I’m a big fan of Sentinels of the Multiverse (a cooperative board game where players form a team of superheroes and try to defeat a supervillain!), and felt like drawing some fanart for it. At the request of @firstagent, here's Tachyon, aka Dr. Meredith Stinson: scientist, speedster, and canonical wlw—plus, I’m pretty sure she was the first hero I ever played!
If anyone would like to see me attempt to draw another hero from Sentinels and has a suggestion for who it should be, I’ll happily consider it!
Finished version of the medieval besties, Antiope and Alesand! Complete with complementary-color friendship bracelets anklets they wove for each other, because I would love that for them. Betcha they braid each other’s hair, too!
I had a lot of fun making this because of how nostalgic it was, aside from the obvious thinking-about-childhood-best-friends reasons. Back in the day, I drew SO MANY gargoyle OCs in this exact wings-open/hand-on-hip pose, so revisiting it with a slightly better grasp of anatomy and proportions was a bit like coming home.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we get another miniseries set pre-994, someday. But in the meantime, these two are having a wide range of castle-based adventures in my head!
A couple of close-ups under the cut.
You may note that I modified Antiope’s outfit to match the simplicity of her brothers’ garb and the rest of the Wyvern clan’s style because the original was just. SO much fabric XD
Some more Gargoyles fanart of True, Hudson and Verity's third biological kid, who appears in the SLG comics. I drew this back in Sept/Oct 2024, and it's still one of my favorite pieces from this year. I tweaked her design a bit from how she appears in canon, so she shares a few more physical features with her biological parents. See also here.
This picture relates to a fanfic I'm (still) working on that I hope to finish someday. It’s about mourning. It’s about doing what you know is right in a time of overwhelming stress and uncertainty, and the love and empathy that can help keep a community together.
Today (April 27th) marks this blog’s anniversary, and I always like to draw some episode-relevant fanart to celebrate. Amazingly enough, we also hit exactly 100 followers near the beginning of Episode 52. I swear I don’t plan these things, but it amazes me how often those sorts of coincidences work out. No art giveaway this year, but I am planning something special for the end of the episodes/Haru’s birthday that will involve audience participation, so please look forward to that!
As for this blog, it’s been quite a journey. Enjoy the end of the series, everyone.
A piece from another zine I participated in a few years ago, this time celebrating Adventure 02! I wanted to make an illustration for my absolute favorite Digimon audio drama, Natsu e no Tobira/Door Into Summer. Not only does the drama have a beautiful and bittersweet original story, but it brings back Wallace (he even gets to sing!), AND it contains my absolute favorite song sung by Daisuke. It’s the best!!
I worked hard on the composition to try to give it a magical, ethereal feel. Hope you enjoy!
Turns out I never posted the full version of the piece I did for a zine celebrating Digimon Adventure Tri several years ago, so I might as well release it into the wild!
I chose to make a tribute to the Digimon Stage Play (yes, it was a real thing! The partner digimon were PUPPETS, and it was amazing!! <3). Featuring eight children, a camping trip, some space-time shenanigans, and a very mysterious, terribly strange and yet oddly familiar campground host... and wouldn't you know it, the action just happened to center around August 1. Happy Odaiba Day, and Happy 25 years of Adventure!
I decided to revisit a concept I started during @surviveweek (and reuse a prompt!), where I illustrate the non-canonical "Bad Endings" for Takuma I see in my head. You can see the first piece in this series here.
Technically this Bad Ending is not concluded yet, but it's going to take me a while to make a part 2. So feel free to speculate on what might happen in the meantime (mwahaha) >:)
Some more rambling under the cut!
This one is also based off of in-game dialogue, but from the beginning of Chapter 8 this time, when (SPOILERS!) Miyuki rescues Takuma from the Master's domain and they end up in the Real World. The Master’s quote is also from the game, though I think from a different section (might be the beginning of Chapter 4… but alas, I don't remember).
Other inspirations include Adventure/02, namely the scene of the Older Chosen getting kidnapped in Hurricane Touchdown (because OF COURSE that movie is on my mind all the time always, yes I really AM that predictable), and episode 24 of the original Adventure, where Koushiro has a run-in with Vademon. Digimon likes doing this sort of thing a LOT, doesn’t it?!
Relevant screenshots from the game for extra-thoroughness (emphasis mine):
Miyuki: And it's not just me. You were in danger just now too, Takuma.
Takuma: Do you mean that if I hadn't come to the light, away from the darkness...
Miyuki: You would have been captured, just as I was. No, I think you would have gone even deeper. All of your soul, life, and existence... gone.
Takuma: It really was a close call, then.
???: Power, knowledge... Existence, soul, heart... Bring them all... to me!
If two strangers (sirens) (wolves in sheep's clothing) whispered in your ear (with honeyed words) (with devouring certainty) of a way out, a path to ease the pain of guilt (filling your head with false obligations) (all it would cost is your life)… would you listen? Would you be swayed?
Would you see them (what they truly are) before it’s too late?
My piece for Survive Week, Day 2: Cooperation (Image description in the Alt text).
Did I really take one of the more lighthearted-sounding prompts and turn it into something sinister? Why yes, yes I did. I love the psychological horror of the library. These lines of dialogue are so creepy and fascinating (to me) that I wanted to reinterpret them in the worst way possible. Thank goodness for Agumon being there in the real version!
This is the first part of a short series I’m calling “Bad End Takumas,” focusing on a few times in Survive’s narrative where Takuma almost makes a poor choice or meets an unfortunate end, but doesn’t (at least, canonically). I find the what-if-he-did alternate reality of those moments really interesting to think about, even though I can't bring myself to play the game’s actual Bad Ending! The next one in this series won’t be ready for Survive Week, but I do plan on finishing it eventually >:)
Here’s an alternate, desaturated version I liked just as much, as well as textless versions of each.
I finally started the inks for my daily planner project! Mondays belong to Haru. I might end up doing something else with this, hence there are two versions... and just in time for July 1!
"And now I have told you my news, let me ask yours. When are you to be married, and where, and who is to perform the ceremony, and what are you to wear, and is it to be a public or private wedding? Tell me all about it, dear; tell me all about everything, for there is nothing which interests you which will not be dear to me."
I know we saw Mina's letters a few days ago, but we didn't know the full story of what happened until today. Is there a more devastating phrase in Dracula than the words unopened by her? That could be up for debate, but truly, reading them for the first time last year absolutely gutted me. Farewell, sweet Lucy, from everyone who loved you with all the moods and tenses of the verb.
As always, full view recommended, with a couple of close-ups under the cut.
[Part 1] | [Part 2] | [Part 3] | [Part 4]
This is the final part of this series… for now, though I would love to draw some more excerpts from my alternate ballet version of Dracula someday!

"Devils or no devils, or all the devils at once, it matters not. We must fight him all the same."
Part 3 of the Dracula ballet I see in my head. The third transfusion; Van Helsing this time. Surely now all the devilsh details putting Lucy at risk have been accounted for…?
Full view recommended, with a close-up included under the cut.

No man knows till he experiences it, what it is to feel his own life-blood drawn away into the veins of the woman he loves…
Part 2 of the Dracula ballet I see in my head, distinct from the Michael Pink version, because this one includes Jack in all his rolled shirt-sleeves, sleep deprived glory. I’ve been wanting to draw ballet!Jack since last year, and even though I had a pretty tough time with this one, I think it turned out all right in the end.
Full view recommended, with a close-up included under the cut.
