Last day of my secondary school teaching career! Meet the reason I joined Teach For Malaysia, my students. They are the ones who have given me enough material to last a lifetime of therapy! Funnily enough, they are also the ones who make me want to wake up most mornings. My two years went by in a flash because of that. Sure, there were some really rough times (see above note on therapy). But overall, they were my reason. And they have given me purpose. Because when I head into new adventures in the future, I will always remember the stories, faces and lives of Khairi, Francis, Roga and all my other students. I don't think I can ever forget them regardless of how successful or not I become. They will always guide me to think of issues beyond mine. I leave with a very heavy heart. But with my chin up. I am more certain these days about who I am and I'm the person I want to be. Here's onward to new seas!
