This is an Atari 2600 S-Video, CVBS, Stereo and Pause Mod for the Atari 2600. All you do is remove the TIA chip from the socket, and solder headers to the bottom of the AV board and dropin the board. Then solder wires between all the panel mount connections. I recommend using the Longhorn Engineer panel mount template on his website here Here is an except from my OSHPark project page where you can get the board. It works simply. And while untested (which is why it’s free) I have no doubt that itll work
This is a dropin version of Batari’s S-Video Mod schematic (The best Atari video mod im my opinion). The pause mod portion was designed by Victor Trucco.
Notes: The FMS6410 can be substituted with the FMS6400 or ML6428. I already routed 5 volts to ASEL (pin 2) on the FMS64XX so there’s no need to jump it yourself.
The FMS6406 is NOT compatible with board. You will fry the chip if you use the FMS6406
The TIA chip goes on the bottom header row
Jump the RDY Pad if you do not wish to use the Pause Mod. In doing so, you may leave the pause mod unpopulated. C1 & R1 are still required for audio.
