"Where my story begins... is where yours ends!~"
*Dorothea Ashbury, the "Cinderella" is here! Be careful survivors!*
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Ashbury,
First, allow me to apologise for everything that’s happened to both you and your family. I truly cannot imagine living in your position, and I have nothing but respect for your unwavering determination in seeing your children to good health.
Your son has been recovering quite well. The blood transfusions were successful, and he recently awoke with, for what we can tell, a sane mind. Occasional bouts of delusions still haunt his psyche, but it’s nothing we cannot work with.
Sadly, I cannot say the same for your daughter. Her self-inflicted mutilations were rather difficult to contain, but we have managed to get her into a semi stable condition. Her mind, however, seems to be broken beyond any conceivable repair. While we are trying our hardest to find a suitable treatment for her psychosis, we have decided to move her to a more secure position, to avoid her harming herself or others to any further extent. The harm she has caused to doctors and nurses here at the clinic cannot be ignored, as much as I want to help her. I must protect the lives of my colleagues before anything else. For clarification, please contact Officer Morris and Officer Hawthorne at the Langbourne Police Station.
Thank you for your understanding,
Dr. Appleton
…
There was a small sniffle coming from around the corner as a small, grey haired girl stumbled, limping on a cracked, ball joint ankle.
She looked… oddly familiar, with that grey hair and those purple eyes.
“Ow… ow… is anyone there…? Ow…”
( @experimental-blueprints sighs. I can’t believe the wheel has done this!/ref )
*The woman rolled slightly closer in her wheelchair, an eyebrow raised as she gazed upon the sight. A wounded deer stood before her. Was she worth her time to entertain her? It was hard to tell, she didn't exactly have a consistent moral code...*
"Hm? Oh, you poor thing! What happened to you, you look hurt! Here, lean on the back of my chair, take some weight off your foot..."
The young girl fumbled a bit, her frightened features focusing on the wheelchair bound woman. She leaned against the wall for a moment, wiping clear tears from her face.
“I-I…”
She shook her head, and then, with the odd woman’s permission, leaning against the chair, slightly.
“There was a man who shoved me into a dark room and tried to attack me… and I broke my ankle joint when I-I fell….”
Then, wiping more tears, she continued.
“My… my friend saved me, and told me to run… I ran as fast as I could but… it hurts… thank you for letting me lean on your wheelchair, Miss. What’s your name, if you don’t mind me asking?”
*Hmm... she seems trusting. Let's keep her for now. It would be a shame to take out such an easy kill, when the asset it brings could be far more valuable...*
"Oh my, that's horrible! Who on earth would attack an innocent girl like yourself? And who was your friend that helped you? I must properly thank them, after all! Come now, let's get you to my room where you can rest properly, it's not too far from here. Trust me, I know more than anyone about having your legs not function properly. I was born without working feet, after all."
*Leading her back to the room, she heard the question of her own name, and smiled. Perfect.*
"My name is Cinderella. It's a name I'm quite fond of, you see. I would say it's a name that matches the heart and soul of one like myself~"
Contract followed Cinderella quietly, listening to her, answering the questions as they came up.
“His name is… Henry Bianchi, I think. He’s a dollmaker from Italy, one who’s trying to turn himself into a doll. Weird stuff.”
“And my friend. His name is Samson, I call him Sammi for short. He can fight and fight really well but I’m still worried for him.”
And then, she paused, then shook her head.
“I’m sorry, but uhm… I don’t feel comfortable going into a room right now. I mean, I nearly had my head taken off while forced alone in a room. I… hope you can understand that.”
Then Contract’s eyes fell onto Cinderella’s appearance, a small nod. A small hologram of Bianca materialized on Contract’s shoulder, expressing a small bit of disappointment while wagging a tiny nub in the bigger girl’s face.
“Ah, Cinderella? That’s a pretty nice name, and you certainly match the part. Huh? Hey, what are you doing- Bi?”
"Ah, I see! I'll certainly have to keep that in mind then, I don't think I've heard of either of them before~ I'm certainly not much of a fighter myself, so I certainly do respect someone that can..."
*She felt like she might throw up saying that, but she continued. Hearing that she wouldn't want to come to her room, she sighed a bit, but continued to smile.*
"Oh, I understand perfectly well, dear. Please, you don't need to worry at all, you don't have to go anywhere you don't wish to. Tell me, is there somewhere I can take you where you'll feel safe? A trusted friend or confidant if possible?~"
“Oh, uhm. Apparently Henry’s new to the manor. He’s really tall, and his hair is orange and he wears a bunch of masks and he’s super tall. And has doll limbs instead of normal ones. He’s weird, you should keep an eye out to make sure he’s not around, Miss Cinderella!”
Contract reached up, gently pushing the nagging hologram down with a singular finger.
“And Sammi… the manor wants him to be a hunter for their games but I don’t know if he accepted that offer yet…”
Then, Contract paused, mumbling to herself quietly. The tiny hologram was pointing to the room and making an x with their tiny arms. ‘Don’t go into a room with her’ it signaled.
“Do you think maybe… we could go outside, to a place with a lot of air? I only really have two friends here and… I don’t want to bother them with something as silly as me freaking out. Maybe like a garden or something?”
"Oh, I see, I see! Well, I appreciate the information, dear! It's quite sweet of you to give me a heads up~"
*She smiled sweetly, playing with her hair a bit as she nodded at her.*
"Oh, of course! Let's go to the gardens so you can sit down and take a rest to heal up, alright? And I'm sure your friends wouldn't be bothered, wouldn't they want to know you're healing? Tell me, who are they? Maybe I know them and I can let them know you're ok~"
“Just… trying to do my part ^^”
She smiled softly. Then, tucking her hair behind her head, she paused, and then mumbled.
“Thank you… I can probably help push your wheelchair, so you don’t have to roll us all the way there.”
Upon being asked about her friends, the hologram paused, before bringing up a tiny hologram of a certain avatar and gogo dancer in front of Contract’s face, so the Cinderella wouldn’t be able to see. Then, she put her small nub against Tatya’s face, a small check mark ✔️ appear by her face with a green “safe” underneath it. However, putting her small nub over Brendan’s face, a red x mark ❌ with the words “don’t mention” underneath it. And an even tinier “trust me”.
Contract paused, and then nodded.
“Well, the first person who comes to mind is Miss Tatya! She’s the… gogo dancer, if I remember correctly. She’s very nice! I uh… last time I saw her… she was in her room. As for my other friend… ah… I’m sorry, I can’t remember their name. It was… S something.”
"Oh my, it's quite kind of you to offer, but all you need to do is hold onto my chair and take as much weight off that foot as you can! It would be unfitting of a princess such as myself to cause you more harm than you are already experiencing..."
*At the name of her friend, she smiled and nodded.*
"Oh! I've met Tatya before, she's quite lovely and has such a wonderful sense of dress! However, you can't remember the name of your other friend? Oh dear... when your foot was hurt, did you fall and hit your head perhaps?"
“Huh? Are you sure? Well, if you say so.”
…
“Actually, I did. I bumped my head on a metal table leg. It wasn’t very hard, but… oh, I’m sure I’ll remember it soon.”
…
“Do you have a favorite place outside? Like, the gardens or the lake, or something like that?”
"Oh my! Well let's make sure you rest up well, ok dear? Come now, follow me. We'll go to the flower gardens and you can get some fresh air."
*She smiled and nods, making sure the injured animal is able to follow her. Her urges are strong, but she knows this will be more beneficial in the long run.*
"I tend to avoid the lake or vegetable gardens when I can. Not that they aren't lovely, they certainly are. But... well, there's someone in this manor who's trying to hurt me, and those are places that he frequents. But enough about me, let's focus on your healing right now~"
Contract nodded, following Cinderella as she strolled. Listening to her talk, Holo Bianca say on Contract’s shoulder, a grumpy little expression on her face.
“Someone’s trying to harm you..? Oh my… that’s rather cruel.”
She paused, unsure whether or not to ask, blinking in surprise when the hologram once again created an x with her arms.
…
She wasn’t sure what part of Dorothea’s statement she was saying no to, though.
“I… I’m not that big of vegetable gardens myself. I once found a half buried, rotting corpse there, it haunts my dreams even to this day.”
"Oh yes, it's quite cruel isn't it? I always feel him watching, stalking me. He even killed my poor, sweet younger brother. And it seems that I'm next..."
*She... Ok I can't do this anymore like I try to be a good narrator but she even makes me sick and I'm the guy who trapped Brendan in an alternate universe. Her brother isn't even dead. And even if he was she doesn't even care about him. God.*
"If you'd like, I can tell you his name so you could keep an eye out as well? You seem like quite a trustworthy person to me...~"
An expression of concern appeared on her face.
“O-Oh my… uhm, of course. Go ahead.”
Meanwhile, Holo Bianca looked towards the imaginary camera, looking extremely… extremely unimpressed.
*And she said his name. Because of course she did. You know who's name she said. He's the one who ruined everything. He was the one who didn't belong. He was never supposed to be there, and even though her death was at the hands of someone else... her rage about 'fairness' was always going to be first.*
"It's Brendan Watterson. They call him the Avatar..."

What do you say? Mind bringing the both of us to that room over there? It's where I have my equipment~ Oh, and you should lock the door behind you so we don't get interrupted~
“Oh sure!” Jax grabs the back of the wheel chair and starts bringing the two over to the room in question.
He looks around. “You know, it’s a shame this place is full of crazies. It’s actually kinda nice. Could probably sell for a fortune.”
He walks over to the door and locks it.
Oh dear, that's very true, now then, just turn around and-
*...Oh. That's glass. And his throat. Oh dear. Well, uh, at least she has a massive smile on her face.*

"Hunter, I have come to bargain." -@ask-idv-philosopher
Oh? And what are you here to bargain about, dear? And please, I do have a name. It's rather dehumanizing to be called Hunter, wouldn't you agree? It's like me calling you Victim~
He just stood in place and tilted his head. "Huh...I didn't think I would get this far. So I kind of had no plan and made a reference to a movie I like. I suppose that you could give me information on the hunters and the manor. It would be very helpful to me. I am sure that you just love helping people!"
Aw, it seems you're mistaken~ A princess like me wouldn't have any reason to help a common peasant for nothing. So tell me dear, what is it that you'll offer me in return? If it's good enough for my standards, I just might let some information slip~
"So a princess, someone who could pretty much own everything in her country, doesn't want to help a poor person like me? I don't see what you have to gain from a "peasant like me." He was noticeably sarcastic in tone. "So..." Theodore took a chair "...what are your terms?"
Are you expecting me to come up with what you're going to offer? That's just silly, don't you think? You're the one who came to me with a supposed deal. The fact that I've given you attention at all for this long should be the greatest honor you've ever achieved. It is your own responsibility to be prepared, dear. Now then, if you don't have your own deal in mind, I have places to be~
