The Memory Book is a creative high-tech form to store your memories in this post-digital life. It allows you to save the life stories of you and your friends, partners, and everyone and everything that matters in your life by images and videos you have posted in social media. Whenever you feel like to look into the past, the memory book leads you to that particular point in your life, gives you the chance to revisit, truly relive everything at that time, both emotionally and touchingly. The concept of the memory book is shown in this short video, which is created by video editing software. My original idea to create the memory book comes from our daily life. Way too much information is rushing through that it is hard to keep track of whatās important and what actually matters. A memory book recording the information may be a nice way to keep us aware of who we are, and where we came from, and all those sweat or sour moments in our lives.

For class today, we discussed various case studies, including thisisamagazineĀ andĀ Badlands UnlimitedĀ (sells digital files for $300ā¦). Some of us shared our ideas and Iām glad I did as well, because discussing my project with the rest of the class gave me more ideas on how I could experiment more in terms of the presentation of material. Gaining feedback from them also helped validate my idea. Zoe and Luca tried some of my edible paper (I hope they didnāt get food poisoning).Ā Ā

Input, Tools, Process, Output
Today, we presented our prompt to the class andĀ further discussed it with each other. Mine was āA book about cyborgsā but Andy suggests it could be more interesting if I were to change it toĀ āA book for cyborgsā.Ā
āA book for cyborgsā certainly allows me to make my book more experimental. There are a range of cyborg proliferation in todayās society such as, cyborgs in medicine, cyborgs in military, etc. But what I want to focus on are cyborgs as artists/ cyborg art (such as Neil Habrisson, whom Iāve mentioned in previous posts). Cyborg artist creates art with their ānew senseā and I guess I could explore in that direction where maybe we could taste words or how we experience text without reading it (communicating without words or language), or even the translation of thought to words or language.Ā
We also had to write down our input, tools, process and output. At this stage Iām not exactly sure what my input is yet but Iāll be experimenting with making āedible paperā during the midsem break.Ā
