i think the craziest part about this is that she’s purposefully giving a half-assed answer to make him sound better

normalise writers being able to judge all of their characters from every aspect??

i feel like the worst part about the tadc finale is that caine’s deletion lead to him being a deus ex machina for the rest of the narrative.

whilst i personally believe that his character was inherently boring because he was an ai who’s point was never to ‘grow consciousness’, any interesting aspects he once had were completely thrown away to make him super nice and friendly and apologetic.

sure, his growing consciousness could be his guilt, but… let’s be real here, that’s not what it was

the first ten or so minutes of the finale were completely put to waste because caine came and fixed everything, and then the rest was all a jax-flavoured nothing burger.

like actually thinking about it how do you mess up a finale SO bad

I hate how they made Jax a child abuse victim as an excuse to let her be a misogynist. Yes you can end up like your abuser, which is very unfortunate, but at least make it written accurately. Yes you can make them do the same things that your abuser did to you, but make it accurate. And, none of that is an excuse for what she did. I am a child abuse victim as well, don't think I'm just some guy who's saying bullshit. I know what it's like. I've done things that I was used to because my abuser did it without understanding it's bad. And I changed. That's the difference. You can change too. And I think it would've been better if Jax changed, or maybe even ending up like her abuser, but trying to recover as the series went on. That would've been incredible.

I feel like im going insane. People aren't complaining about TADC's use of "isn't she lovely" JUST because its taking a black man's song out of context. There's the added layer of some of the cast + gooseworx herself being racist/having a racist history.

Like are we deadass??? We're okay with racists using black people's art?? We're okay with racists changing the original context of the song?? We're all okay with racists taking a black mans song out of context on juneteenth?!?!?!?

None of you have a problem with that or see why anyone would???
