Who do you think is the strongest SSR? In terms of skill and attributes and things

Oooooh that’s a hard one...  It’s not as clear cut as it can be in other TCG!  A lot of it has to do with the rest of your team, since the center skills are a lot more varied.  It also depends on if you’re going for a scorer team, trying to nab a FC, or just trying to survive a song...  Let’s assume a high score!  The other two, you just gotta git gud.

Generally, I feel like the center skills that boost a specific appeal by 90% are the best!  This rules out cards that raise all appeal by 30%, or cards that raise life by 30%.  Skill wise, Score Bonus and Combo Bonus are considered the best, though you do have to keep in mind that multiple types of the same skill do not overlap!  Only the best one works.  This rules out Perfect Locks and Healers, as well... Though Perfect Locks do still have their place and are more useful than a Healer.

Theeeen there’s the appeal!  Thankfully there are no hidden quirks with this.  Highest appeal is best appeal.  There does seem to be a trend though; the cards that boost a specific appeal by 90% tend to have lower overall appeal than the ones that boost all appeal by 30%.

So, who do I think is the bestest?

Cute: Anzu (good skills and decent appeal), Uzuki (meh center skill, but amazing appeal and skill)

Cool: Ranko (good skills and decent appeal), Minami (good skills and decent appeal), Rin (meh center skill, but amazing appeal and skill)

Passion: Kirari (good skills and decent appeal), Mio (meh center skill, but amazing appeal and skill)

To be quite honest though... an SSR is an SSR!  If you’re at the point where you’re trying to figure out which SSRs should make it on your team and which shouldn’t, you are far more of a whale than I will ever be and I applaud you.  And if you’re looking to reroll to get a good SSR, either go with Best Girl or any card that isn’t a healer.

you know when you play a song and you can decide between using 1x energy or 2x energy? do you get 2x the reward or is it still the same? is it better to play the 1x energy?

So!  The 2x play is a little confusing, tbh.  What you get are 2x the tokens!  For 2x the stamina!  However, you still get 1x rewards; gold, fans, exp, items.... AND event points.  Yup.

This means that, if you were to play a 10 stamina song that’d get you 50 tokens, the 1x play would net you 50 tokens and 50 event points.  The 2x play would get you 100 tokens, but only 50 event points.

That is a pretty big difference!  If you were looking to super hardcore rank on the event (like, top 2000 hardcore, if not higher) the 2x play would make more sense from purely a speed standpoint, and at that point you probably aren’t concerned about the amount of star jewels you’re spending to make up the deficit.  But for just casual play, and if you have the time, I’d stick with the 1x play!

Do you know any way to buy Star Jewels on Android? When I click the buy star jewel icon it makes me input a 9 number code.

It’s asking for your birthday!  Depending on your age, they have a limit on how much you can spend on the game per month.  I can’t seem to find that info since I’ve already descended into idol hell, but I can confirm that being 23 means you have no limits on spending!  My guess is that if you’re 21 or older, you won’t have any limits set.

Since we’re probably gonna end up with some more SSRs in a few hours (when the current SSR gacha ends!), let’s play a game!!!!  Games are fun!!!

Sorry to bother you but i'm new to this game and I was just wondering if this SR Saori card is rare/good at all? I mean i'm not complaining about getting an SR for a solo pull but i'm just wondering since in my idol list screen it looks like my awakened Uzuki has more points than her?

It’s not a bother, that’s what I’m here for!  That Saori card is a pretty decent SR; do you have it awakened/leveled at all?  I’ve noticed that cards start out reaaaaally, reaaaaally weak, to the point where they’ve been a lot weaker than a lower rarity card.  At max level she should definitely be stronger than the Uzuki R.

How to procrastinate on existing as a human being, round one!

If you’re annoyed with how hard it is to check how many fans an idol has, try this out!  Mark off if you’ve reached the 2k and 10k milestones, and you’ll have a much easier time of it.  They’re even listen in order of how they’ll show up!

The milestones will unlock additional Memorials under the Idol Communication tab, provided that said idol has at least 1 SR (2k fans) and SSR (10k fans).  If an idol doesn’t yet have a higher rarity card, they won’t have those Memorials available, but if they ever receive an SR or SSR, you’ll be ahead of the game!

(And if I messed anything up please let me know…… This was my first time making a thing like this!)

Ayyyy, would you guys be interested in a google doc-esque thing to track your fan milestones?  that way you’ll have a slightly easier way to see which idols you still need to grind fans for!

Alrighty!!! Experiment done, and if you’re not in the mood to read a giant wall of text, just know this:

You don’t need to change your teams at all for the event.  Seriously.  It won’t matter.

Buuut, you wanna know why, right?  Let’s start!

The Setup

I decided to test out various teams and see how it affected my score and my applause meter.  Event points are only based on your score rank, so all I cared about there was getting an S rank.  Thankfully there is an added feature that lets you reroll your Groove, so I focused on Cool.  I made a total of 5 teams.

Team A: The automated team that it picks for you for this event! Team B: My regular team, which is the strongest cool cards. Team C: The strongest Vocal cool team, which included a non-cool card. Team D: A cool team with 1 SR and 4 Rs. Team E: A team with the 3 starter Rs, and two Rs that were non-cool cards.

The Stats

Before the actual groove, I looked at a few values for each team (wow, that makes me sound fancier than I am...) that I thought would be useful.  The overall appeal, the vocal appeal, and the vocal bonus.  So, in order, they were as follows!

Team A: 227393, 126985(+80529), +150% Team B: 237957, 122753(+77947), +150% Team C: 243686, 148256(+100735), +150% Team D: 228488, 130985(+88109), +150% Team E: 197605, 111013(+70147), +150%

As you can see, the strongest team was Team C, which was auto-picked according to the strongest Cool Vocals.  However, it’s a marginal difference even when compared to Team D.  Team E is by far the weakest, and was meant to kinda emulate a new account’s team.

But!!! They all have in common... +150% vocal bonus, which is the max bonus you can get.  Yup, even when I purposefully made a team that was supposed to be weak, it was enough to get the max vocal bonus.  Pretty sweet, huh?

The Songs

Alrighty!  Next up is the actual groove, right?  I played on Pro Difficulty, and played as I usually do.  Team A did get hampered by my bird trying to help me play, but otherwise my skill is pretty consistent.  There’s bound to be a bit of variation in terms of skill activation, though.  In this case, I was interested in the groove score, the applause meter, and the encore score.

Team A: 1303643 (S), 46.1, 406524 (S) (Encore sucked because of bird...) Team B: 1355362 (S), 46.8, 488834 (S) Team C: 1296250 (S), 44.9, 488011 (S) Team D: 1190469 (S), 42.1, 390744 (S) Team E: 1090063 (S), 39.1, 404123 (S)

Team B ended up being my strongest in terms of actual playing!  There wasn’t a huge difference between the first 3 teams, nor was there a huge difference between the last two teams.  However!  It was quite a bit harder to raise my applause meter with Team E, even though that was the team with the highest percentage of Perfects during the groove.

The Findings

Here are the screenshots of my data, btw!

No matter what team I used, I had no issues with S ranking the songs or getting a high enough applause meter.  Those are the only things that actually matter in terms of maximising your event points per play.  If you can S rank the groove and get a high enough applause meter, then S rank the encore, that’s all that matters.

If you’re looking to get a high score trophy, obviously you’d want to use a strong team, but I don’t think that the vocal bonus makes a big enough difference to warrant fussing over your team all that much.  Maybe if you have two cards that are close to the same overall appeal, but one has higher vocal stats, switch it out for that one!  But if you’re at that point, you probably put a decent amount of money into the game.

So yes!  Just use your regular teams.  It’s not really worth the hassle unless you want a high score trophy.

It’s bed time for me so no pics but.... Anya and Akane SSRs!!!!  Chinatsu and Kyoko are SRs, and some new idols they added are Hotaru Shiragiku, Nono Morikubo, and Hinako Kita!

Next event is gonna be another Live Groove Vocal Burst!  Play a medley of 3 songs and if you do well enough, you can play an encore song for even more event points.

Presumably we’re getting another Vocal Burst event because... the last one was broken.  The Vocal part of the event did not in fact function properly.

No word yet on when the event will be, nor which idol we’ll be fighting for.

Wait...I'm still confused as to how rerolls work? Does it delete all of your progress or..

Yes!!!!!  Rerolling is, effectively, making new accounts and doing a single draw.  If you like the results, you’re done!  If not... time to make another new account and trash the old one.
