The weather can be enjoyed another time, she decides then. Nicolas’ words are convincing, and in general, she trusts his judgement in regards to Worick and his behavior. Its a bit of a shame, honestly, Alex is quite fond of the hours of the day when the sun is warm and makes the concrete beneath her just as cozy; when there’s quiet noises of people in the distant, but no one talking to her. It feels peaceful in a sense that one find peace in the quiet sounds of a city, as much as this one was damned. Her eyes fall from the deaf man beside her, looking up for a moment at the sky, and she turns back to him after a few seconds.
❝You’re probably right.
Let’s go in, then.. Would you like some tea?❞
Her smile from before returns, plump lips upturned as a gesture of kindness and an attempt to invite closeness– or a shy one, anyway. ( Though, it’s hard to say if Nicolas will take such invitations; it’s understandable if he doesn’t, but it there nonetheless. )
ah, there it is again. it causes the twilight to feel just a little light-headed, barely enough to notice it. it’s weird how something so simple and casual can make one feel this way. nicholas knows, it’s out of the ordinary for him and just maybe he should see doctor theo again; he might be coming down with something. he gets up, albeit a little shaky, and straightens his clothes some before signing something back at alex,
【i’m fine with just water.】tea is a huge no-go. he’d rather drink coffee.
