I've been searching for mine for years. Every discovery changes me.Every answer rewrites the questions i know to ask. I can no longer remember who i was before the journals.

Before the symbols. Before i realized that some discoveries don't reveal the truth they replace it. If there was ever a control group, i'm no longer part of it.

Entry 308 - Research Ethics

There comes a point, when every experiment requires consent. Every observation has a boundary. Every question must eventually ask whether it deserves An answer. That is how science protects itself. It reminds us that discovery without restraint is merely curiosity with better vocabulary.

The universe, however, has never shown much interest in ethics. It conducts its own experiments without permission. It observes without announcing itself. It changes the observer alongside the observation.

If i am honest, i cannot determine whether i chose this line of research or whether the research quietly chose me long before i believed the decision was mine. The consent form was never offered. Only the results.

The library closed hours ago. The lights went out. The doors locked. Yet I feel as though someone is watching me. The pages keeps turning on their own. Probably should have stay at the shack and work in the lab. Too late now.
