Ultimate Custom Monster Companion CYOA Interactive V1.0

Ultimate Custom Monster Companion CYOA

This took a while, but it's finally here! Due to quirks of ICC, some things have been changed from the static version, but its mostly all here. Most notably, if an option has an addon for the soul you chose, you must take the addon.

Changes from the static version: Prefabs have been swapped out for combos. Souls now comment on options they like/dislike. A few new options throughout. Worlds section has not been included. It felt under-baked, and if it returns, I'd like it to be much more fleshed out.

Feedback appreciated! This is a much bigger cyoa than my previous two, so there may be bugs, typos, and other errors.

As far as I can remember, I've always been LGBTQ+ accepting, but what really made me realize how absurd everything was, was stumbling upon a thread someone wrote on twitter about intersex individuals.

It's kinda crazy how much random hormonal imbalances can affect mental, physical, and sexual characteristics independent of supposedly "hardcoded" things in our DNA. It really puts into perspective how fluid biological binaries are.

Gender and identity are incredibly varied and fluid, and it seems silly to try and force everyone into a rigid box based on arbitrary definitions, when every aspect of our being is found on a binomial distribution, with each aspect not necessarily matching every other aspect.

Villain to the Rescue 8/10

Before I start this review, I just want to let you know this manga contains light elements of incest and questionable age gaps. It's a story following two reincarnators, and few of the lives they're reborn into put them in questionable situations. Nothing too crazy though.

I'm not really sure why I started reading this one. BL isn't exactly my MO, and the mangadex description is... questionably translated. But it only took two chapters before I was hooked.

Wang Yi is a transmigrator who's working as a villain in a multiverse of stories. It's his job to play the role of the antagonist. He's rather psychopathic, but that doesn't make him a bad person. He is very uncomfortable with the things he is forced to do, but he doesn't have a choice.

Qin Xian is Wang Yi's step-brother, and the target of his bullying. Qin Xian is secretly a telepath. He is utterly baffled about how incongruent Wang Yi's actions and thoughts are.

So many shenanigans ensue as Wang does his best to fulfill his missions while minimizing harm to Qin.

And that's just the first story they're involved with. The series involves them repeatedly reincarnating in many different stories, always finding each other and falling in love all over again, and unraveling the mystery of just why their fates are so intertwined.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. A little disappointing that the big final battle happens off-screen, but that was never really the focus. As usual, all it takes is an overly saccharine happy ending to really get me crying.

One Potion Please

A very delightful little game. Getting 100% score on every day was a bit annoying, and there are a few instant death moments that felt unfair, but it was very fun. One of my favorite aspects is the lack of random customers. Every character is recurring and has their own little arc. Having previously played the demo (weeks 1-3), I was very pleased to see how all my favorite characters developed. Also, lesbians were a nice surprise. My one minor complaint on the lewd side of things was the belly potion, which is fat-focused, rather than the inflation/pregnant type I prefer. But the slime soft-vore was a welcome surprise. I also found it really funny that this game has all sorts of weird kink stuff, but it's the clown stuff that gets a blatant content warning. Overall, it is a silly but fun little puzzle game for those who enjoy expansion and transformation.
