Native to town, Christoph had a relative good and sweet childhood. He’s close to his family.
Christoph was always a lil awkward because he was always somewhat of a deep feeler who liked to sit off to the side and people-watch. That’s not to say that he closed himself off to interactions, so he did connect and play with the other kids, he just always felt a little off.
No matter, because everyone really liked him! He was sweet and docile by nature, which made him not popular but well-known and well-liked by his peers the older he got. He’s always been rather handsome, too, so that helped.
In high school, he took theater as his elective and immediately fell in love with the performing arts.
Once he graduated, he headed over to NYC for school and to start his career on the stage.
While out there, he and his sister’s friend, Mati ( @mativaldcs ) grew closer. A bit too close, actually. What started off as a genuine friendship turned into confused and sour feelings that ultimately lead to them having a falling out.
His time in New York wasn’t all bad, but in the end, it wasn’t really good either. While he made a career doing what he loved, he still found the people around him shallow and shortsighted. The city really drained the romantic in him, so one day, he made the decision to just come back home.
Being back home is okay, but that’s just how he sees things now--as just okay. He thought that being back home would awaken the earnest interest for people and his surroundings that he once had, but it has yet to be redeveloped, so we’ll see if, with time, he regains what he’s lost.
TL;DR - Once a timid and sincere boy, Christoph has become somewhat apathetic man because of how his once rose-colored glasses eventually darkened his worldview.

Family - cousins, HIS SISTER (she’s a few years younger, might fill out a WC, more TBD)

The last few weeks had felt like a blur to Steph. All the fighting, the confrontations, the questions left unanswered had left her desperate for alone time. She was thankful for her work schedule for keeping her busy, while also loving the fact that her new house had proven to be a bit of a fixer-upper in some places. After her mistake of hooking up with Wyatt the last time she had asked for his help, Steph had instead turned to her brother and other friends to help her paint and replace old carpeting. Some evenings her home was bustling with music, beer, and pizza. Other nights she relished in the silence as the paint roller erased white paint in the matter of a few strokes. Steph couldn’t have told you the last time she had truly been alone with her thoughts and felt comfortable. College maybe? High school? It was refreshingly easy to slip back into the person she once was.
Packing a lunch, a blanket, and a book, Steph found the perfect spot to sit and relax at the Botanical Garden. While she had been here so many times over the course of her life, Steph always prided herself on finding some of the most tucked away portions of the gardens. The views seemed to settle her in ways that nothing else could. Just as she picked up her newest Book of the Month novel, Steph felt a shadow cross over her. Sighing heavily, she looked up at the person standing in front of her, slightly hoping her day wasn’t about to get rained on.
As Christoph drove from his place in Old Town to Humbolt Hills so he could take his new puppy for a walk, he realized he had never actually seen anyone with a pet at the botanical garden there. Would he be breaking a rule if he were to take Rosco there to sniff around and explore a little bit?
Never one to pay much mind to rules or anything, Christoph resolved to direct the eager beagle towards the more unpopular paths. The chilly weather seemed to be favorable for both pup and person, which humored the actor. It had only been a few days since he had adopted Rosco so they were still bonding and while Christoph’s patience had been tested within those 72 hours, he still couldn’t deny how incredibly adorable he found the small dog to be.
As Rosco went about finding new territories to mark, Christoph planted his feet just off to the side of the pathway as if trying to communicate to his new pet that he did not want to rush him. So while one seeking scents behind bushes, the latter scrolled through his phone, looking through the pictures he had taken on the pup as he considered posting one on his neglected Instagram account.
It was a deep sigh that brought him back to the space he standing in. Looking around, at first Christoph was confused as to who could have possibly let out such an exasperated breath. It wasn’t until his gaze sunk down to ground did his eyes meet with a rather vexed blonde’s. Somehow, this amused him as a pang of deja vu hit him. “Let me guess. I’m in your light?”
MATI: You'll have to convince me there's anything worth missing about this place but, sure, makes sense. We can't all be eternally in our youth 💁♀️
MATI: And please. I'm 95% positive that I was 65% more melodramatic than that. But yeah, you're not wrong.
MATI: Didn't really have a choice, though. Not really. Things haven't been so great for my parents at the bakery so. Here I am. Mostly, somewhat convincingly, smiling.
CHRISTOPH: I'll bring some wine, it'll help get rid of the weird so it can be all nice
CHRISTOPH: Well, for starters, there's plenty of nice things here that you can't get in the city and nothing in the city you can't experience in a single weekend trip
CHRISTOPH: Oh sorry miss but my acting skills have yet to be developed so that I can properly convey your theatrics over text 🙄
CHRISTOPH: I am rly sorry to hear about your parents though. Let me know if I can do anything to help, okay?
Ariel sat under a tree with a book at the park, Pierogi sleeping happily by her side. It had been awhile since she had got some time to herself, aka, a day off. She was into her book, when she saw a shadow over her book. “Excuse me, but you’re blocking my light. I also happen to be reading a really great book.”
“Well, you’re in my spot,” Christoph said, gesturing towards her place under the tree with his own book in hand. It happened to be his favorite tree here and with many other people out for the day, taking up other favored locations within the park grounds, he felt ready to reach a compromise. “So I can either stay here, blocking your light, or you can scoot over and make some room.” He wanted to avoid the complete opposite side of the trunk since he wouldn’t be as shaded.
OPEN / VICE — SATURDAY 8TH OF MAY @eureka-starters
it may have taken her a while to get out of the tub, as was her way to wallow, neve had spent her time drinking in the tub, bubbles basically overflowing, listening to the saddest music that hozier ever wrote— that was it. she’d done her wallowing, hozier turned to beyonce, beyonce turned to the distillers, and neve found herself spending time in her gallery, pulling the pieces that were influenced by clay, or the portraits that were of clay, and leaving them out on the side of the road, a piece of paper reading “FREE” across the front of the pile. it felt good, ridding the gallery of his face. maybe that was what she needed.
a few hours later and she found herself at vice, yet again. pulling herself up at the bar, she shot the bar tender a massive grin before she slammed a credit card down on the surface. “let’s open a tab, Jimmy. Start me off with that Macallan red. And uh, another of whatever they’re having.”
A spot at the end of the bar--practically the corner of the room itself--called to Christoph once he entered Vice. He took a seat and ordered his usual, chatting with the bartender here and there when things were slow enough for them to engage in conversation. When things picked up, he had no issue allowing his blue hues to scan the area, taking in the small details of all the socializing happening around him.
Just as he was observing a woman throw her head back in laughter, touching the arm of the man who had spoken and caused her to react so wholeheartedly, the sound of a card slapping the bar top’s surface reeled him back to himself before he could begin to wonder what had been said to merit such a response from her. This woman next to him--the one whose drink the bartender was now fixing up--seemed familiar. Christoph tried his best to come up with where he had seen her, but nothing specific came to mind. Which was the thing about small towns, wasn’t it? The likelihood of having crossed paths with someone before actually meeting them was high. A bit too high for comfort, but eh, what was one to do?
Once her words registered in Christoph’s head, he grinned and lifted his glass to offer an informal toast. “If you’re looking for a good time, I’ll warn you now, I’m not a cheap date,” he winked before casually adding, “so I don’t mind paying for the first round if you think you can beat me at a game of quarters.”
A cappuccino and a seat by one of the outdoor heaters at one of his favorite cafes promised a relaxing mid-morning outing. As Christoph reached for his beverage, he had to peer up from the book he had been reading and consequently caught sight of a familiar figure just a couple of tables ahead of him.
Taking a sip, the actor did his best to remember the last thing he had heard about Tai. The details were fuzzy, but he was certain they were far from Eureka. Yet, there he was?
Unwilling to simply walk up and see for himself for fear of finding him face to face with a stranger--or worse, someone he knew, but didn’t want to talk to, Christoph decided to text the other to see if were really him.
Quickly, he typed out the words Been a while since you’ve come see me perform. Did I lose a fan? and hit send. If he saw the person in front of him receive a text, it would confirm to him that it was indeed his old high school theatre pal, which would mean he would go and see what he was doing back home. If nothing, then Christoph would carry on reading the rest of his morning away. // @taisirifrezi

“From an insiders perspective,” Leland muttered up, not able to help himself from putting in his two cents, “I really recommend that you don’t think about ordering the corned beef hash—” He glanced over towards the person by his side; standing there as he waited for his own take-out order. “If you were even considering it, that is. It’s not that it’s bad or anything, but…” There was a beat of a pause as he leaned in a little closer, tone dropping just above a whisper, “We tend to use the leftovers for that one. It’s just not the highest quality.”
The new information caused Christoph’s expression to wrinkle into a grimace. His gaze flitted away from the hanging menu to side-eye the other. “First of all, should you be telling people that?” He asked, waiting a beat before leaning towards the other, so he could mimic the other’s tone and still be heard when he went on. “Secondly, is there anything else that I need to know about? Should I just go somewhere else?”
