Last round of #crackle experimentation. These samples used exclusively #kromacrackle paste. It takes up to 3 days for most applications to dry. Thatās likely the reason for that odd spot on that purple-on-red sample from yesterday. #cracklingpaste experiments from last night. I used 1:5 mix of #acrylicpaint and #cracklingmedium. The first two used Turner #U-35 #Crackling Primer from Japan. Photo no 2 technically used two wet layers because I realized that the original blue used a transparent pigment. No 3 was interesting because I opted to use my tube of Kroma Crackle. The paint that I used was a Hue made by Liquitex. When dry it created an effect like I stained the center. Is this reproducible? This is something different I just tried. Took a sheet of used canvas paper, and I gessoed it with normal gesso and QOR water color ground. Then I ran out through my #canon printer, using a matte paper setting. I wanted to see if there was going to be an interest effect due to the watercolor ground. It behaved like a normal sheet of canvas paper.
