a spirit lingering around. Persephone tilted her head in greeting at the spirit, showing her respect before moving to sit in front of the gravestone. "The necromancy students don't seem to understand or grasp why I do what I do; it seems their respect only expands to the spirits but not the graves from which the spirits came." She sighed, picking at the weeds near the base of the old stone. "And I'm just performing my routine duties. And you? Are you here for something, or did you just wish to spend time with me?" She questioned her father, not minding either way, since it meant she could still spend time with him before he left to do what he came here to do. "Or perhaps it's both? You could also very well just be checking in on me without seeming overbearing."

solas still couldn’t get used to that, father. he never dreamed he’d be one. most days he knew he didn’t deserve it, but that didn’t stop him from loving her more than anything. he smiled softly at her, pleased that she had found something that gave her purpose. “it is a fine endeavor. sometimes graves are the only thing the dead have to let people know they ever existed. sometimes they are places of solitude for the grieving. regardless, its important to keep them in tact. i’m glad you have taken up that mantle.” solas’s heart swelled with pride. he must have done something right to raise someone so bright. “i may have.” he replied with a small grin before his expression softened into something more sombre. “i have been struggling. seeing you grow up into the incredible person that you are makes me proud, but…there are days i miss you being at home. it was only you and i for a long time, most days the house feels different without you in it.” he took a deep breath in quiet reflection. “do not worry yourself, i am excited for you to find your way, but know that i will always want to see you.”

“ugh, well why not? someone around here should have some standards.” the vampire raised an eyebrow at the cleric as she made her way to the bar, and he reluctantly followed. “wine? you’re going to get wine? from here?” astarion asked as if he were making sure he heard her right. “shadowheart, as a friend, i want to warn you that there’s a very high change of your drink tasting like grape juice mixed with nail polish remover. but if you’re feeling adventurous, i won’t stop you.” better her try it so i don’t have to.

Well he was right, it was definitely an inconvenience. But she had to at least try and offer something. She wasn't really sure why, perhaps the thought it might be the right thing to do, but she didn't much feel like doing that either. "Are you now offering to drive my car?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. That was definitely a new one. "I am capable of doing it... without crashing the car I mean".
