Our fear of provoking religious hatred has rendered us incapable of criticizing ideas that are now patently absurd and increasingly maladaptive.

Captain America Civil War Review
Includes spoilers. Some background information: I love Honest Trailers, and itâs nice the Winter Soldier movie passed the âhonest trailer testâ. Now, even though Captain America Civil War did not pass in my opinion, I feel like Captain America Civil War was better. So the big fight in the middle was long and dragged out and spider man wasnât that entertaining, the overall story was good.
The scarlet witch was a fantastic actress, as with vision. and their relationship was great. This is really all in relation to the main theme, where friends turn foe. We saw that with hawkeye and black widow. How do you deal with conflicting viewpoints. At one point I wept for humanity because thatâs just how humans are. If you disagree, you become my enemy sort of motto. Youâre either with me or against me. Now iâm just going to put it out thee that I am mostly Captain America. I kept thinking in my head how bad it was for the others to simply assume it was Bucky. I also agree in Captain Americaâs view of freedom, how can you blame the team for trying to save others? but then, I also understand how Iron Man/Tony felt. He wasnât just Iron Man, he was Tony Stark with a conscious, how ever arrogant he may be. And this is why i love this movie, ti wasnât black and white. In the end, after siding with Captain america for so long, I just realized, hey, Bucky was kind of an villain too... SO now both sides are despicable in a way...
Anyways, thanks for the geeking out read. Ps: what you go through all that and bucky gets frozen??? thatâs it...? yeah not honest trailer proof...
Palmeras en la nieve review
Iâve said it, and i guess iâll say it again. when i like something, i hold on to it for a looong time. Just look at my the host spam, but hereâs a movie review.
Palmeras en la nieve was awesome. I read a lot of the reviews for the book of the same name which the movie was adapted from, and apparently people complained about the problem of the colony not getting enough attention. Could be me not understanding the spanish in the book reviews, but I felt, especially as someone who has no history of spain or Africa, I certainly felt the pain of the people. And although it was confusing at first, (though again, it could be due to language barrier) I soon got to love the alternating story line and how both stories connect. I mean, it could very well be done with first the girlâs story then the brothers but instead itâs the back and forth. Spoiler: Iâm a bit confused, but I do hope Iniko is not Killianâs son. Else thatâs kind of like incest. Iâll give it a watch again to see which one was Killians son. Will definitely watch this again! (not just to figure out which brother is killians son)
Dark Matter!!!!
You guys have to watch Dark Matter by Syfy!!!
On episode 10:
I usually have so much to say, but this episode is wow! I love it when they bring in philosophy. And another thing I was entertaining myself with, is, what if you have a person who gets turned into a robot? technically it happens with brainwashing. What if in sci fi world someone gets implanted with a chip? Creators aside, technically we are all robots. Do you think we can override our own dna/biology? we are all 'programmed' to laugh when happy, cry when sad etc... but some people can control themselves. how much is born of programming and how much is oneself. what then, is the self? both for robots and humans.
Death parade
Not sure why, but I'm doing a lot of reviews. Anyways, this is a short review about an anime called death parade. Its not your mainstream romance or action genre like snk or our an highschool host club. Its a lovely anime about the darkness in humanity and death, but its done through the journey of afterlife. It is surprisingly emotional. Give it a watch
Tenemos que hablan movie review. I normally don't like foreign movies because the subtitles take my eyes away from body language which is important in a movie but also the style may be a bit different from good old Hollywood. That being said, this was absolutely hilarious. There was a part where the Mac was being mean to a waiter because she wanted to ditch her date. The waiter was Venezuelan and then her date calls her racist. Its funny but sad at the same time because to us they are all Spanish people, but that's how racism works. Others may see similarities but if there is any otherness we tend to group into us vs them. The movie was overall funny, I didn't like who she ended up with though. Spoiler, she stays with her husband.
Me Before you and after you
So I watched Me Before You, and somehow felt like reviewing it. I loved the cast. Emilia does a good job, and you simply forget her role in Game of Thrones. She was an entirely new person in Me Before You. The guy was pretty good too. Itâs funny how Emilia CLARKE is playing a clark. ahah Jokes aside, I also like the little moral in the story. (no, iâm not talking about the ending) When Clark in the movie said âi really need the moneyâ to me it was loaded with lessons. Clark needed money but she maybe did not realize how lucky she was to be able to walk. And Will, for all his wealth, had a grievance, to say the least. Thatâs it suppose. I loved Emilia in this movie. After you: I read the book after watching it because I could not find Me Before you (too many people borrowing the book probably) After you. The humour was great, and the British slang were not whelming. The humour and romance was a bit ridiculous, but hey, in the end it was the fairy tale type. The only problem I had with this book, was unfortunately major. Clark could not seem to say no to Lily. I felt like her character was a weak pushover. Thatâs just my personality I suppose...
First Nations...
Watching the Rio Opening Ceremony of the Olympics got me thinking... I have no idea the situation in Brazil, but I do know the problems in Canada. So I would just like to say something about that. Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, a man and his pregnant wife were living in a mansion with a farm. There was no one else for miles. One day, they saw a poor white chap living on their farm not knowing how to survive. So they invited him in and taught him how to farm and he was welcome to stay. Then the white man, once he learned enough, killed the man and kicked his wife out.
The wife gave birth to a child out in the streets. White chap also had kids. The child in the streets grew up asking why they donât live in the lovely mansion. âWasnât that yours before mom?â The white manâs kids in turn had kids and so on. The kid on the streets also had kids who in turn had kids and so on. Now, the descendants of the white man, say, âYou canât bring the past up, you canât kick us out, we have nowhere to go.â
Well exactly. How do the street people feel? In case no one got it, this is a metaphorical version of the situation between the first nations and the settlers. You say what the colonists did in the past is not an indicator of the traits of present day whites? Really? I have nothing against white people, but the white government sure is shitty. The âwhitenessâ still exists. The government, while not held accountable for the past, are held accountable for helping their people. Dammit. Just help why wonât you? Why build an Olympic stadium when you supposedly can only afford to give body bags to the damn reserves when people are dying? Whereâs the wonderful medical service Canada is supposedly so proud of. As an Asian immigrant I fully acknowledge this land as unceeded territory, and even though Iâm living here for âfreeâ I am going to do everything I can to help the aboriginals.

You cannot define what is or isnt...
One thing thatâs been on my mind is that when people say xxx group isnât xxx religion. And I gotta say, I disagree. You canât say Protestants are not real Christians or whatever. So yes, I do think that logic should also be applied to extremists, like ISIS. Yes, it gives Islam a bad name. But you know what I think? Rather than condemning them and say they are not associated with your religion just because they are bad, or even just against your views, why not ask ourselves the why. Why is it that Islam spawns these groups? People be saying Christianity/Islam/Hindu etc is so great, but then when these radicals come out, âoh no, they are not with us, see? we are still goodâ. Yes, turn a blind eye to the bad just to keep your image clean. So ask, why do x group spawn x types. Iâll admit atheist and agnostics arenât free from this either. Why does Christianity spawn homophobics to the point of homosexual killers? Why does Islam spawn extremist terrorist groups? Why does atheism spawn people who think they are smarter than anyone else? Dammit people... Damn myself for that matter,,,
Sometimes i think my url name is misleading

Zootopia:
I love the world too. I wish they would explain. like where are the aquatic mammals?or fishes? or birds? do they have their own city? what do carnivores eat then?if they realize they are animals, then does that mean humans exist????
