Love me a beast! This creature was fun to draw, I decided to give it some rocks to match its stripes for extra camouflage.Â

Here are the refs I cobbled together for Art Fight, figured I may as well post them here since this blog is a bit light on info of the characters anyway.
He seems like a fun loving guy but I decided to draw him in a quiet and contemplative moment, lightly inspired by his backstory.
Art Fight revenge on @ossuarei
This was a very fun drawing. I got inspired by the species design's sugar glider influence and the character's love for climbing.

I love this intricate biological design, it was challenging but very fun! I decided to lean into the bright colors and have this character just enjoy a nice sunny day.

Shapeshifter Beaker in their mightiest form yet I'm sure! I love shapeshifters. I also love budgies.Â
Art Fight revenge on Majikalmania
He was not invited to Art Fight.
Sorry, I struggle so much with the direction of this character đ
I'm joining Art Fight for the first time ever!
my profile
I've wanted to have a character that with a more flexible design that I'm more comfortable to enter into Art Fight and other art games. Ixiris in this worldbuilding project is a human construct, they're not a "real" character in the story, they're a character in the in-world mythos.
It's bug time.
Some invertebrates found in Ditovo.
1. Serot fly (a) and its larvae (b). The adult form are always upright like that.
2. Emerald braid-tail. A small carnivore.
3. Cirek small-beast. Named after its striped back.
4. Xivorea. A much smaller relative of the much larger and much more feared Ongvorea and Hexvorman, this species is exclusively a carrion eater not a predator. It's larvae (b) has a more translucent shell.
5. Red worm. Also a small scavenger that resides in the ground and emerges at the scent of spilled blood.
6. Pygb. Armored bug that eats decaying plant material.
7. Witch coin. It has great mobility and can move swiftly in any direction on the ground.
8. Imse. A domesticated invertebrate, it was originally kept as pest control but has become popular as a docile household pet that comes in many different shapes and colors.
9. Common pleasant fly. It feeds on nectar and creates nests from material it will bring carrying with its middle set of legs.
10. Lead fly. Swift little guy.

Hi, I was scrolling through tumblr and stumbled upon your blog! I love all your creature designs! And the lore youâve built around them is so interesting! I saw at the top of your blog youâre writing a graphic novel, if I may ask, what is the basic story that takes place in this world youâre building? Itâs okay if you donât want to share the details yet Iâm just very interested.
Thank you! I donât think Iâve really talked about the story much, though there are some posts with plot relevant info. Iâm currently still in the middle of it and Iâm a bit of a gardener type when it comes to writing (or maybe just inexperienced). Things may change. Here are the basics so far: A small group of people from two different government bodies; a hunter - Ariyet, a âNymph of Bonesâ (something in the vein of a mortician/priest) - Coccyx, and their respective assistants Ginan and Nesme are sent to the far edge of the city stateâs territory to investigate and put an end to these particularly vicious attacks by this species of intelligent animals known as cireks. Eventually it turns out that they are not regular beasts but cireks used by the local rebel forces gone rogue. Joining the hunt for the âstray troopâ is a wild cirek named Feral who searches for his friend he believes has joined them.
The corpse maid. The name comes from the old Ditovian practice of keeping these scavengers in a pool in the home for cleaning human corpses of flesh, a task so important the species is considered a sacred being or even a lesser god. Once all of the flesh has been consumed by these fish and only the pure skeleton remain the corpse maids are eaten in a ritualistic feast by the deceased's friends and family. However this practice, as well as keeping of corpse maids at all, is rare in modern times an only remaining among a few conservative noble houses.
Ditovian artifacts
A. Ditovian skull with white gold mending. The skull belonged to a person of importance from a wealthy family. Ditovians sacrifice the bones of their dead, while a complete skeleton is necessary for a ritual it's not a requirement for the bones to be intact as long as all parts are there. Those with the means however can opt to mend broken bones with white gold, as well as bleaching them, for a more appealing appearance.
B. Lady Green amulet. The Lady Green is an entity of the forest, a spirit or a lesser god you may encounter while traveling. She may help you find your way home or she makes sure you're never seen again, the amulet is to help you gain control of that fate. The Lady never shows her face to those she appears before, no matter how you turn she will always face away from you. The amulet however gives her a face of a precious stone in the color of the dark unknowable depths of the forest.
