Women aren’t going on a sex strike because they dislike Trump. They’re doing it because some of his most ardent right wing supporters tweet things like ‘your body, my choice,’ and aren’t even pretending to see women are human beings anymore.
Why should any woman have sex with somebody who sees them as nothing more than an incubator?
But what should I expect from a right wing trash rag?
That first comment is a perfect example of why your political beliefs need to be more thoughtful than "the opposite of whatever my conservative christian parents think must be good." Because, putting aside the obvious pornbrained misogyny for a second (no one is using abortion as a primary form of birth control; it's expensive and very unpleasant), I have seen the argument that "4b is conservative because it's encouraging women not to have sex before marriage!" And first, as Pineapple said, no it's not--it's encouraging women to reject men altogether. Being married won't save you from dying in childbirth and plenty of married men voted for Trump.
But even if it was, why would that matter? Even if the idea of a sex strike was conservative, would you go get pregnant and die in an anti-abortion state just to own the alt-right? Stop worrying so much whether feminists are "siding with conservatives" (we're not, btw; there's a big difference between "having sex before marriage lowers your worth as a female" and "having sex with men is unsafe in places where abortion is banned") and worry more about protecting yourself from men who would gladly risk your life to ensure their own sexual pleasure.
And regarding the "transphobia" accusations. If someone claims that your refusing to fuck/date/marry/have kids with them is a hateful violation of their rights, please ask yourself what rights they think they're entitled to.

my heart bleeds everyday for the afghan girls and women. they are housebound and have to cover themselves up from top to bottom because they have to "avoid temptation or seduction". they are not allowed to speak in public or appear in public because it is deemed "too intimate." the women can’t look at men. suicide rates have skyrocketed because women and girls would rather be dead than to be a women in afghanistan. it’s not a sin to be a women.
women and girls are denied access to healthcare because they cannot be treated by male doctors, yet they are also barred from education and, therefore, cannot become doctors themselves. shops in afghanistan are even forced to cover up female mannequins. little girls live in fear of becoming child brides, but they dream of being poets, they would kill to get education.

we must raise awareness, do not look away. these women deserve the opportunities and the human rights that EVERY person does. they are talented, creative and intelligent but men are so scared. scared of women. the taliban tries to erase women. i’m sick. remember: it’s not islam or "just their culture", it is the radical government that feels threatened by women. do not look away.
Just saying that when these token black boys attempt to other themselves from black people they usually target black women to degrade and stereotype. Many of them are complicit in the abusive treatment black girls face in majority white schools.
Something a lot of non black people don’t understand is that the reason black boys fit in better is because they are taught to look out for themselves and only themselves. Black women were raised to destroy ourselves for the community while black men were told it’s okay to destroy the community if it benefits them. This is why we have such a massive single mother problem, black men are told it’s okay for them to abandon their children and create dysfunctional gender dynamics in black communities. Why? Because it allowed them to roleplay as Sultans and enjoy unrestricted sexual freedom.
Issues like this are why black womanists/feminists are starting a movement to help young black women develop a sense of self preservation skills. Many of us have opened our eyes to this fact but far too many black girls are still in the dark. This is what black women mean when we’re talking about intersectionality and why many are taking the “woman first, black second” approach to their indentity.
Most Black women don’t have a desire to be white or to be in white spaces. We’re just not swayed by the allure that Black men have, which is proximity to whiteness.

I was friends (not close, but friends) with a muslim Palestinian refugee woman in undergrad and she was kind of like this except by "not depending on the relationship escalator" I mean she was in a consensual arranged engagement to her first cousin. In a case of such magnitude it is an unusual decision, not least because it means thousands of videos of the alleged rapes filmed by Dominique Pelicot - in some cases surreptitiously - will eventually be played in open court.
Gisèle’s only request was that her children be allowed to leave the room when that happens.
Her legal team said opening up the trial would shift the “shame” back on to the accused.
Above all, the case has ignited a painful – and often uncomfortable – discussion about rape that many in France say is long overdue.
Protests were due to be held across the country on Saturday “in support of Gisèle Pelicot and of all rape victims”.
When Gisèle gave evidence that she had to “start over from scratch” and was now only living off a small pension, an influencer set up an online collection that made €40,000 (£33,700) in under a day. It was quickly shut down following a request from Gisèle’s legal team, who saw it as a possible distraction.
One key issue this case has thrown up is the little-discussed phenomenon of chemical submission – drug-induced assault in the home.
In 2022, 1,229 people in France suspected they had been drugged without their knowledge, according to Leila Chaouachi, a pharmacist at the Paris addiction monitoring centre and an expert on drug rape.
That number is probably “only the tip of the iceberg”, she believes. Victims often hesitate to file legal complaints because they know the assailant, they might be ashamed, or they have hazy memories of what happened.
For the 10 years her husband was drugging her, Gisèle Pelicot had unexplained neurological symptoms as well as gynaecological issues, and yet no-one put the clues together.
What has shocked so many in France is the sheer number of men involved in the case.
Police were only able to identify 50 suspects out of the 83 that appeared in Dominique Pelicot’s videos.
Their ages range from 26 to 68 and they hail from all walks of life - firefighters, pharmacists, labourers and journalists. Many are fathers and husbands.
Of the other men accused, 15 admit rape, but all the others admit only to taking part in sexual acts.
“What shocked me even more is that so many men could have done this - more than 50 ‘normal’ men, who all lived nearby,“ said Caroline, a 43-year-old doctor from Paris.
"It demolishes the myth of the rapist who is a psychopath… they raped because they were sure of their impunity.”
Another concern that has not escaped the large numbers of women across France who are following the Pelicot case is that many other men knew and did nothing.
Dominique Pelicot had invited men to have sex with his wife “without her knowledge” in a post on the Coco.gg website, which was shut down only last June. Last year it counted 500,000 visitors a month.
“One hundred per cent of these people… never made a phone call to stop this abuse,” says Céline Piques. “Not one man thought about informing the police of these criminal facts.”

Specifically, it was indigenous women who freed their village from oppressive forces. From loggers to kidnappers to police, all of them were run out because these women armed (and masked) themselves, took hostages, and threatened to kill them.
Since this day, five years ago, they’ve begun to repair the forest that was destroyed by loggers over the decades. They’ve successfully revived 3000 acres! And because there is no more crime, all citizens feel save roaming the streets at night, and exploring the vast forest they’ve become responsible for.
