askabbiehow:
“Good, we want you here. Don’t we Ali?” She smiled, watching the blonde bake. “That’s not weird.”
“That makes me feel pretty good,” she smiled back at them when the little girl nodded. “No, it’s not. He’s hot.”
theoriginalthea:
“It would’ve been a normal day to be around 800 years ago, although I confess. I have no done any baking in my immortal life. Other priorities, it seems.”
The blonde smiled over at the vampire. “Well, now is your chance.” She held a spoon out. “Come on, come have fun with me.”
jaxoncartwright:
“Is that my official name?” He cracked an egg on the side of the bowl. “It is, you should be intimidated. I get competitive about everything.”
“Is it what you wish me to call you?” she laughed lightly, holding a spoon in her hands, she suddenly had no idea what she was doing. She was too focused on him. “What are we even baking? So, competitive, a leader, great hair and a gentleman.”
askabbiehow:
Abbie stayed in the kitchen, watching Chrysta bake. She found that relaxing. “Oh wow, alright. You win. You’re not leaving though right? We like having you here. Oh well now you’re talking. How old?” She covered Alice’s ears with a grin.
The blonde poured the flour into the bowl, able to do a lot of things by eye. She never had fancy baking equipment growing up. “I don’t want to win. Just, life is life. But no. I’m not leaving. I am here to stay,” she smiled. “I like being here too. Like ten years older. Not too much.”
askabbiehow:
Abbie raised a brow, she did let herself smile as she heard her daughter laugh. Chrysta was right. She needed to let go and have some fun. “Oh, i do not want to talk about that… no men in the kitchen. I still love him. He still loves Alice and wants to be in Alice’s life. But everything else. Very complicated. You?”
The little girl clapped and Chrysta smiled. She enjoyed this feeling, she’d never had this growing up. “Deal. That I can definitely agree too,” she nodded. “Hmm, my husband told me he’s a different person. He wishes for me to leave. I think I am accepting that and I... think I am trying with a hot older mayor.”
askabbiehow:
“You all say that till after.” She stepped forward, kissing Alice’s head as she passed her the spoon. “Yeah, i get you.”
“No, it’s fun. Let go. Come enjoy yourself.” She smiled, watching the girl and her mother. “Things still complicated?”
jaxoncartwright:
“Helping? I’m taking over this mess. I was born to lead.” He laughed, picking up the sugar.
“Is that how it is, Mr Mayor?” she giggled, moving aside for him. “Is the pro showing me how it’s done?”
askabbiehow:
She waved her hands “Oh no, I am not a baker… “ She shook her head as the little girl nodded. “That sounds great, i guess it all just… takes some adjusting to.”
“Come on, it’s fun. No judgment here, is there, Alice?” she smiled, flicking flour at her. “It is... you understand. Just adjustment time.”
jaxoncartwright:
Jaxon rolled his sleeves up “I have a niece, a mother and a sister. There’s nothing wrong with a baking day.”
The blonde smile, watching him. “Oh the sleeves are up, it’s serious. You’re helping, are you? Okay, show me what you’ve got, Mr Uncle.”
askabbiehow:
Abbie smiled, she liked seeing the woman a little happier. “I’ll leave you two too it, don’t want to ruin the good time. But it’s nice to see you smiling Chrysta. Things are feeling better?”
“You’re not baking with us?” She smiled at Alice. “Should your mom join us?” She nodded. “I am feeling pretty good. Yeah, I guess, I’m accepting things and living my life.”
askabbiehow:
Alice jumped on the counter excitedly and enthusiastically joining in. Abbie just blinked. “Everything is a mess.” She joked, smiling at the blonde.
The girl grinned, she was happy to be doing something none supernatural with a fellow human. She enjoyed being friends with Abbie and her little girl. “A good mess. I haven’t done this in so long.”
“I thought I’d try to be totally domesticated and have a baking day. That’s normal, right?” she laughed a little.
theoriginalthea:
“very well.” She nodded her head. “If you truly wish to attend, i will not stop you.” She held out her arm once again. “Come this way before the rain starts again.”
“Thank you. I like that you don’t treat me like I’m fragile. I’m a grown woman and I want to be seen that way.” She gave a little smile, taking her arm. “Okay, coming.”
theoriginalthea:
“If you say it, it must be true.” She replied in a tired tone. “It is a vampire party, if you are not comfortable in my world. I would not want to make you uncomfortable further.”
The blonde nodded, she was serious. “Yes. I want to. You’re right. I’m an independent woman and I’m ready to explore this world. I want to. You don’t make me uncomfortable. You never have. I have great respect for you.”
theoriginalthea:
Thea rolled her eyes “Darling, you’re mistaking belittling for not wanting to tell you the exact same thing for the hundredth time. I have told you, ask him how he feels and move on if he says he doesn’t care. In every conversation we have. If you want to go after a man that does not want you, I can do no more then offer you the same advice I have been offering all along. What do you want from me?”
“No. I am truly done with Sam. I came to you and told you that. There is no one in my life. You are my friend and you are the person I want to spend time with.” She sighed. “Take me to the party? Help me see who I am without men. That is what I want.”
“Home, SWEET home. It has been a while.”
The blonde leaned back in her seat, lifting the coffee to her lips. “I’m struggling to make this place home. You’re from here?”
