🌸 if jace had to watch one more re-run of house hunters he was going to lose it. he adored his parents, but he could only tolerate “bonding” with them for only a few hours. so he decided to text the team offering to do a coffee run. he was the assistant after all. and that’s mainly what assistants did, right? it was his first official week with mystery inc so he wasn’t really sure what to expect. once he entered the coffee shop, he sat at a table alone and waited for the orders to come in. he got one “surprise me” text which made him groan. when it came to coffee, he never stepped out of his comfort zone so without thinking twice he grabbed the person closest to him. “so like.. if you had to pick anything off of this menu what you pick? i have to do a coffee run and uh, i honestly just drink my coffee black so m’not really sure what to do. it’s sort of a big deal. but no pressure.” he teased slightly.

Chloe turns her head as someone steps into her personal face, blinking in curiosity and mild confusion. She quickly pulls her earbuds out as his mouth starts moving, and she manages to catch most of what he’d said. “Coffee recommendations? You might be barkin’ up the wrong tree, buddy, I just take mine with a bit of cream.” She pulls her phone out of her pocket to turn her music off, absently noting she has a few messages to check, and then tucks it and her headphones away. “But maybe try one of the seasonal drinks? Those are always popular. People love limited editions.”

⋆ ◦ ° katherine mcnamara + female + she/her — jinkies ! is that chloe foley? they are a twenty two year old known as the spitfire, and they currently work at mystery inc as a detective. they are resourceful + quick thinking, as well as impulsive + hot tempered. steel toed boots, the pop of bubblegum, worn out punching bags. 《 destinee. twenty two. she/her. est. 》

chloe’s father is a successful businessman, descended from a long line of successful businessmen. known for being cold, calculating, and cutthroat, he is a stern perfectionist with a need for status and power. but he does have a soft spot - his wife. chloe’s mother was a psychic for fire when the pair met in the lobby of an arizona hotel. her mother was gentle and open minded and more than a bit flighty and impulsive - everything that her father wasn’t. but that didn’t stop them from eloping and living happily and oddly ever after. 

chloe was born and raised in arizona, and moved to coolsville at nineteen. she’s the third born of five children. 

chloe has had a fascination for the mysterious and the supernatural since she was very young, encouraged by her mother. she was something of an amateur paranormal investigator before joining mystery inc, and is a dutiful believer in all things strange and unusual. she does acknowledge, though, that most cases are going to inevitably have more mundane reasonings behind them. 

chloe has taken several self-defense classes, and maintains a strong interest in boxing. she’s very active and dedicated to maintaining her strength and stamina, and you can often find her in the gym or going for long jogs. she likes being able to be the muscle when situations call for it. 

chloe tends to say it like it is. she’s not really the sort of person to go to if you want to be consoled with pretty lies, because she never has any problem telling someone when they’re being unreasonable or a bit of a jackass. 

all around she’s pretty friendly, if you don’t mind her bluntness or her tendency to impulsively hurl herself head first into trouble. the girl is too fearless and too curious for her own good, and she doesn’t give much thought to little things like “laws” and “personal safety.” 

chloe’s not much of a cook, she tends to live off restaurants and take out food and coffee. but she can bake some really good cookies. chocolate chip are her favorite, and she probably brings them in for co-workers a lot. she also always has gum in her pocket.
