I love lazy Saturdays. You can practice your new liquid eyeliner and see if the gloss you bought works with your skin tone😘. https://www.instagram.com/p/BoCRrqlFAPa/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fjkqtkwuncgb
Vive Les Frasers Indeed
While traveling through Scotland in 1945 with her husband, Claire is transported in time to the 18th century through magical stones. Costume designer Terry Dresbach out does herself with every episode. In season one I thought Claire's wedding dress was absolutely breathtaking gown (spoiler: she marries another man).

In season two Episode titled, Not in Scotland Anymore, Claire helps design her own dress for a party. If I found the wedding dress to be breathtaking then the 'red dress' stole my breath as well as my focus. This was a dress that commanded attention.
I can't wait to see what else Dresbach has up her sleeve for the duration of the series (pun intended).

Kelly Rowland is Launching a Makeup Line
Former Destiney’s Child member and X Factor judge Kelly Rowland is following in the footsteps of Iman and launching a makeup line for women of color. The talented singer is collaborating with her makeup artist Sheika Daley. No word on a launch date yet but the first thing to start will be lashes. I don’t know how to put on lashes and I’ve never tried but now I have a reason to.
Shoes Cher Horowitz would love!

Lipstick. The Answer to All of Life’s Problems
My favorite shade has always been plum. It’s the most flattering hue on my skintone. And I rock it year round with any outfit I darn well please. So far my brand of choice has been Maybelline’s Colorblur in plum please #35. Everywhere I go, I get complimented and it lets you standout in a way that doesn’t scream, “Look at me. You can see my lipstick from space!” It goes on as a creamy matte finish but can also tend to be a bit drying. So I ususally put on a dab of chapstick/vaseline or a lip primer before I apply. At the opposite end of the colorblur is a smudging stick to help “blur” or soften the color’s impact. I don’t use it at all. I prefer to wear the full impact of pigment on my lips. Maybelline Colorblur retails for $8.99 at Ulta and can be found everywhere makeup is sold.
Inside Every Sandy is a Rizzo
I remember watching Grease with my mom when I was young. The original, not the 2016 remake with Vanessa Hudgens. Which was still pretty good by the way but nothing compares to the original. My eyes always gravitated towards Rizzo. In reality I was Sandy of course. I was pretty innocent, hopeful, a regular live by the book good girl. But I was dying to be Rizzo. She had this IDGAF attitude and always lived in the moment. She wasn’t really a bad girl.
She was just carefree. Something that I’ve always struggled with is trying to live in the moment. I always wanted to be the kind of girl that didn’t let people or circumstances get in the way of what I wanted to do. I want to put myself out there and be brave and not worry what others will think of me if I do. There’s a time in life where you just have to say, “ I’m gonna get my kicks while I’m still young enough to get ‘em." Sometimes that can be a hard tightrope to balance on but if I can pull myself up by my pink ladies jacket, then I can do anything. So here’s to all the Sandys that are actually Rizzos dying to get out there in the world! There’s a Rizzo inside each and everyone one of us. So do her a solid and let her out.
Caitlyn Jenner was announced as the new face of MAC Cosmetics for their 2016 campaign. The 66 year old is the first transgender person to have a huge mainstream beauty contract. Her signature shade, "Finally Free" will be a limited edition and all of the proceeds will go to the MAC AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative. The partnership will launch April 7th, 2016.
Miss-Understood: If you grew up in the 90′s then you remember, Daria. And younger sister, Quinn Morgendorffer was the total opposite of our pessimistic hero. Here are a few of my favorite Quinn-isms that need to be shared and used daily.

My favorite flower of all time. There's something so beautiful and delicate about cherry blossoms.
I made it to 50 posts on my tumblr blog!
I'd rather wear these than a glass slipper any day.
Taking Over the World of Formal Wear One Dress at a Time
Wayne State alum, Melita Rakovic is meticulous when it comes to her designs and every stitch is personal. The siren seamstress took a moment to chat with me about what else, fashion? Enjoy!
Chicgeek323: How long have you been sewing?
Melita Rakovic: I have been sewing now for about 8 years.
CG323: What is your earliest memory of sewing?
MR: I would have to say when I was about 15, I bought my first sewing pattern and tried to sew a corset not knowing that is one of the more complicated pieces to assemble. Didn’t turn out the best but I still kept it as memory!
CG323: Do you find that you have more freedom in designing dresses and skirts than pants?
MR: I would say skirts because I think pants are more tailored. Plus I enjoy making dresses and formal wear in general!
CG323: Where do you see your brand in the next 5 years?
MR: I am hoping in 5 years my brand will be known worldwide. A girl can dream right?
CG323: You have a distinct eye when it comes to your designs. Where do you find inspiration?
MR: When designing, I get inspired with color, shape, and texture. My inspiration comes from other big designers such as Versace, Zuhair Murad or just anything that has a concentration on details.
CG323: What makes you stand out from other dress designers like Tadashi Shoji and Donna Ricco?
MR: Melita Rakovic Designs focus on being unique and standing out. My main focus on fit and design, combined with detail for elegance, result in a line that reflect the kind of woman I want everyone to feel while wearing my dress…elegant, glamorous, strong, sexy, and fearless.
CG323: Are there any plans to design pants, swimwear and other collections? Maybe menswear?
MR: Possibly menswear and children’s.
CG323: What advice would you give to a designer that is starting his or her own business and what have you learned for yourself?
MR: Write your goal on a piece paper and work daily towards that goal!
CG323: Are you on any other forms of social media and how can people contact you?
