Sixteen peaches, oh my. Doesn’t that seem a little excessive to you?

I’m trying to flatter her, not purchase her affections. No, eleven and fifteen is quite enough, I think.

Well I was going to say better to have excess and then any you have left over you can eat them you see my logic? Better safe than sorry no mate?

I couldn't say when I try to charm a lady my first choice isn't often fruit. She likes flowers from what I know though.

But no, no… I know that you are correct. The council has been concerned about the growing tensions between us. Henry may’ve killed my father— and it isn’t speaking ill of the dead if we recognize the fact that he was an insufferable git— but there is something about that woman that puts my teeth on edge. I can hardly stand to be hundreds of miles from her, much less in the same room.

Well that was just me attempting to play the concerned lord as I've been ordered to. My other more unruly self would just say let them go to the depths of their frosty hell and stay here and bask in the sun and sea.

It is a valid point that I would be inclined to agree - it does require some consideration. Well think of it this way the sooner it's over and done with the faster you can return to ignoring Omnium and all its gaunt inhabitants. Consider all the free ale available.

Well, you know customs. Really just guidelines, anyway. I’m sure they’ll survive. And if not— well, you won’t have to worry much about offending them anymore, will you?

Still, Guinevere talked with some Demetri fellow she said was tolerable. Then again, he admired her cloth. It’s the quickest way to her heart, you know, for people who aren’t fortunate enough to possess the charms I naturally wield.

Well not everyone is blessed with your level of charm. So they have to find other methods of achieving good fortune and forging friendships. Such as admiring her cloth.

Personally? Well I wouldn't but for the sake of it I'd probably choose twelve and sixteen peaches.

"My tough luck then, it seems." She shrugged it off, glancing away from him, although it was mostly to hide the grin on her lips. She could feel her stomach rumbling lightly, and cleared her throat as an attempt to block it out. "You consider yourself a demon, then?" Kait arched an eyebrow at his choice of words, finally directing her gaze towards his; the glint she saw both worried and excited her –– until his eyes dropped to her legs. "My eyes are up here, you know." She teased him, tucking her legs underneath herself.

He pushed the food towards her anyway after having some of the grapes implying that she should also eat. "Aye, I consider myself a devilish demon. I'd explain but you probably wouldn't believe me." He mused before his gaze dropped quite intentionally though her comment made him look up and sigh. "Fine. I'll look at your eyes inste-" He'd been halfway through a sentence when the sound a hurried figure approached and Chris sighed when he recognised one of his officers propping himself up and grabbing his shirt to pull on as the man hastily explained about thieving down at the docks and how a fight had broken out.

"So you want me to do what? Sort it out?" He muttered rolling his eyes adopting a more serious stoic nature completely separate to how he had been a few moments prior. "Fine... If you insist. Run along and I'll be there presently." He dismissed looking to Kaitlynn with a sigh. "Well as lovely as this has been... I should probably be back restoring peace... Even if it isn't my job... Someone's got to do it.. You might aswell finish off the food... And thank you for your company as ever Miss Abel."

Oh no, the ball should not be tedious— I expect it to be very exciting. The Omnians are offended at… well, most things… and they make the most hilarious faces imaginable.

It should be fine. Don’t worry. Bring some alcohol— though they usually provide plenty.

Besides, if your lady is as charming as you describe, I doubt you’ll lack for much in the way of entertainment. If she can out opinionate the Omnians, I’ll be doubly impressed, lad.

True. I might just hire a painter to capture their likenesses on canvas to take home. I'm sure we'll find something to offend them about.

I'm one step ahead of you there, already got some of my favourite being shipped in. I'll just take that with me.

Well I'll have to exchange plesantries with the others... As much as I'd like to stay with her all night I doubt it would be considered good in the way of custom. We'll just have to see maybe I'll challenge her to try and do that see if she can do it.

-He came to a stop infront of the stall and picked out the plums rather quickly- How many are you after? I'm considering getting some apples, then I'm in need of some bait... Considering going crab and lobster catching today.

"Bad luck for me, then." She repeated, the corners of her lips quirking slightly. Her hands positioned themselves by her ankles, gently grazing her fingers over the sand beneath them both. 

The blonde listened to his explanation intently, her chin resting lightly on her knees, her eyes trained steadily on him. “Right. Well then, I’m glad that you’re stern and demanding and orderly while working; I rather like your company, when you’re not being an idiot.” Kait grinned, a twinkle in her eyes. “I regret to inform you, Sir Christopher, that this maiden shan’t be tempted by grapes.” She teased him, stretching her legs out in front of her.

"Supremely bad." He conceded with a curling smirk as he peered up at her. Occasionally he stopped to take a grape and eat it before he stole a few of the nuts that had been included and ate those as well. "Harsh words fair lady. Truly harsh words. It's a job requirement." Listening to her response he broke out in a wider smirk eating a few more nuts before responded. "Patience, I'll have my way with you eventually. You'll see. A demon doesn't like to be rushed into his deals but always has his way in the end." He drawled softly a promise lingering on the words anchored with the mischievous glint that shone in his eyes; which automatically dropped to her legs out of a natural urge to admire her which tended to happen most times he saw her.

That it has, you never know Christopher-His Grace may throw a celebration in response sometimes later, and then Omnium residents shall have to face the sea.

I might just suggest that to his majesty the next time I speak with him. Give those Omniums a taste of their own potions... Maybe I'll put sand in all of their invitations just to spite them.

Glad to hear that. I'm thinking about taking her to this ball despite how fearful I am of its tediousness.

Well various reasons I would suppose. She's not exactly like the other women of court... Definitely more bold than most would approve of but that would be typical in a girl that interests me... I've never been a man of demure or vapid girls and she certainly has a smart and opinionated mind on her.... She in herself poses a challenge of sorts and I find myself wishing to solve it... All those things and plus she's extremely easy on the eye.

Quite so, never know what might happen in my absence though I'm always wary when travelling away from what I'd consider my one true home.. The lack of salt water in Omnium is... Rather a daunting prospect to say the least. But should my best men be in charge I suppose I don't have anything to truly be concerned of.

I would take that offer but I would think most would considered it as bad form if I did not attend what with my status, and as the King I suppose it's a necessity to uphold this alliance as it's dubbed no?
