18+ RAMBLE ABOUT THE HUNGER GAMES SERIES

(A musing upon the psychosexual effects of the games/victor trafficking upon the Capitol class, from the pov of someone who thinks about things, maybe too much.)

The known facts:

1. Reoccurent exposure to violence, gore, and things of that nature ARE proven to elevate the presence of sexual violence amongst a group of people.

2. The games are an annual display of violence and gore.

3. Victors ARE somewhat sexualized at times via their costume designs, interview questions, the fact that they have to appeal to sponsors, etc.

4. Some victors in thg ARE canonically trafficked for many years to come, post games, even if they are not of age. (Look into Finnick Odair if u do not remember The Horrors)

All this to say,

The kink communities, sexual violence rates, and general sexual preferences of the Capitol class are most certainly fucking absurd. I'm sorry. The psychology leans towards an implication that is bone chilling.

This is what makes me laugh when people think AI is going to take over the world. The "crazy knowledgeable AI" that we have nowadays is like that because of insanely expensive hardware, not because of some breakthrough concept in programming that wasn't feasible a decade ago. These models burn through so much money, or so much time. One or the other but rarely ever both, if the team is sensible. Is it impressive technology with good use cases? Yes, of course. It doesn't make their existence less impressive, but the age of AI like people see it just isn't here yet. We've got lots of ironing out to do. There is NO such thing as a language model of ChatGPT's size that runs efficiently. Cost, time, space, or otherwise.
