Sorry but i automatically judge people in the MOGAI/LIOM/MAD community that include things like “people with paraphilias” or “pro-paras” in their DNI lists.
I get that a lot of it just comes from wanting to feel safe and comfortable with who’s interacting with them, and i’m not saying it’s wrong having personal boundaries or that people should ignore said boundaries, but, in my opinion at least, completely excluding an entire community of people from interacting with you feels kind of inconsistent with what these communities are supposed to be about.
The MOGAI, LIOM, and MAD community are supposed to be centered on rejecting the societal stigma around identity, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, disorders, etc, and supporting these marginalized communities, but sometimes it feels like that openness only applies when something is already easier for people to empathize with or label as “acceptable.” (Like how being an objectum is a completely acceptable and normalized paraphilia to have in these communities, but it’s frowned upon to have literally any other paraphilia.)
Especially because, just like with any other mental health condition or attraction, people don’t choose to have a paraphilia—nor does having a paraphilia automatically make someone a harmful person or an offender—which is probably why it rubs me the wrong way when so many people in these communities have paraphilias listed in their DNIs when it’s literally just another heavily stigmatized disorder, and instead of pushing against the stigma, they just end up recreating a different version of it aimed at a different group of marginalized individuals…
while I was doing sum research on paraphilias ( don’t ask mi why ) ,, I found a site that was a vvv in depth guide on different types of paras / kinks && the diff types of roles beings may play when doing these paras && like that ,, so naturally I looked if they had a page on necrophilia && ite just so happens 02 be that necrophilia was the ONLY para that wasn’t talked abt at all on that site
