so the coffee shop will have to do when she feels the threat of insanity creeping its way toward her brain .

but why a coffee shop ? oh ... people feel safe in a coffee shop . they feel as though they can speak freely , can have clandestine meetings that no one would ever question because it's so common place to have meetings in a cafe , to discuss business over espresso and pastries and pretend that no one would dare listen to whatever it is you're whispering about . but ... it's still public . and most people are still louder than they seemed to think they were . especially those on phone calls .

there has never been any shortage of interesting conversations to eavesdrop on , mysteries to discover , trouble to stumble upon . though , hearing a harsh whisper declaring lack of fear in what she could only describe as a voice DRIPPING with anxiety had not been on her radar for the afternoon . she can't stop herself from leaning back , ears perked and focus on the woman's voice . with the hyde gone ... what else in jericho could be worth being afraid of .

wednesday waits ... waits until she hears the phone drop to the table before fishing a set of pens from her bag only to haphazardly toss them onto the floor with a flourish , taking care that at least one lands at the other's feet before letting out a feigned groan as she slid out from her seat to collapse to the floor to gather her pens , dark eyes quickly looking up at the woman she's so brazenly disturbed .
