The clover’s refusal at saying her name put Asriel on edge. That, along with her now-forced smile, and attempt at sounding calm made him feel extremely nervous. Why are they doing that, he wondered, are they trying to make me nervous? “Ye… Yeah,” the Prince answered, after a moment of hesitation.
“Great! Let’s go there now! I’m aching to get some yum yums.” The smile on Chloe’s face stretched a bit more. She noticed the speech pattern of the Boss Monster. She hoped she wasn’t scaring him too much with how she’s acting. Though, she couldn’t help fearing that the weed could be skulking around—possibly hidden in the ground beneath them.
She resisted the urge to shake her head and to look around again. She didn’t want to make Asriel feel even more nervous if he was. Her petals, however, twitched once again without her noticing.
The Boss Monster gave a subtle, embarrassed wince, as he realized that he had, nearly, forgotten the clover’s name. How could he let himself get this nervous? He was the Prince, he shouldn’t be- The Prince eyed the clover’s petals. Their twitching made him feel uncomfortable, but, maybe, it was her way of calming herself? He wasn’t sure, but he wasn’t going to bring attention to it. “S… Sure,” Asriel said, after a moment. “Th… There’s actually a… a couple places around here we could go.”
"Like where?“ she asked, curiosity partly taking over her fear. Her stem craved to have some cotton candy or anything that would satisfy her sweet tooth. She hoped that they’d get going soon so they can leave this uneasy atmosphere.
Her petals didn't twitch this time. Despite her nervousness, she toned down her smile. Maybe she would look less suspicious is she didn't stretch her face too much.
