HELP A MEXICAN FAMILY SURVIVE ANOTHER MONTH!

Hola, I'm Calli, a mexican trans nonbinary parent, both me and my partner are chronically ill, suffer from chronic pain and have to navigate life with our disabilities almost without any aids, just recently we were able to get him a cane. This has left us unemployed, you can imagine without any special talents or degrees it's been impossible to find stable jobs.

We also take care of my in-laws, who are elderly, chronically ill and disabled.

I'm ashamed to admit that mutual aid has been our main source of income with our declining health. This has made us target for harassment and fucked our opportunities of keeping our family fed.

Right now our biggest priority is help our son get testosterone every week until his next appointment on July.

A friend has offered to help us raise funds to keep us afloat if you're interested in art commissions.

Gaza many people convinced themselves no longer needed attention because they thought the war was over. But here, the destruction never stopped. The entire Gaza Strip has been shattered by genocide, ethnic cleansing, hunger, fear, and endless loss. With the ongoing siege and the prevention of medicine, food, and clean drinking water from entering, we are suffering terribly. My sister is suffering from severe anemia and dangerous malnutrition, and her body has become too weak to endure any more. she is still fighting to survive without the medicine and nutritional treatment she desperately needs to stay alive.

This week, May 4-8, is national week of action for MMIW. Here’s a few facts:

1: Homicide is roughly the third leading cause of death among Indigenous women ages 10-24.

2: 56.1% of indigenous women have experienced sexual violence, 55.5% have experienced physical violence by an intimate partner, and 48.8% have experienced stalking.

3: The Federal Bureau of Investigation reported that there were 10,248 missing Indigenous persons reports in 2024. 5,614 were women, and 4,626 were men. Most women reported missing were under the age of 18.

4: The 10 states with the highest rates of American Indian/Alaska Native missing persons cases in 2025 were AK, AZ, OK, WA, NM, CA, MT, NC, SD, and TX.

5: Because of limited data, there is no reliable nationwide count of how many Native women go missing or are murdered each year.

Indigenous women are murdered at 10x the national average in the United States alone.
