Summary: Sam could not just leave Gabriel behind in that hotel when he realized that Gabriel had meant to sacrifice himself to give them enough time to escape. What he found lying on the floor would change the entire rest of the Apocalypse.
Is Gabriel ready for just how drastically different his life is going to be when a certain hunter nearly breaks at seeing his supposedly dead body? How will the Archangel-In-Hiding change the tides of his Father's plan to keep his human safe and out of the Cage?
"Gabriel, you're awake!" Oh, bless his Father, the human was still controlling the level of his voice even through his apparent excitement. "How are you feeling?" He was taken aback by a hand on his forehead as if to check his temperature. That did not make sense, unless…
"Have I been delirious?" Oh Father, please let him not have told Sam anything too crazy.
"Yeah, a bit, but don't worry, you didn't say anything too crazy." He could see a slight smirk on the hunter's lips and honestly did not know whether or not to believe him. "It's been five days since we got here, by the way. You've woken up about twice a day and asked for a candy bar. The first one you threw at me because apparently they are an abomination and you were going to rewrite time to make sure that they never existed."
He could see the smirk on Sam's face, but now the human knew of his deep hatred for Snickers. A groan escaped his lips as he buried his face in his hands.
"I've hated Snickers since they came out, but they were an instant success, and even my powers weren't enough to make them disappear." He heard laughter coming from the human and sighed heavily.
