Ok ok last Knights of Guinevere inspired au I promise!!
What if a dark yandere sea family and Percy au where Sally ended up dying shortly after giving birth to Percy, leaving Poseidon to take him back to Atlantis and raise him with Amphitrite.
In this au, Poseidon and his family never moved past the death of Pallas and noticed how similar Percy is to her in both looks and personality. They have an unhealthy relationship with Percy where they pretty much see him as a copy of her and project their grief onto him. They’re all extremely overprotective of Percy because of this and also because he’s a mortal demigod, meaning they could easily lose him like they lost Pallas.
Poseidon took away Percy’s legs at a young age and left him with a merman tail so he could never go to the surface. That hasn’t stopped the stubborn demigod from trying to escape numerous times, only to be dragged back and locked away by Poseidon or Triton. Percy’s determined to escape to the surface, not just to see what it’s like, but to also escape his controlling family who plan on turning him immortal so he’ll be with them forever.
At some point, Annabeth and Grover are walking by the shores near camp when they notice a lifeless looking body washed up on the sand. They become even more shocked to see that’s it’s a merman. Percy spent such a long time washed up on shore that he was severely dehydrated and weakened, relying on being carried to camp where he was finally given water. Percy realizes he can’t speak to his new saviors as he can only make clicks and whines like a dolphin. Percy likes Annabeth and bites at anyone who tries to take him from her. Percy, despite being on land, is still pretty strong and has sharp claws and teeth to fight with. He doesn’t use his powers much since he doesn’t wanna give away his location to Poseidon.
Back in Atlantis, the entire royal family is in panic over their missing Prince Perseus, especially upon hearing he’s made it to the surface. Poseidon sends out as many of his beasts and children to search for his son and bring him home, no matter how many lives they must kill………..
I’m probably not the only person to notice this, but I realize how throughout the pilot, Gwen doesn’t react or do anything until she senses the giant guard robot near and immediately freaks out, literally screaming. Her also fidgeting/glitching could be her desperately trying to run/move but unable to, like she’s shaking in fear.
She’s so traumatized by just the idea of being forcibly brought back to Olivia, that it literally triggers a traumatic response that breaks her programming just from sensing a guard robot nearby. At least that’s how I interpret it.
Broken Pantheon x Athenide au where the fates allow the Athenide to be born so she can battle Kronos into undoing his curse that prevents the gods from having kids.
During their battle, Kronos swallows Perseleia and she spends the next few hundred years stabbing and cutting him from the inside until he finally throws her up and lifts his curse, finally allowing new gods and demigods to be born. Perseleia was never seen again and everyone believed she had died from her injuries. Many Greek tragedies and statues were made in her honor and she became a sacred martyr figure among the gods and camp half blood.
That is until a young Percy Jackson and his friends find a strange dog who won’t stop following them on their quest to find the lightning bolt thief. The dog has numerous burn marks and old injuries, yet somehow barely acts like it’s in pain, is always energetic, and scarily strong. They also notice how other animals back away from the dog or act very reverent towards it. Percy decides to name it Argos. They definitely suspect the dog isn’t normal, which is fully confirmed when they end up badly injured when fighting the chimera and it easily rips apart the giant monster before going back to trying to bite its own tail like nothing happened. I can imagine a scene where Percy wakes up being carried by the Athenide in her true form, who is still badly scarred and burned. But Percy only sees a beautiful goddess warmly comforting him and that she’ll take care of this threat.
The reason why Perseleia is a dog is because she was so traumatized by her long fight with Kronos, that not only was she physically scarred but mentally too and retreats into her dog form as a coping mechanism. She will revert to her true form though when her demigod children are in serious danger. Perseleia has amnesia due to her trauma and mostly believes she’s a normal dog, but she still has her strong will to protect those under her care. None of the other gods know shes still alive until the battle of manhattan where she regains her memories and reveals herself to everyone. Apollo still finds her so beautiful even with her scars and burns.
(The reason why I even wrote all this was because I kept on thinking of that one scene in KOG where Gwen suddenly screams and scares Frankie and Andy. I can see dog Perseleia letting out an eerily human scream whenever danger is near and it scares the shit out of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover)
I’ve yet to see fanart of the Athenide in full Minoan/Mycenaean makeup and dress
Hera and Athenide’s relationship will always be so interesting to me because of how polarizing it is. Both are goddesses of loyalty (Hera being marital faith and the Athenide with loyalty in general), meaning they do respect each other to a degree. Yet Hera would also hate Perseleia since she’s also the goddess of demigods, whom Hera despises since most of them are products of Zeus’ affairs.
Hera should hate that queen of bastards. Yet she can’t help but also respect and be proud of her as a loyalty goddess like her. Every time Zeus cheats, he’s not only insulting Hera but also Perseleia since she’s the literal embodiment of loyalty. She’s one of the few people who looks past Hera’s intimidating nature and sees her hurt and offers sympathy/comfort. But that doesn’t mean she still won’t hesitate to go against her when it comes to defending innocent demigod children from her wrath.
The lord of the rings but hobbits love eating empanadas. That’s it. Just cuz I’ve been craving them lately. You cannot tell me hobbits wouldn’t love them. They’d probably put mushrooms in them. I feel like they’d prefer baked empanadas over fried but who knows
I dreamt that I was dating Toki Wartooth and we ate Filipino spaghetti. I feel like he’d like it
Ok but what if the Athenide’s sacred animals were just ducks. Like its funny but makes sense since ducks are both land and water animals, which is fitting for Perseleia. And like it’d be so funny to picture Athena in her owl form trying to teach Perseleia how to fly but she’s swimming in a pond for peas and Athena’s just confused
Poseidon: “Daughter, I know you enjoy being in your duck form. But can you not change back at least during dinner?”
Perseleia: “quack!”
Apollo carrying around duck Perseleia in his arm like a football. Don’t laugh that’s his wife!!!
I cry over the fact that we’ll probably never get Neal Illustrator Ariadne. Neal Dionysus is already so hot, so I’m sure she would’ve looked stunning next to him (especially in the Rush animatic)
I would’ve loved to see famtheon’s take on the story of Theseus and how Ariadne and Dionysus first met
While the tragedy of Apollo and Hyacinthus has been well known among the Greek myths, some tellings reveal that the Athenide, Apollo’s beloved wife, may have been in a polyamory relationship with him and Hyacinthus.
When Hyacinthus was struck and killed by the discus thrown at him by the west wind god Zephyrus, Perseleia Athenide had ruthlessly punished him by chaining him at the very darkest and undiscovered depths of the sea, where he would be cursed to endure the agonizing pain of drowning for eternity while being denied the sweet release of death. A terrifying warning to those who dare to harm the Athenide’s loved ones.
Because Zephyrus couldn’t scream underwater, his winds up above screamed for him, resulting in the wailing sound we all hear on windy days.
Perseleia, Apollo, and Hyacinthus being in a poly relationship is special to me because you can interpret their relationship however you want. I personally see Hyacinthus as gay, meaning his feelings for Perseleia weren’t romantic but they still shared a deep platonic bond that could be read as queer platonic.
I can totally see them gushing over Apollo and teasing him all the time, maybe even pulling a few pranks on him. Perseleia would often bring back pretty sea shells and pearls from the ocean as gifts for him and Apollo, and he would gift her a pretty jewel from his kingdom. Apollo would always write all sorts of beautiful poems and songs about his two lovers.
After Hyacinthus’ death, Perseleia added a light purple pearl to her headband to symbolize him, just as Apollo wears a hyacinth flower tucked in his hair. They were gonna gift him godhood once they married 😢
It’ll never not be funny to me that these two are half siblings
I have mixed views on god of war Hermes. I like his voice and cocky personality but why does he look so crusty like eww
Odysseus would be so royally fucked in the broken pantheon universe
Poseidon was already protective of his kids and didn’t take lightly to them being harmed. So just imagine how much worse and unhinged broken pantheon Poseidon would be towards Odysseus after blinding Polyphemus, one of his very few children.
There’d be no Epic the musical since now Ody has the wrath of not only Poseidon but all the other gods on his ass!
Edit: actually the more I think about it, Odysseus would be the most screwed AND protected person ever when you remember he’s actually Hermes’ great grandson, making him one of Hermes’ very few offsprings. So I can see broken pantheon Hermes being a lot more protective of Ody and having beef with Poseidon for trying to kill his great grandbaby. I can see Hermes stalking Odysseus and attending to him a lot more often or just straight up disobey the gods and fly him home himself.

My Athenide au Headcanons
(Probably should have made this my first Athenide post but oh well)
The Athenide’s Domain
Perseleia is the goddess of loyalty, oaths, and promises. As a child of Poseidon, she’s also the goddess of riptides and fountains. She is also the goddess/guardian of demigods, illegitimate offsprings, widows, and outcasts of society.
The Athenide and her Sacred Animals
Perseleia’s sacred animal would be dogs since they’re known for their loyalty to their owners and pacs. Accompanying her were her two divine dogs made from the stars. Some other accounts say she had three dogs, one of them being Argos.
Much like how the gods would spy on mortals through their animals, Perseleia would also spy on humans through the dogs on earth and could shape shift into one herself.
Because she is also a child of the sea, Perseleia must return to it every few months to appease her father Poseidon. While she is way, she entrusts Artemis to care for her dogs.
Sea horses are another sacred animal of Perseleia. Created as a gift to her from her father, sailors would say that if you were to come across them in the sea, it was a sign that your ship was under the Athenide’s protection.
The Athenide’s Weapon
The Athenide often carried a sword and shield. The sword, made from the sharpest of Steele, was a gift from Poseidon. The shield, which bore an olive tree on its crest, a gift from Athena. These weapons were a symbol of her divine strength and status as a guardian goddess, warding off any threats to those under her protection.
The Athenide’s Temple
Her temples were often built near sea shores as homage to her connection to the sea. In the center of the temple was a large fountain with a statue of her holding her sword and shield as a show of diligently protecting those who sought shelter at her temple. Many blue orchids would grow near the sea shores on her temple grounds, becoming her sacred flower.
Fountains are another common place of worship towards the Athenide, as it is the place of her birth. This made worshipping her very easy for many who couldn’t travel to her temples. So yeah, just head to a nearby fountain, or even sink, and she’s there to listen to your prayers.
