Yuri!!! on Ice Trash I Found In My Drafts(Ep.9)
This episode was truly beautiful in every single way possible. (Focusing on Yuri)
Starting off with Yuri’s free skate, everyone knew without Victor there, he wouldn’t be at his top form. His performance was so incredibly hard to watch, it was so incredibly stressing. They implemented his program in this episode so well because we could feel what Yuri was feeling. He was trying so hard, he was trying his very best to make this free skate one to remember I’m a positive light.
Each touch down, or each flub of his steps had my heart clenching and skipping beats, it was truly a ride!
It was also a nice touch, when Yuri went around hugging everyone, and so tightly too. You can tell he was craving Victor’s touch, and seriously trying to ease that ache, to fill a hole only victor could cover. He didn’t know how to act without bae with him lol
Onto Yurio’s scene, I loved this so much. Starting off with Yurio yelling at Yuri so step up his game, he cares enough to where he wants him to make it through, because he knows how hard Yuri’s been trying, and I’m sure he’s come to respect him.
When he gave Yuri the porzchki, it was such a laid back, heartwarming scene. They actually gave off the atmosphere of close brothers, rather than “father and son” like in last weeks episode. It was a nice touch, and very sweet, fragrant interaction. It shows that their relationship goes far past competitors on the Ice.
The last scene, OMFG that last Victurri scene, don’t even get me started on that WORK OF ART. I couldn’t be the only one getting reality tv show/soap opera feels when they were running beside each other, separated by only a wall of glass. But boy oh boy, I nearly cried.
You can tell when they hugged each other, they felt, “at home”. They felt it in their being, and in their entire spirit that they belonged with each other, and it was just plain right. Anything else felt off. If they weren’t with each other, they just weren’t themselves.
They both knew this, and they felt LOVE AND APPRECIATION AND DEVOTION AND GRATITUDE easing out of every single pore in their bodies. At that point, and maybe even before, they wanted to stay with each other as long as possible. They couldn’t bare to say goodbye.
They want to stay together forever, andVictor even joked about marriage, although at this point I’m pretty sure it’s a wish of his, and he was just throwing Yuri hints.
It’s sad to see that they’re giving Yuri’s skating career their main connection to one another. It almost makes it seem as though they HAVE to part. Like no, if you want to be together stay with each other no matter what!!
I absolutely love that hugs display so much affection in this anime. It’s not always blatant sex, or sensual kisses. They enjoy the little things, that ooze so much love it leaves you feeling mushy. Forehead touches, hugs, kisses on the fingers and or feet. All we need now is a forehead or cheek kiss!
Anyways, this ended up being super long but this episode made me so excited, gosh.
