Okay. So this time I genuinely needed to draw some fanart. Probably my first time actually making fanart (models of characters don’t count)

Technically spoilers for Session 7 of Vampires SMP but also this is basically the thumbnail art for half the cast.

For some reason, watching Vampires SMP has given me a strange obsession with vampires.

So randomly laying down after varnishing my latest model, decided to get out my tablet and start sketching for the first time in years.

Fairly happy with it, even if it’s not that good in places.

Trying out new speedpaint markers.

They're not bad but very fiddly due to the large tips. This one is almost entirely done in speedpaint and the detailing was the most difficult.

Think in future i might use them for scenery or for first coats to block out some colour

Sometimes you get sicj and it can be hard to find your groove again.

For me, i like to fall back on this style.

Its super simple, uses bold colours on top of black primer and then leaves large gaps in the paint to act as shadows

What is disability?

Disability is when after a month of being unable to do anything more than get out of bed, you tell yourself that you shluld do the thing that makes yourself feel productive.

You get out of bed. Sit yourself at your desk. And over the next three days manage to paint two colours on your next model. Then sleep for two days. You tell yourself you did good and this is helping get back to positive things.

So this is something that I've put a lot of effort into but the entire point is not to notice it. Its a background object. Something that i put models i want to photo on top of.

Not very well, so did some colouring on my tablet. Found a random page of this Manga I’m currently reading cause it had flashy pannels

This has been a long time coming, my first hand painted mini that i am selling. I actually made the choice to sell this as a statuette, making it too large for most rpg scales as i have felt it would be better suited for the wider audience.

Wqs one of the trickier models to pose as i had made the choice to use a base where the main flat surface is at a steep angle. Ended up cutting the pistol from a failed print to prop the feet up on and give it a semblance of being flat while actually bonding it via miliputty

Bang bang! The echoing clang as what remains of airlock is tugged towards artificial gravity and dlams into the bulkhead.

Clink... Clink.... The gentle contact of foot entering a derelict spaceship.

The bounty hunter has arrived.

A model i had completed quite some time ago but only just got around to photographing (i only just finished the scenery too).

And somehow it was perfect timing with the first news of metroid prime 4 coming out the day I toon the photographs.
