It was unusual for him to drink this much, particularly in public. Heâd usually keep it for private parties, or when he was alone with a person or two. But for someone reason, perhaps the fact he was expected to socialize with traitors and muggleborns, Evan indulged in more alcohol than he should have. So, his judgement was clouded at the moment, and he could not be bothered by blood status or where everyone stood anymore. âWell, I donât see anyone half as beautiful as you. Or anyone Iâd be delighted to see.â He commented with a small shrug, only taking a quick glance around. Apart from a few uninteresting, and clearly much older, people, there was only them in the corner, and he didnât fail to notice that. âI can only imagine what beautiful name youâVe been given.â
Charlie was never a drinker, on the rare occasion theyâd accept a fluke of champagne out of respect toward the host offering. Not that Charlie was often at occasions like this, but it did happen. This, however was much different, from where they were standing it was easy to see just how tense some people within the crowd were, hesitant in talking to anyone, really. The chaos of the war seemed to be pushing everyone away from people, understandably so, but still a sad sight to witness from a bystanderâs point of view.Â
âThat, oh, how much have you had to drink exactly?â the redhead glanced up from their bottle of water, always having learned it was best not to drink anything at social functions. âYour eyesight might be just a little off.â They added, soft nude pink lips pursed together in a thin line, studying the other intently. It was easy to pick up on the small, hidden details when people were intoxicated, they often made little effort at trying to hide their true selves. â Do you always speak to otherâs in such a way? Doesnât it get tiring putting up an act?â They questioned softly without a second thought, figuring each of his mumbled words to be nothing more than the alcohol trying to charm them into his pants. While Charlie wasnât a social butterfly, they werenât completely clueless in the ways the world worked. â But if you must know, my name is Charlie, nothing too special about it.âÂ

What was their family like?: Charlize knows nothing about their biological parents, as their mother died shortly after birth, and the father couldnât bare raising a child that resembled its mother so much on their own. So, Charlie has never truthfully had a family, but life in the orphanage wasnât great, nor was life with their adopted family when they were placed in a new home, so they havenât had a great experience, but they havenât let it impact them too greatly. Â
What was it like growing up?: Charlie had very few things to look back positively on when thinking back to their childhood, it wasnât a great time. But they found companionship in a few people, as well as the animals and creatures they found, connected to.
What were their school life like?: A bit better, but only a bit. They didnât get along with most, or more so, most found Charlie to be odd, and often bullied them, for a while they cared, but eventually they blocked it all out and moved forward.
How did they decide to do this job?: It was never a question, Charlie always wanted to work with magical creatures, so when the opportunity popped up, they said yes instantaneously.
Write about at least one important event in your characterâs life:
  It was late, the otherâs in the orphanage had gone to sleep, yet Charlie couldnât. Knowing that the day that came would be no different to the oneâs that had passed, they dreaded going to sleep as it only ever resulting in waking up to a new day in hell. But that night, as everyone else was fast asleep, Charlie took it upon herself to get some exploring in, creeping out of the quaint room they shared with many others. Eventually the path led them to a dusty handle, and Charlize made the effort to force it open.
Fast forward an hour later and Charlie had found themselves a sanctuary within the hell hole, and not only that, but a few birds had claimed the place as their own. It didnât take long for Charlie to discover they had a special connection with the animals that appeared, eventually learning they were able to talk to them.

How often do they use Muggle technologies?: Not too often, it depends on the piece of technology, Charlie admittedly loves using the internet to learn more about creatures, myths, etc. But theyâre not all that phone of things such as phones, social media, etc.
Raising the glass to his lips, Evan only took a brief sip from it, observing someone from over his glass. Truth be told, heâd been observing them for a while, only waiting for the opportune moment to make his move. And when it finally came, it was with a smirk that the man moved through the crowds and stood in front of them. âWhat a delightful surprise to see you here.â
The redhead was never known to be fond of events that required a great deal of socializing, often making up quick excuses to get out of them. But that evening, their brother had done a great deal in convincing Charlie to go, it was New Yearâs Eve after all. Still, the charade of it all lacked an appeal to the redhead, because aside from a new year rolling in, few things changed with the start of a new year. Yet, there they were, remaining towards the wall and avoiding getting lost in the crowd with a glass of something sweet in hand.Â
Not expecting much socializing at all, Charlie was taken aback by the male making his way toward their general direction, quickly shooting a gaze around to see if it was possible he was headed to someone else, their cheeks colored a crimson shade. âAre you certain you have the right person?â They questioned, confusion evident in her voice.Â
âWELL, are you going to stop staring and actually come and dance with me, or am I going to have to drag your arse to the dance floor myself?â
" I, oh I hadn't meant to, JULIET?â the redhead nearly shrieked out as eyes caught a glimpse of their best friend from school. There were few people from Charlieâs days at Ilvermorny that stuck, at least in a positive way and Juliet was most certainly one of them. Aside from their older brother, theyâd always considered Juliet to be the closest thing they had to a best friend. âYou know Iâm not much of a dancer, I just had to be absolute certain it was you, itâs been much too long.âÂ
âCan you believe my Tinder date stood me up? On New Years, nonetheless. I suppose that means no midnight kiss for me, unless youâd like to volunteer.âÂ
" That's quite an unfortunate thing, perhaps something came up. It couldnât hurt to check in, make sure theyâre doing alright? â Charlie suggested in a soft whisper, cheeks flushing a bright crimson at his alternate suggestion. â Oh no, thatâs quite alright, not that I donât think youâd be a good kisser, Iâm just not the kissing type, you see. Iâm sure you will find someone though, if itâs that important to you.â Â
