Mortem’s power of mind control differs from Ossa’s because rather than having the side effect of immense fear, his troops are overwhelmed with extreme feelings of rage and grief. This causes them to basically go into a berserker rage and attack without hesitation or fear of pain or death, making them efficient killing machines. However, if overused, the over-stimulation will drive the subjected trolls into madness and they’ll destroy everything around them as well as themselves.
