TERMINATOR: Dark Fate (2019)
The sixth film in the "Terminator" series will pick up where the second film left off, ignoring all the subsequent sequels.
Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reunited in the trailer for the sequel, Terminator: Dark Fate. It's been 28 years since the couple last played together in the 1991 James Cameron hit, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. At that time, the Terminator franchise had released Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, along with two failed attempts to launch the trilogy (Terminator Salvation and Genisys), and a spin-off TV series (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) which was canceled after two seasons.
However, fans of Dark Fate hope that eventually it will reverse this trend. For one thing, this is the film Cameron's first Terminator involved in writing since Judgment Day, and the first to show Hamilton as Sara Connor in almost 30 years. The Dark Fate footage played on CinemaCon last month also went well, and director Tim Miller (Deadpool) arrived at a trailer shortly after. When a young woman named Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) finds herself being hunted by a new terminator (Gabriel Luna) from the future, maybe because she will be an important person in the war with the impending machine. The trailer then confirms that Dani's protector from the future, Grace's killer (Mackenzie Davis), is a kind of cyborg, because many fans speculate for a while.
Now it is also clear that Sarah's actions in Terminator 2, in fact, changed the future, because Judgment Day did not occur at the time the Dark Fate took place. What's more, Grace doesn't seem to know who Sarah was when she appeared to help them, which raises questions about what happened to John Connor (Is she still alive?)
