NINTH TASK: JULY 1ST - JULY 31ST

Our ninth City of Dreams task will be… AU Prompts!

Everyone loves a good AU moment. Whether that is imaging your celebs as “normal” people with normal jobs or giving them a second chance at love with a former co-worker, it’s always fun to put your celebrities in situations you usually wouldn’t find them in! Is your celeb a popstar? Maybe they can live another life as a music teacher! Do you ever imagine what it would be like if your athletic celeb was a movie star instead? You can make it happen! Has your celeb ever expressed a desire to do something else if they weren’t famous? You can give them that life!

For this task, we’re giving you free reign to make whatever kind of post you’d like to represent your celeb(s) in their Alternate Universe. This could be a para with a ship partner, social media posts, moodboards, or whatever you’d like! You can post as many as you want for as many celebrities you like. The possibilities are endless! This is a completely optional task, but we’d still like to see what you come up with! If you’re stuck or unsure of what you’d like to do, feel free to refer to this list and its prompts!

EIGHTH TASK: JUNE 1ST - JUNE 30TH

Our eighth City of Dreams task will be…. What is your Happy Place?

Does your celeb have a favorite vacation spot? Is their home their happy place? What about when they’re working? Do they have a favorite restaurant that they would consider their happy place? Is it a person? A pet? The possibilities are endless!

For this task, you’re welcome to create a moodboard for your celeb’s happy place. You can also write about it, have your celeb post to Instagram about it, or whatever your heart desires! Just make sure you have your celeb tell us why they chose this certain person/place/thing, etc. for their happy place!

Our seventh City of Dreams task will be….connection inspired moodboards!

Connections are the foundation of roleplay, the heart of our muses, and what makes us want to be online every single day. Whether the connection be romantic, platonic, familial, or even a negative connection, they all serve to boost our muses and build up the worlds we’re all creating. 

This month, we want to see you make moodboards to show off the connections your muses have! You can make as many as you want, and whatever style of moodboard you choose. Here are two examples of moodboard styles to help you: gif moodboard or aesthetic moodboard. october: pumpkin carving // @cityofdreamstasks​ THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW

Ryan’s pumpkin is a replica of one that sits atop a scarecrow in Tim Burton’s imagining of Sleepy Hollow. While Halloween might be a year-round festivity for this spooky baby, this time of year is when he really flourishes; he is something of a traditionalist when it comes to honoring the holiday but he cannot resist a dark tale and the classics are often his go-to choice for a spine-chilling evening (though he does appreciate the contemporary horror too). From an artistic standpoint, Burton has always been something of an inspiration for Ryan; creating fantastical, gloomy worlds that he often felt right at home in, but the original story itself is one he so loves and has read cover-to-cover multiple times, particularly around October and in the run up to Samhain. And, of course, his pet salamander, Lickabod Crane, was named after the main character.

Our sixth City of Dreams task will be….Pumpkin Carving!

Inspired by the spooky season, our next task will dive in to a classic Halloween tradition: Pumpkin carving! The idea is simple: pick an image of a carved pumpkin out online that you feel best suits your muse. This could be one that they potentially carved themselves, something that evokes a personal memory, or something that you feel best represents your muse. Then, write a blurb explaining why you chose this particular carved pumpkin for your muse and its significance to them. This can be as long or as short as you want, whatever your spooky heart desires!
