i'm quite curious... in the duration of time you've shared with gorgonna, before her death, did you two have any plans for the future? like... running away, eloping, starting a family, children? or did you never have the chance to...
... Due to the circumstances, we didn't have the chance to discuss about these plans.
I want to be with her, and perhaps even start a family with her, but I don't want to abandon my people.
... Now that she's back, it feels easier to hold out hope for the day not just both of us, but we all too, can live in peace...
JUMPSCARE!!!!!
!!
*Perseus instinctively raises his shield towards the sudden entrance from this mysterious being as they lunge towards him.*
*Though, after a brief amount of time, the General realizes this one’s behavior seems completely different from the humans he saw having turned into mindless monsters.*
…
*Still, he waits for what else may happen next. Despite having received Elysia’s blessing, who knows what this one may really be capable of?*
My my, you're a pretty tough one yourself!! Well at least you're not pointing your spear out of my way!!
I'm just here to find and have some fun!! You happen to know any fun games to play at the moment?
I'd jump on tombstones by now but I can't seem to find any graveyards around here!! So I'm sneaking around here finding someone to play with!!
(mumbles quietly to himself) and also try to find my way out of here...
BUT ANYWAYS!! What game shall we play? It's up to you, I'm down with any!!
...?
*Perseus finds this one before him to be unlike anyone he has ever seen before. He looks peculiar, but he isn't like the cursed Halians either, and can strike up conversations like normal. Should he ask Lady Merlin later...?*
I don't think we have any games to play here, with the disasters going on...
*He has a feeling Igor is from other timelines, similar to how he met certain others here. How the guy got here though is a great question. Something the General definitely is no expert at.*
But wait... You said you're looking for tombstones to jump on...?
*Yeah. Definitely peculiar.*
YES TOMBSTONES!! I'd kill to find a graveyard right now if you know where to find o-

(igor suddenly stopped for a bit. he slowly started to process the words that perseus just said.)
D-Disasters?? What do you mean disasters?? Is there something going on?? Is it really bad?? Is there people getting hurt??
(the silly whimsical personality igor had carried was overtaken with deep concern and fear.)
*Perseus goes quiet the moment Igor does, initial confusion replaced by thoughtfulness. His silence lingers a while further after hearing all the questions, noticing the evident concern from the creature.*
*This one sounds a little like a child... How should he word this...*
... Yes, it has been happening for quite a while...
And a lot of people are getting hurt...
But I'm sure there will be a way to fix this, so don't worry.
We should help you find your way back... I'll ask the Arcane Council.
*Trying to give Igor a bit of a smile too, as an attempt to reassure him...?*
... ...
(technically you can't see his face, let alone his eyes, but just imagine igor having those sparkly sad but hopeful eyes after being reassured by perseus.)
Okay.
(takes a short breathe in) Okay.
I'm assuming you're the big guy in charge here, so I'll trust your words.. Yeah, I trust you!! Let's go to the.. the uh... THE PLACE YOU JUST MENTIONED!!
but I have one question...
Is there anything I could do to help your situation?
Y- YOU DON'T HAVE TO FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO SAY "YES"!! IT'S JUST A QUESTION!!
(he's still kindaaa scared about what will happen, but he'll accept any answers as long as when he gets back nothing bad happens.)
I appreciate your concern, but there's no need to trouble yourself... I'm the General, after all.
Oh, but... just Perseus is alright.
*Perseus then gestures for Igor to follow him, hoping there is a way to get him back. He doesn't belong in this timeline, and he could even scare people here off if they're not used to his appearance.*
...
You're kind, despite how you look. I hope you won't ever lose your enthusiasm, that can really bring comfort to someone.

Hello hello! A friend of mine told me that your men are injured and could use my help! I'd love to create gadgets and prosthetics that could aid you in battle.
~ @genius-inventor-damian
Huh? A friend of yours told you about...
Oh, you're Damian, the friend who makes magical vine arms...
*The kid—now that Perseus recognizes him— reminds him of Abundius, to a degree. Both are bright, and have huge potential for their age.*
Your help would be much appreciated... Thank you.
no offense but u need better friends
...
Maybe.
But in the middle of crisis, there's not much you can ask for.
What I still have right now... is enough.
«…what a lovely friend you have, that Lygos. Having no issues to bring my chil- my emissary to die by the hands of a blood hungry mob. My, you must be desperate enough to tolerate the company of such parasite. » Kalix
... You again.
You don't know anything about me or what happened between me and Lygos.
There's no excuse for what he's done to your emissary, but it stems from his hatred towards the Wildborn.
That did not interfere with my decision to let her into Halia in the first place, or make sure she could live.

why are you still friends with Lygos? isn't he kind of a jerk?
... He saved my life once. Show some respect.
How he treated the Arcane Council and the Wildborn girl was no excuse, if that's what you're referring to, but...
...
Even though the war and the disasters that hit Halia have changed things, he's still my friend.
* you may be fierce in a battlefield but you have such a cute face-

*Still, he waits for what else may happen next. Despite having received Elysia’s blessing, who knows what this one may really be capable of?*
The entity who Perseus has come to see the humanity within the corruption, nods in approval with hope in her eyes. Hope for his survival and triumph. Her bleeding form soon falling, unveiling the woman she once was- or daresay- still is underneath the monstrosity.
"I, Elysia. Goddess of Vitality, bid you adieu and wish you all the best. No matter what comes your way, I trust you'll prevail."
With that, she dissipates in a dark pile of bloody muck. Traces of her presence disappearing before him. If Perseus had any lingering doubts about this encounter, he can feel his divine spear thrumming with a vibrant life. Power radiating like no other.
*When Elysia’s form unveils, Perseus is visibly in awe. Goddess of Vitality…? What he could feel from the magic she blessed his spear with now makes a lot of sense.*
…
*Then as she bids him adieu and disappears, he lingers for a while, divine spear with revitalizing magic in hand, almost like a heartbeat…*
… *The General simply smiles.*
*Without a doubt, he’s been granted a chance that the him from at least her timeline—Or even from timelines that aren’t this—couldn’t have…*
*And he quietly promises not to waste it.*
With his spear extended to her, the entity would then prick the palm of her hand. Drawing blood that trickled all over the blade of his spear. Dousing it entirely with the crimson liquid until it seeps into his weapon. To the unknowing, this may look like an unholy ritual.
But Perseus could feel it. The divinity running through the streams of blood, the fluid itself vibrant and healthy. Thrumming with unimaginable power of both sanctification and utter desecration.
"By the might within me, I bestow upon you the power to prevail through the trials of fate."
*Perseus, despite not being attuned to magic, can feel the potent magical array coursing through the stream of blood that's trickling—then coating— all over and within the blade of his spear. He's almost in awe, but he makes sure not to move an inch.*
*The General vividly remembers when Sarethiel blessed him with these divine weapons, granting him strength so he could keep protecting his people... They were referred to as his followers.*
*This time... The second time he's blessed... feels different.*
To prevail through the trials of fate... *He mumbles to himself, looking thoughtful...*
*... before giving her a silent bow of gratitude.*
"Yes, you perished in battle and in our timelines.. it only served to worsen the conflict."
The entity sighs before pursing her lips and looking at him with determination and a bit glimmer of hope, "Fate can be unpredictable. Even if you have warnings in advance, would it all actually make a significant change?"
She then reaches a hand out to the tip of Perseus's spear blade, "If you allow me, I would like to grant you my blessings. To give you a fighting edge against seemingly indomitable odds. You might even stand a chance against the gods and their minions."
*If Lady Merlin were here, she most likely would've suggested he accept this... No, even before this, she's already been trying to give him advice many times. He's even been told just as many times that the god he reveres has fallen and now only cares to destroy.*
...
If this means I can keep standing watch to see the day Halia wakes up again...
*If this means he wouldn't perish in battle, and so these people wouldn't be stricken by grief... Especially Gorgonna...*
*Without saying another word, Perseus holds out the blade of his spear towards her.*
"That is a honorable trait you possess," She pauses, "And yet so frustrating.." She mutters under her breath whilst averting her gaze, though it didn't really hold any true venom to his character before she scoffs.
"The fates must find it laughable that I thought I could possibly change the course of things with a few 'words of wisdom' from the future, let alone from a different timeline. Lest one is ready to face drastic changes and consequences." The creature runs a clawed hand through her hair as she sighs. "Your death felt.. so avoidable."
The entity looks down at herself, her entire being and perhaps even at what she's become, "All this power.. all the sacrifices I've made to become what I am. A commander, a mage, something beyond the gods themselves.. and yet still powerless to prevent such tragedy among many others. " She then directs her gaze towards him, eyeing him with a storm of emotions, "..You are Saretheil's Chosen Champion. He gave you your spear, the shield.. you use them to protect Halia. Yet in the face of disaster at his hands, they feel more like they were keeping him and his wretched insects unscathed once his people would eventually turn against him. Including you, once the truth settles."
Timeline…?
*Did those two not allude to the same thing, too…?*
*It’s clearer to Perseus now the more the entity reveals things to him. Something has happened to him in their timelines, hence them coming to him with their own ways to warn him here.*
*And his encounter with Gala was a confirmation.*
Are you saying… I’ve already died in your timeline?
*The General is always willing to exchange anything of him—even his life—for a better Halia… for a better place. It is beyond the shadow of a doubt.*
*However, the idea of him actually being gone, and how it’s affected the people that came to give him warnings. Not just them, but Abundius, Master Bakis, his comrades— the rest of the Halians, too…*
The entity narrows her gaze at him. Tilting its head as she eyes his spear before slowly stalking towards Perseus.
"I simply came here to warn you in advance.. keep your guard up and wits about, trust the Arcane Council in helping Halia- listen to them- and keep in good relations with Gala if you know what's good for you. Saretheil is still on the loose, he'll only bring more disaster and suffering when he returns. Don't listen to any word he utters, no matter how promising it sounds."
She approaches all the way until the point of his spear is in near intimate proximity of the gaping star wound on her chest as she leans forward,
"I can smell your beloved Gorgonna's all-genuine presence in the vicinity. Heed her words right, for it means the real Hunting Goddess is awake and there for the Wildborn. She won't take kindly to the Halians waging war on her people, none will be spared from her bloodthirst and cruelty, including you."
Her long claws began grazing the blade of his spear. The tiny scritch trailing to its base, "It will be a tragedy far more devastating than anything your mind can comprehend. It'd be a shame if more lives and your's were sacrificed needlessly. Didn't you want to avoid as much conflict to prevent more lives lost? Isn't that why you became a General in the first place?"
Her eyes began to soften in melancholy, as if this extended beyond mere sympathy. No, in those bloodshot eyes of her's, he could sense the familiarity within. As if she herself personally knew what it's like to be in his position, to go through all this.
*Perseus stays still as the creature speaks. It sounds like a warning, and an advice, for him to listen to the Arcane Council and the Wildborn girl… But to tell him not to listen to Sarethiel? He almost retorts, but stops the moment she willingly comes close—her vital point no less—directly to the tip of his spear.*
…
*The General lowers his spear as she finishes, being able to tell that this entity, while looking horrific… is human.*
You know I’m not the kind of man who abandons people and their lives. But you also mentioned my own…
*He keeps in mind the way she talks about Gorgonna and the real Hunting Goddess. “All-genuine”…? Perhaps he should ask her the next time they meet.*
*Not only this one, but Bellarose, and the gentle breeze… They all look at him and speak to him the same way. The same sorrow, the same melancholy. Why is that…?*
Wha...?
Perseus?! How are you... alive?
( @emissary-gala )
Huh?…
*For a moment, he stops at the spot.*
*Alive?*
*However, his confusion doesn’t stay for long as he registers who’s speaking to him.*
… Wait…
You’re the little Wildborn girl who was with the Arcane Council.
( Perseus... he's alive...?
But... he died! During that brutal war... how could this be possible? )
( Did Azora's plan to revive him work, then? And so, because of that... he'd come back? )
( ...No. I should keep my wits about me. He may not know much from being revived. Morgan told me as much.
I should question him. )
...Yes. I am. Master is not with me right now, and... I happened to stop by during one of my inspections of the wheat's progress.
...How... are you?
( He doesn't look pleased to see me. If I remember correctly, that was how he was when...
When Halia suffered the flood... )
The wheat’s progress…? You know we can’t grow any crops in Halia.
*When asked how he is doing, his frown only deepens, albeit only slightly. The person that this Wildborn girl claims to be her master had the gall to impersonate the Hunting Goddess— Even contributed to causing the flood. And now here she is, all by herself.*
…
*He’s let out enough frustration back then. And despite what happened, Gala here is still a young girl, and so…*
*He shakes his head.* There’s no need to concern yourself. Especially over me.
You... still can't grow crops?
But... the truce! The deal! It was all set in stone after the—
( No. Wait. This isn't right. The truce was made after the war. After he... died.
Something really is not adding up... )
( I must get to the bottom of this. )
...Nevermind. I... suppose I must be misremembering things.
Perseus... is it still flooding in Halia?
( If he answers how I think he'll answer, then... I may know what to do next. )
…?
*Out of all the strange encounters Perseus has come across… This, with Gala, is likely the strangest yet. First, she was shocked, asking how he’s alive, and now she talks about a truce…?*
*Still, he, too, brushes it aside after her saying she must be misremembering things.*
…
Yes.
