  "Yeah, the military can be a bi— uh.. really annoying when you’re trying to just find somewhere to camp out for a while. To be honest, I’d be hanging out in the Red Zone too, if it weren’t for all the territorial Evolved already taking up the space… Uh… No offense or anything."

   "Hm. I'm sure you can find a place to stay there- you can stay with me if you want. It's near the Dead Zone, so not many soldiers are there- but that makes it the perfect place for other Evolved.. I'm sure if they won't attack you."   If you want get away in time.

  "That’s good." she said, her maternal side sighing in relief, "Um…what are you doing out here all by yourself?" she asked, trying not to seem too nosy. She just wanted to make sure the girl had somewhere to stay.

   "Huh? Oh--! I'm just taking a nap..I've been looking around for stuff too much today." Specifically biomass, but she wasn't going to tell a stranger that. Lips pursed, unsure of what to say next. "I was looking for.. acorns?"

    A sniff—     That scent.

  Evolved.

  Collins looked back, making sure the guys around the corner weren’t looking for him, and leaning down while taking his helmet off, he allowed biomass to create the blades over his forearms, giving a small smile.

        “Hey, you don’t gotta be scared, ‘kay?”

  A glance back.

        “I’m Evolved, too.”

   Wh-- 

      Well, she wasn't expecting this, then again she didn't expect a lot of things. There were a lot of Evolved, sure, but she knew most of them, or at least had been told. In silence, the smaller one nodded her head slightly, glancing behind him every so often. It was understandable that she was terrified of Blackwatch-- right?

   "You-- work for him?"

  Of course she meant Zeus, but you never know who might be around the corner.

   "--and if you close your eyes,         does it almost feel like nothing changes at all?"

[childishevolution]

    "Not liiiiiistening."

    Though he’s not really trying to, Collins notices the child from the corner of his eye, head turning immediately towards her and then back to the convoy who seem to be taking a break.

  Slowly and carefully, he puts his gun down and approaches her, holding his hands up.

        “Hey, kiddo—           What are you doin’ in the RZ…?”

   The child jumped in surprise, having hoped she could get away in time. Clutching the stuffed animal filled with biomass in her arms, she turned back towards the man.

   I live here is what she wanted to say, but she could risk getting shot up.

     Not again.

    "Uh--        I.. I got lost?"

  "Now don’t run. Alright?" Pan said, a stern tone in her voice. The evolved gently sat her back down on the ground, hoping that this would add to her statement that she wouldn’t hurt her.

   Soft scarlet hues looked up at the older Evovled, not running as she was told. At least she could get a good look at the other now, studying her features. Katie had never seen this one before-- was she with him, or..?
