The Light Bringer

The last piece I've "created" this year, well it was more of modifying an old drawing of this that I made from a few years ago. I changed the lamp plus added more rays compared to the measly 5 it originally had. The rays were all done in Procreate while the new lamp was hand drawn.

Under the Stillness of Night

I've created a few artworks this year but most of them are pretty much either a redraw of an old drawing, completing an old abandoned drawing, or just improving an old drawing by adding more elements to them. This is so far the only "original" artwork I've created this year. Kinda inspired by how my mind takes on a journey through many different stories/scenarios before I completely fall asleep...insomnia and over thinking means my mind can't stay still even in moments of relaxation.

Good Luck Cat

Another drawing I finished early this year well the main drawing was finished late last year but I decided to add more elements to it in Procreate. This one inspired by Maneki-Neko, I've always had this idea of creating an illustration inspired by one. My initial concept then was a lot different compared to what I've created but anyway, the cat in the middle was one of the neighborhood kittens I used to feed but she tragically passed away and I thought this was a nice way to memorialize her.

The Altar

A drawing I finished just early this year but something I've been working on for a couple of years but due to creative block and laziness, I would work on it a bit then stop and was just never consistent. Anyway, It took a while but at least I finished it.

Sea Monster

-Illustration inspired by pollution in our ocean. This is also the second drawing I drew inspired by this environmental issue. I started this drawing last year but only completed it this week (actually I thought I was done with it last year but I had more ideas for it apparently.) However I've had this idea in my head for the longest now, I thought that the plastic bags could be mistaken as jellyfish (I just found out just a couple of days ago that turtles eat jellyfish and they could mistake plastic bags as jellyfish).

"Imposter Syndrome"

It's been a while since I posted something here on Tumblr but here's one of the drawings I finished this year, after a long period of stagnation...I guess I've been feeling inspired and invigorated lately that I need to scratch off this creative itch that I've been putting off for a long while. In a way, this drawing kinda encapsulate that feeling of artistic stagnation.

Evanescence - The Bitter Truth Typographic posters.

Created a series of typographic posters inspired by the songs on Evanescence’s latest LP “The Bitter Truth.” All fonts were custom fonts created in Illustrator. So far this collection is incomplete with a few songs missing, maybe I’ll get around to creating them but until then...

Creative Pride

Something I created in Illustrator to celebrate Pride Month. Happy Pride to all my fellow LGBT designers, artists, illustrators, and any one in the creative field. The colors were inspired by the original Pride flag which consisted of 8 colors instead of 6 colored flags in which we now wave today. Be proud of your work and be proud of yourself.
