It's a really lovely night for a walk.
Think I may just go do that.

Time Turned Fragile || City + Madeleine ||
“City! Rad name. Is it just City? Or is that, like, a nickname or something?” Madeleine asked curiously, tilting her head to the left a little as she observed the girl shift almost uncomfortably. It never really occurred to her that people were shy or reserved, and as a matter of fact it never really occurred to her that perhaps people wanted to be left alone. Personally, she hated being left alone with herself and she rather liked to think that her company was at least a little bit desirable. Her blue eyes followed the blonde’s arm as she reached across and picked up an album from the same slot Madeleine had just retrieved her own. “Nice to meet you too!” She said, smiling brightly. “I love Radio Friendly Unit Shifter,” she commented in regards to the album that City had pulled out and now held in her hand. The girl’s question came then, and Madeleine nodded in acknowledgement of it. “Right you are, City. I’m from America. Is it that obvious?” She asked, joking because of the fact that her accent very clearly set her apart from everyone else there. She was never one to blend in anyway.
City often got questioned about her name. It wasn't that she minded much, but she introduced herself as City for a reason. She didn't want to be called by her full first name. "It's short for Simplicity. I never thought my life could be described as 'Simple' so I prefer to be called City." She admitted, finding herself opening up a bit more to the girl. She seemed harmless enough and City was convinced she didn't really have to worry about her. At least, she couldn't be much worse than the people her mother brought home. She smiled widely at the girl and returned the vinyl to its spot, deciding she wanted to see if she could find 'The Smiths' album. "It's only obvious from your accent, otherwise you appear just as any girl around here, except much more friendly. What brings you to Liverpool?"
Well hello Liverpool.
No, it’s a nice name I think.
Well I would guess just a typical party, drinking, hanging out, the whole deal, y’know?
Oh... well, thank you. That's nice of you to say. Yeah, that sounds fun. Sounds much better than going home, anyway. Even though I don't know many people here.
Well hello Liverpool.
City? I haven’t heard that name before. Anyways, yeah. There might be a party tonight, you could always come, I’m sure.
Is that a good thing? I suppose my name is actually Simplicity, but that seems highly inaccurate and rather silly. I always figured City made more sense. A party? What kind of party?
Well hello Liverpool.
Sarcasm. I’ts a lovely thing.
Anyways, I’m Hayden.
Ah, I guess I'm not the best at detecting it. I wish there was something going on. Liverpool gets quite boring just walking around.
I'm City. It's nice to meet you, Hayden.
Well hello Liverpool.
Seems quite lively here already…
Lively? Where are you? I've been walking around town for hours and not seen anything 'lively'.
Fan girls .
Yeah, lucky me. I always have the psycho fan girls, and not the ones who just want a high five, an autograph, a kiss on their cheek or something else simple and harmless. Well, I think I’m just gonna find out if there’s anything to do later. They’ll be gone and away from my house, hopefully.
Well, I suppose when you're a model you have to have a form of... seduction. I'm sure that's just difficult for teenaged girls with hormones to resist. Besides, shouldn't it be a sort of compliment?
You mean they're at your house? I take back what I said about it being a compliment. That's just creepy.
Fan girls .
Yes, that was my bitch ass running out. I really thought they were going to rip my clothes to shreds.. One girl actually tried to take my Beats. Well, that’s why I said tonight. I have nothing planned tonight anyway.
Er, wow, it sounds like you have a pretty crazy fan base. I'm relieved that I don't have that issue at all.
Well, are you sticking with hiding out, then? Or are you insinuating you'd like to find something to do?
Time Turned Fragile || City + Madeleine ||
“Morrissey?” Madeleine raised an eyebrow, peering over the girl’s shoulder at the record she had in her hand. “Way cool, dude,” she nodded in approval an took a step back and then one to the side so that she came up on the girl’s left. Absentmindedly running her fingers over the records, she sighed and glanced back up at the girl, whom she’d never seen before. “I’m Madeleine,” the brunette said, flipping through the section labeled ‘N’ until she found Nirvana: Nevermind, the album she’d come out of her flat to get. Oftentimes she would make little trips here and there by herself, but she hated taking the underground alone and she hated even more the fact that she couldn’t drive herself anyplace. She was either dependent on other people, or the public transportation system that she cringed away from.
She flipped the album on her hands over and her eyes scanned the track list and then she let the album fall to her side, still held firmly in her hand. Madeleine could appreciate music. She didn’t necessarily have to like the song, but she could appreciate it’s value through way of it’s lyrics and composition and she found herself listening to anything and everything she could get her hands on. Her music taste was very distinct, for when she wasn’t feeling open-minded and receptive there were plenty of things she wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole.
City wasn't expecting anyone to speak a word to her, or perhaps merely hoped she'd be left alone. City was horribly shy and rarely spoke audibly. She was better at being quiet and meek, but the girl was pretty. She dressed nicely and City thought for a moment that it might not have been such a bad idea to make a friend. Clearly, Madeleine was American from the way she spoke and City tilted her head at the girl. "Oh, I'm City..." She spoke quietly, an obvious timidness about her as her body stiftened. "It's nice to meet you. Nirvana is a good choice as well." She looked at the other Nirvana albums and pulled one out, "I think 'In Utero' is my favorite of there's though. You're not from here originally are you?"
Fan girls .
One of them recognized me when I was in the record store.. She was all ‘It’s V! Vincent Lloyd! Oh my god!’ and the other girls with her just started screaming like mad women.. And that was my cue to be out. I guess I won’t be going anywhere tonight.
That was you? I was wondering what was going on over there. Did they follow you? I know they ran out after you did. That's too bad, though. You shouldn't allow crazy girls to keep you confined.
Time Turned Fragile || City + Open ||
The days felt like they were dragging on for ages. City would wake up, check to make sure her mom was alive. She would start to clean up the needles and any mess that her mother and her 'friends' made the night prior. Then, she would make breakfast for herself and her mother before heading to work to pay for their apartment, go grocery shopping and return home only briefly to stock up the groceries. City spent her nights trying to stay as far away from home as possible. Anything was better than watching her mother shove needles into her inner elbow and filling the apartment with smoke from meth and other undetectable drugs. City didn't ask what she was on, nor did she care. She just wanted to do what she had to and leave.
And so, as the sun started to set, City made her way downtown, not fully knowing where she was headed or what she was going to do with herself. Her feet just moved, her mind blank and unamused. Eventually, she found her way to the record store, walking in without hesitation. She could never afford to buy any music with saving up most of her money for when she could leave the hell hole called 'Liverpool', but still enjoyed listening to the music and discovering new things. Although, there were many records she'd love and only wish she could own such things, but her mother made it impossible. Sighing, she walked around the store slowly, stopping at the vinyls to see what they had, flipping casually through the decently large collection. Some were cheap and City wondered if she could risk a bit of money for a good vinyl.
ooc.
If I make an open para will someone respond to it?
And I'm back ;)
Yes…Hi City! Good to see you.
How have you been? What brings you back here anyway? I'd think a big star like you would be relaxing somewhere tropical with nicer weather.
Afternoon, people.
What’s goin’ oooon?
Afternoon. I don't think we've met. I'm City.
It seems the same as any other day, but it's a beautiful day so the beach might be in order.
