I’ve been mullin’ this over for a bit as well. It’s not what he wants on the surface, at least not deep down. But this whole routine of the single guy, keeping his options open and waiting for the right moment and the right girl to come along when he’s pushin’ 50, just isn’t washin’ anymore. Playing James Bond isn't gonna cut it. So it’s time to put on a new act. Just look at the industry: the whole vibe for actors now is the wholesome family man; being single just doesn't sell anymore. And his personal circle is no different—they're all settled down with kids. So he either goes with the flow or swims against the tide, which he clearly isn't doing. And mark my words: if it’s not her, it’ll be someone else before long.

It’s been a lot of “someone else’s” in repeated pattern over a decade now. There’s always someone else. But perhaps they’re both the best each other could do for now so.

The problem with the family man is, we aren’t buying it really. He’s not Callum Turner talking lovely about his wife and rocking a wedding band. He’s barely putting in effort, and it looks painful when he does. He clearly enjoys being with random fans more than dragging around the troops to every.single.thing. Let’s see how long he can keep up the mediocre level of interest. He’s never done it long term before.

I find it quite amusing that he made Lake Banook so instantly recognizable, yet no one actually talks about the fact he is in Canada—which is surely what he had hoped for by deliberately choosing to film there. It’s a bit unsettling to see that this kind of staging doesn't generate as much interest these days. I also find it amusing just how present he is online, from the moment he wakes up until he goes to bed. You wonder if his family life isn't quite as interesting as he claims with his trolling via MPC given his need to rely so heavily on social media throughout the day.

Well you’re right about the fact that nobody cares. Even friends I talk to do not give a shite if he’s in Canada or working somewhere, or at home. I don’t know if that was his goal, but here we are. If he really wants a private life to go off and be the in-law, it’s working for him I suppose.

Except…yeah…that part about him being constantly online, looking for anything to post. It’s boredom scrolling imo. Feels like Spain. Is his present company that dull? Is he waiting around for a call up for the tiny part in that film? No idea. His focus awhile has been on his traveling circus and the audience has left. Maybe he needs the time to think about that.

Funny how things go. If it were a year ago, I’d have laughed; if it were six months ago, I’d have had my doubts, but today I’m just hoping this man hasn’t screwed anything up.

Ps.: And no, I don’t think he’s actually done anything. He posts on Instagram about whatever he’s involved in. But I just wouldn’t vouch for this man — completely different to how I used to be so sure about things back in the day. And lately it seems like he’s playing a character and acting out a role. And I find myself wondering: how far would he actually go with this?

Do you think Cait even tells Sam about her projects anymore or it’s such an embarrassment of riches that she feels sorry for him? Really wonder how much they communicate.

Probably very little now; they’re no longer working together and have very separate lives.

There have been 2 posts on Sound of Safe Harbour account yesterday and today the 2 year anniversary of Eoin’s passing . She’s not liked or commented on either post that I can see , even some of her (SH’s) followers have . It would be the least she could do as someone with such ‘ a beautiful soul ‘ if she acknowledged his anniversary, his musician colleagues at least continue to show him respect and genuinely seem to grieve his untimely loss .

I disagree. She needs to let him rest in peace. They both do. I’ve come to realize she didn’t set her account to private…to be private. It was to try to hide her past. She erased him as fast as possible. Erased his name and his photos and recreated them with Sam. Only to resurrect Eoin for some brief monetary gain. So no, they don’t need to say anything for us. His friends and family deserve to remember him today.

While Cait is on a roll, Sam is on the right path to anonymity. Someone needs to wake that man up.

Imagine having a partner that actually lets you work. Doesn’t demand your full attention or to be glued to you. I’m exhausted just watching him schlep them around all year.
