it’s halloween on the island of saint rose, and the gyroids (and professor) are feeling spooky 👻

a breakthrough discovery has been made:

gyroids gather in communities that we will call “neighborhoods”.

small homes (that appear to be a usual toy day gift) are tastefully appointed with coordinating flowers in the surrounding lawns. it is unknown whether the artful landscaping is the norm for gyroids or perhaps this neighborhood has an HOA.

of note:

the gyroid emits a soft oinking sound and occasionally scrunches its face while doing so.

the subject also sits among flowers and glowing weeds. perhaps she appreciates beauty?

some mysteries on saint rose still persist:

why do the gyroids hold tea parties?

are they exclusive? why aren’t all of the small creatures there?

where do they bake or procure the treats and tea consumed?

an islander-turned-researcher has begun her study into the habitats, behavior, and lives of these fascinating….insects? amphibians? animated vases? i suppose that’s for our researcher to find out.
