The full release of the game is now out! 

As detailed in our release update, a save file is available to skip over the content covered in the demo to avoid repetition for those who played it, and a brief guide to the ending branches has been included to clarify how progression works.

This will be the last post for this blog given its semi-annihilated status; but we would greatly appreciate any feedback, questions or comments through itch.io, curiouscat or Twitter. Thank you to everyone who played the demo since last November - I hope the game lives up to your expectations.

The opening video used for the game is now up - we’ve also published a roundup of our May updates on our itch.io devlog, including some additional focus on some of the recurring themes used in the soundtrack.

The game’s release is now aimed for June 27.

Six or so months later, it looks like the blog was finally marked as NSFW; when failing to post the most recent update.

While the material that may still make it through will be put up here, it might be easier to check our Twitter for updates like the recent CG previews and parts of the pseudo-animated flipbook sequences used in the opening which were unable to be posted here. 

In addition, with the restrictions on viewing this blog, curiouscat can be used as an alternate way to send asks.

Okay, these results were much more clear-cut than the first poll: we're definitely going with the black hair now. Thanks to everyone who gave input.

So, the poll ended up coming to a draw between black and silver - meaning we still have to decide which one of the last two hair colours to go with. With that in mind; here's what both options would look like, along with a bit more of a look as to how the rest of the outfit will be affected by the alternate palette, not just the hair. 

The final vote is up here - if this one comes out to a draw too, we’ll just give up and flip a coin.

Here’s another look at some of the alt colours / palettes the characters will appear in at various parts of the game, with some further additions like Iustirho’s various accessories and Viqevi’s scarf. 

Orris will be one of the few characters to change hair colour with one of his alternate palettes; since his default colour is dyed anyway. We’ve narrowed down the colour that will be used to a handful of options - if there’s a particular one you want to see used, you can vote for it on our Twitter.

Aztargal's mask was actually drafted as a rudimentary 3D model before the character art was put together (final art by @shaedry). The original model will be used for parts of the opening video, but in pretty close shots to hide its rough spots.

The full soundtrack is now available!

The game's music ended up coming together a fair bit quicker than expected - the second part of the soundtrack is now complete and available to download here.

With the first part of the soundtrack​ already released in November, all of the music for the game is now out, coming to 44 tracks overall.  Along with expansions of the orchestral and ambient styles of pieces present in the demo, the second part diverges a bit in terms of style and instrumentation (as well as a hopefully noticeable uptick in sample quality), which ideally will provide a decent amount of variety while remaining cohesive; along with the way recurring themes are handled.

As before, leading up to the game’s release; we’ll also highlight some specific tracks to talk about how they’re going to be used, or their general relationship to the rest of the game.

Both parts of the soundtrack are free to download, so we hope you'll have a look.

Here’s a completely non-sexual work-in-progress shot from one of the game’s very last CGs, being worked on at the moment.

While we can't give you the full context right now, you can rest assured in the knowledge that moderately exotic dicks are involved - and later in this scene, potentially significantly more of them than just these two...

Also, if you missed it earlier this month, we were also able to share final art of a Viqevi CG on Twitter - we’ll hope to be able to show full CG previews with increasing regularity as the release gets closer. 

We’ll also be doing another vote to determine an element used in the final game soon...

I'm sure it's been asked before or somewhere else (I mainly use Twitter). But, will we have scenes (sex or not) of some of the people other than Lustirho? Or like is he the main focus of it all. Also will we get scenes of him with some of the other people we've seen? I'm so ready for May lol. I've been looking forward to this since I discovered it last year. Wish ya the best on the development and such.

Thanks so much - it has been touched on before, but to confirm; all of the main male characters will have CGs, however Iustirho will be the only one who has scenes with chimeras.

In terms of just getting focus, while he is still the main character, he won't be the centre of everything either, as other characters will be playable in the epilogues and have scenes that don't involve him at all.

As a reminder, for anyone else sending in feedback on what they’d like to see in the next round of bonus / guest artwork; suggestions should be sent before the end of February. Messages or asks are both fine, and your feedback will not have to be published publicly.

Final Character Introductions

Although most of the main cast were revealed prior to the demo’s release, several characters still hadn’t had their profiles posted - beginning as more supporting roles, these three became more prominent as the game was being written.

As can be seen by their similar uniforms; Toghda and Thusythe are affiliated with Yaldukra as part of the same company - and of course, both of them will also have CGs; that won’t be limited to Yaldukra.

Also, we’re now taking suggestions for the second round of guest artwork, to be posted around the full game’s release - on our Twitter, we recently were able to share a messy variation of Gigan’s amazing group piece that was commissioned for the demo, alongside the stunning earlier artwork contributed by wolfconf and kaito-draws.

Feel free to send an ask or message here or on our curiouscat if there are any particular artists you’d like to see us work with, or any specific characters / pairings, costumes, poses / positions or other elements you'd want to see in the next set of guest artwork. The suggestions won’t be published if you’d prefer not to make them public; but any feedback will be helpful in steering the direction of our approach.

Due to the lead time required for getting everything ready on time, we likely won't be able to act on suggestions sent after the end of February.

It’s time for yet another unquestionably SFW image preview - just before the year ends, the full artwork for the final demo CG has now been posted to our Twitter. 

With the game’s release still planned for May 2019, we’ll aim to share some more entirely new artwork soon. 

A recent question asked on our curiouscat also spurred the creation of a questionably definitive top/bottom preference chart - including two more characters that are yet to be fully revealed. You can expect to hear more about them soon...

Here's the first post-demo preview of what you can expect from the full game's soundtrack, with part of the theme of the First Chimera (The Library at Meleuma, whose art was posted earlier). 

Compared to the earlier stuff used in the demo, you should notice an improvement in sample quality - some of the samples used here didn't even exist when the music from the demo was written almost three years ago...

If someone did NSFW fanart of your characters, would drawing them with other people's characters be fine? Just curious.

It's not our place to say what you can or can't do in fanart you're choosing to put your own time and effort into - it's just really flattering to hear the characters have had enough appeal to you that you're considering it.

So are Iustirho and Viqevi boyfriends or just fuckbuddies?

The latter.

Viqevi doesn't have any illusions about it being more than a casual thing, but what does take him by surprise is Iustirho not hesitating to try and kill him the moment he might pose the smallest risk - while he didn't think he had much in the way of feelings for him, he did assume a level of basic humanity that just wasn't there.

Iustirho does have a serious partner in Liesefranche, but their relationship is open.
