hello world :> i'm Valera and i've been in this world for around 5 years i really love the world and all the people in it, and want to try being less hesitant to reach out into it in different ways i'm not used to using social media, but posting whatever things seems fun, so i wanted to try it

i have a lot of interests, because life is a very interesting thing for me in general. I love marine biology and actually hope to work in that field. I'm also really fond of insects and just all the creepy crawlies. Also i have a fascination with chemical protection PPE, especially in regards to my another fascination with infectious diseases. I like computers and know a little bit of C#, though i'd like to expand my knowledge in that field much farther. I also similarly like music theory despite hardly understanding it my main creative interest is worldbuilding, but i also draw and make music. I really wish to one day create videogames, my biggest goal in terms of that is to make an ecosystem simulator. I might at some point start posting something similar to a devlog (but for a much simpler project)

my more fiction related interests are Pokemon Uranium (yes, specifically Uranium, i prefer it to the canon), Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight Silksong, the Lord of The Ring (also i've read a bit of the Silmarillion, but still haven't finished it), and much more i can't remember (memory issues :[ ) my favorite musicians are SOOOO, Christopher Larkin, Ferry, Kikuo, The Mechanisms, Femtanyl, Lauren Bousfield and just random shit i find on youtube

i feel that Lace's resentment of her artificial creation and life, which she calls a "weak, wasting existence" can be interpreted as a nihilistic delusion or a metaphor for such. I mean, she IS not a typical bug, that is objectively true, but the negative way in which she sees herself, specifically as something empty and crude and lacking, despite not inherently being such, seems like a very strong parallel in my opinion. And it's definitely not just self esteem issues, Lace clearly demonstrates a fixed belief in her inherent inferiority and emptiness compared to "truly" living bugs. Maybe i'm reading into this wrong or projecting too much, but it really looks like that to me

really dislike bluetooth when it comes to computers. They're already boxes of wires, what's the point of having less wires outside?

today's, and most definitely tomorrow's enrichment is audio issues that don't go away on reboot. Hoping it's not my headphone wire or something else physical. I grade those 5/10

Computer REALLY does not do any weird things these days, no broken apt configuration, no desktop crashes, no nothing. Is it tired? Is it too depressed for that right now? Or perhaps it's finally free from the illness it had when running windows... oh my poor Computer, so many years spent in agony, no wonder it was hallucinating shit like crazy and almost died once, i'd do that too if i had windows in my brain

she is the only character i can say i deeply relate to. She was the first time i've seen my personal situation somewhat depicted in media, and it being done in such a heartfelt manner actually affected my life quite a lot... i am so thankful to Team Cherry for making her. "A fragile form of life, but life nonetheless" is something i think about very very often

the Computer doesn't seem to have any weird problems today. I assume it is tired of providing me with enrichment and just wants to chill it's like laying down for a nap with a cat that's usually climbing walls and screaming its lungs out

once again straying away from Uranium posting because i wanna say something about computers...

whenever i boot up my extremely mentally ill bundle of wires and joy i feel like an animal in a zoo being given enrichment. Every day there's some new fucked up problem going on, and every day i diligently open the console and the browser to figure out what to do with it. And it's amazing. Because ever since switching to Linux i can ACTUALLY FIGURE OUT WTF IS WRONG WITH MY COMPUTER AND HOW TO FIX IT??? On windows it just. Died. And there was basically nothing i, as a fairly inexperienced user, could actually gather in terms of information. Even with some additional software and shit. But now on Linux i can EASILY see detailed crash reports and googling all the errors actually gives comprehensive results! And i can do shit without my OS going "nuh-uh"!! This stuff is genuinely so much fun!!! I've never ever had this much fun fixing my pc. And i HAVE had fun before, on windows! But the fun i have now is just. It's like comparing sugar to cocaine. I am on cocaine now. Linux is cocaine. For me. And i think for everyone else who uses it. I know i am insane because i already told about this shit to everyone i know and and now i'm posting this on a god damn URANIUM FAN BLOG but. Such is cocaine i guess
