The Final Itinerary Is Here!
THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION—PLEASE DO NOT “TL;DR”!
Hello (again) everyone!
Chloé and I are being hounded for an updated and accurate itinerary for "the big day,” so here it goes:
- 2:00 p.m.: Doors open at Emmanuel St. Chad (GSA Commons) for the ceremony. (NOT the Emmanuel and St. Chad College, which is at a totally different place. This should be the right address: https://www.google.ca/…/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x6b8ba… .) Make sure to grab lunch before the ceremony, as there won't be food provided until 6:30 p.m.) - 2:30 p.m.: Ceremony begins (with snacks and drinks). There is only seating for 70 and we have almost twice as many guest, so if you are (relatively) young and able-bodied, please leave the seats for the families and older guests (Chloé's and my friends should be prepared to stand). The ceremony will be super brief, though, so you won't be standing for long. - 3:00 p.m. (at the latest): Ceremony ends. Everyone can hang out for a while to chat, listen to '60s tunes, congratulate us, and take pictures. - 3:30 p.m. LEAVE THE BUILDING! We have to clean up and reorganize the space, so we need everyone out. This would be a good time to enjoy the (hopefully great) weather and explore the beautiful U of S campus. You also have plenty of time for a trip back to your hotel/home for anything you need for the reception. - 5:30 p.m.: Doors open and cocktail hour begins at Louis Pub in the basement of the Memorial building (This should take you there:https://www.google.ca/…/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x18c027b4d722c… .) - 6:30 p.m.: Dinner begins. It will be a pizza buffet with both vegetarian and gluten-free options. - 7:30 p.m.: Speeches and digestion and stuff. - 8:00 p.m.: First dances and the first phase of the dance party for everyone. - 9:30 p.m.: FOOD AGAIN! This time we'll have a POUTINE BAR buffet, just to make sure that you have enough food to keep drinking lots of party liquid (i.e., alcohol)! While the poutine bar is happening and people are re-gorging, we will have an open mic for friends and family to tell embarrassing stories about Chloé and I, etc. - 10:30 p.m.: The dance party enters PHASE 2.0! Things will begin with another round of slower tunes while our collective stomachs settle, then we'll head into full-on dance mode. - 12:00 p.m.: "...Is there a Phase 3.0?" “YOU KNOW IT!” This will not be for the faint of heart (or completely sober). Things are going to get crazy and loud for the final hour, so please stick it out until the end! -1:00 p.m.: Last call, folk. Lights turn on, music turns down, and everyone who is still standing with be commissioned to help with clean up. And the help will be very much appreciated!
We hope everyone is excited as we are! See you all on Saturday, and cross your fingers for a sunny day!
Much love, Aaron and Chloé
