Hello. Weâre the Chromαtic Roses. An adaptive dissociative system. You can call us Chroma when we donât specify whoâs fronting. Ask us what pronouns we prefer, itâll change depending on whoâs in front.
Posts tagged with #<name>core are posts that remind us of various alters within our system.
BYF and other blogs under the cut!
BYF:
Donât ask us whoâs fronting. If we want to be called a specific name, weâll specify. If not just use Chromα.
We are fictive heavy, specifically RvB fictive heavy.
Red vs Blue has been our main special interest for over a decade. Our other main SpIn is Undertale/Deltarune.
We are inclusive of all system types and origins! Plurality is a spectrum and the psychiatric institute is a means of oppression. If you donât agree we will block you.
We are inclusionists. We very strongly believe in respecting self identification. Whatever label someone wants to be called is what they are called. We may not understand why, but that doesnât matter. You know you better than anyone else ever possibly could.
The question of how fiction interacts with reality is one with so much complexity and nuance that every piece of art must be analyzed for its impact on an individual basis. The idea that you can boil down this incredibly complex issue into two opposing factions is so asinine it infuriates me. If you align yourself with either side of "shipcourse" you will not find a home here.
Trans men/transmasculine people face a unique form of oppression that deserves to be addressed. I do not care what words you use to describe it and consider arguments about language to be distractions from actually addressing transmasculine oppression.

hey any memes that use drooling as a sign of stupidity are ableist btw. not implicitly ableist or from ableist origins it is literally just ableist. And your mutual with brain damage (ME) is judging you for it
[ID: tags reading "drooling brain dents bike helmets large headphones etc like whatever. Whatever" /end ID]
strabismus, word salad, aphasia, so much other stuff that gets used as a joke and/or to indicate stupidity (and especially inferiority as a result of stupidity! stop posting fucking wojacks!) and it's all ableist. and i see it all the time and i am so tired of it
HLVRAI LIVE IN PERSON! And its just a soldout theatre of people watching wayne in a VR headset talk to himself with no screen to show us what heâs seeing and no speakers so we dont know what heâs hearing.
saying this as a lesbian who loves women's boobs--sexually, even! but i don't think that we as a society should consider breasts inherently female or inherently sexual. a flat chest should not be seen as the "default" for gender neutrality but instead just one way a person can present. boobs should be normal. anyone of any gender can have boobs
I will not call myself or other people "gooners" or "npcs" or "larpers". i will not call things i dont like "slop". i will not use terms like "-oids". i dont like how common language is slowly becoming more focused on shorthand terms for hate and apathy
whatâs the real story with argentina being a nazi haven, overblown stereotype or lib fabrication? or more an annoying rhetorical distraction from the fact that the real nazi haven was germany and that denazification simply did not happen?
I mean there *were* cases of nazis being smuggled into brazil, argentina, chile, and paraguay through illegal escape routes colloquially referred to as ratlines. That is a thing that did happen.
However, the way americans in particular seem to latch onto this fact to dismiss any latin american that pisses them off, either in a "well whatever your country gave refuge to nazis" sense, or in a "I'm directly implying your family were escaped nazis" sense (another example I remember seeing once was a post about US imperialism in latin america where a yankee replied that OP had no business bitching about imperialism because she was probably "a white brazilian called Helga or something") is a bit ironic to me, considering that:
The vast majority of german immigrants to these countries in the 20th century were jewish refugees fleeing the nazis
The US took in thousands more nazis after ww2 than the entirety of Latin America combined
A lot of the nazis that *did* escape to latin america did so with the direct help of US intelligence agencies
Nazis that escaped to the US were treated as valuable anti-soviet assets, and many of them were given cushy jobs by the US government. Most of the nazis who escaped to latin america spent their entire lives hiding from the authorities under false identities, and those who were discovered were extradited or jailed
So americans in particular thinking they have any right to joke about latin american countries being nazi havens is just plain xenophobic jingoism
I think thereâs a conversation to be had about how âanimal rights activismâ is generally considered the easiest form of activism because it allows one to disconnect themselves from overall societal issues, and itâs why many celebrities consider themselves to be animal rights activists, but due to a complete lack of research and complacency on what animal rights activism actually entails, most of these activists end up doing a lot more harm than good. Theyâre the people who will only focus on stray dogs and cats during natural disasters or genocides that kill thousands of human beings; or the people who boycott âkill sheltersâ and replace them with âno-kill sheltersâ despite the fact that this lack of understanding on how these shelters work directly leads to the deaths of more animals; or the people who replace animal products with âvegan alternativesâ that have more impact on the environment than the original products; or the people who donât understand why the natural next step in Greta Thunbergâs environmental activism was to advocate for Palestine.
Like, animal and environmental rights activism is so misunderstood by the people within the movement who are doing it for all the wrong reasons, and itâs mostly because they do not understand that animal rights and human rights are so intrinsically connected that you cannot seperate the two at all without watering down your activism into a complete nothingburger.
Itâs also because they donât do basic Google searches on how things work either, but thatâs neither here nor there.
Is Dude Gender Neutral is just Is Christmas Secular for gender. no, it's not gender/religiously neutral. yes, you can personally interact with it in a non-gendered/christian fashion. yes, it is an asshole move to insist it's neutral to someone who isn't a man/doesn't practice christianity. yes, people who aren't men/don't practice christianity can do the thing without compromising their identities. are we done yet
hlvrai is like. That image of a bunch of characters that are like âthank god Iâm the only normal one hereâ except only Gordon is thinking that. And heâs wrong.
"shipping and blorbofication are not inherently at odds with understanding a story's deep themes" and "some people can't grasp the themes of a story because they never learned how to engage with stories outside of the lens of shipping and blorbofication" are two statements that can coexist
blorbofication to me is when you love a character in such a laser focus way that you somewhat detach them from the narrative from which they are inserted and treat them in a way roughly similar to how you'd treat an oc for which you still have no story and just like to put them in situations just for fun. which there's nothing wrong with btw, it's just that it can easily lead to people forgetting the character engine in a narrative and not just a barbie doll
Every attempt to like, "explain tradwives" or whatever (or basically "explain" the presence of conservative, far-right, alt-right, and otherwise reactionary women) always seems so focused on finding one single thing to blame it on ("they're disillusioned with girlboss feminism having gone too far" and "actually they just wanna do bdsm" being the two worst ones imo) and yet no one seems to have come to the conclusion that women are fully autonomous individual people equally capable of being religious fundamentalists, White supremacists, nationalists of all kinds, and, yes, misogynists for mostly the exact same reasons men are
âTeachers are often unaware of the gender distribution of talk in their classrooms. They usually consider that they give equal amounts of attention to girls and boys, and it is only when they make a tape recording that they realize that boys are dominating the interactions. Dale Spender, an Australian feminist who has been a strong advocate of female rights in this area, noted that teachers who tried to restore the balance by deliberately âfavouringâ the girls were astounded to find that despite their efforts they continued to devote more time to the boys in their classrooms. Another study reported that a male science teacher who managed to create an atmosphere in which girls and boys contributed more equally to discussion felt that he was devoting 90 per cent of his attention to the girls. And so did his male pupils. They complained vociferously that the girls were getting too much talking time. In other public contexts, too, such as seminars and debates, when women and men are deliberately given an equal amount of the highly valued talking time, there is often a perception that they are getting more than their fair share. Dale Spender explains this as follows: âThe talkativeness of women has been gauged in comparison not with men but with silence. Women have not been judged on the grounds of whether they talk more than men, but of whether they talk more than silent women.â In other words, if women talk at all, this may be perceived as âtoo muchâ by men who expect them to provide a silent, decorative background in many social contexts.â
